Sometimes this pharmacy works just like it is supposed to, and sometimes it is deeply frustrating.
Their system wasn’t allowing me to have a certain vaccination. I talked to a certain pharmacist several times about it. The last time, she guaranteed me she was going to look into this to make it possible, or at a minimum would call me back in a couple days to at least tell me what she had found out. She never called me back. When I called there, someone else just told me that it wasn’t going to happen and that I needed to look elsewhere.
My doctor had called in a medicine for me on a Friday that I needed to start soon. I called on Sat, and they said it was on order for Monday. I called Monday morning, and they said it would be there by 3p. My wife went there at 4p, and they said they didn’t have it, and they didn’t know when it would be ready, and that I might have to get it from somewhere else. If I had known that, I could have started looking for a different pharmacy on Sat.
Their automated refill system is underwhelming. More often than not, I have to call to see if the automatic refill will actually take place. They’ll click in their computer and say yes it will be ready tomorrow. Then I have to call the next morning and ask when it will be ready. They’ll click on their computer and say ok, it’ll be ready in a couple hours. Then I can go pick it up. If I don’t make those phone calls, the supposed automatic refill won’t actually happen because either the medication wasn’t in stock, or no one actually got it ready. Even though it’s supposed to be filled automatically, they often won’t get the medicine actually ready unless you call them. A few years ago, it wasn’t like this, but more often than not, it’s now the norm

They do not answer the phone during the hours they advertise. I called fifteen times in a row in search of help. No duty of care whatsoever. This is horrible.

If you guys don't find good employees to work the pharmacy, you will be closing up this location. How can you not do your job? I don't understand

I called ahead to the pharmacy to confirm I could get a vaccination, made an appointment and showed up on time. When I get there, they first think they don’t have the vaccination, then they say they can’t give it to me because the CDC guidelines changed the prior month. I’m ok if you can’t provide a medication or service based on guidelines, but don’t make me go through the effort of calling, booking an appointment, and coming into the pharmacy in person and then talk to me with an attitude when I’m asking for why things changed. I asked if I needed a prescription and WOW that’s when they doubled down on the real nasty attitude. So if you want no health support, a bad experience and people who hate their job and dump on you, check out Rite Aid Eastgate!

I'm convinced this pharmacy is the 7th ring of hell. I legitimately CRY on my way there if I have to go, I would rather muck out a horse stall in the cold than deal with these people. Unfortunately they are the ONLY place that takes my insurance within 15 miles. The worst. Today I was there THRICE (because possibly I angered the baby Jesus?!?) Long story short - "new" pharmacy technician charged me for some meds at full price. After I asked- I am not kidding you- five times if she was using insurance. She assured me yes yes yes (with such a terrible attitude and like I just want you out of my face so I can go on break kind of thing.) I said hey, this charged me, I usually have no copay through insurance. She. Didn't. Run. It. Through. Insurance. Y'all. (Five times I asked. Nicely. She just wanted to be done. I can't. So then the pharmacist comes over to refund me. I said hey, look, I asked her several times, please make sure she knows about insurance (kind of her job). She told me *I quote* It's her 2nd day. Ummm, first of all she was rude to me two different times over the last two weeks so I know that was a lie. Which is what I said. The pharmacist was not a fan of that. Then all my medication was put back (I let them know I would be back in an hour because I had to verify my insurance. Again.) and I could wait an hour for them to refill it. Like, I have kids in the car hungry, I have more work, I just waited in line for 23 minutes, I need my meds. That you had. Two hours ago. Suddenly it's put back and I have to sit and wait. No. I can't. Avoid this place if you have literally any possible way to. Ugh.

I am 75 years old. The Corporate people don't trust their associates to be able to tell that I am old enough to buy alcohol. They used to look at my drivers license. Now they want me to scan my drivers license into the Rite Aid computer. I don't purchase alcohol from them anymore. I don't trust a chapter 11 company with collecting that personal information, or any other corporation.

My first job out of high school was at a Rite Aid (Rossmoor location wha wha), and the facing job in this pharmacy section was a serious hot mess, everything looked out of place and askew. I asked the Pharmacist where the finger splints were and she didn't know and told me to ask an associate. In my day our Pharmacist would come out and walk you to the section you needed help with, hand you the item, and ask if you had any questions. I don't know if RA has really changed that much, but there will be no smile awards for you my unhelpful Pharmacist friend. We ended up finally finding a finger split at a Bartells, which also had tape and finger sleeves. So yeah, from now on that's where the honey and I are going to go for last minute medical items, sorry Rite Aid.

I have been waiting for my Prescription for 2 months. So, 2 months behind in my Treatment. When it was available, no call, no E-Mail, no Text. I went in and tried to pick it up and they had returned it. Again, no call etc. so they said it would be in in 2 days. It isn’t in and again no call. And I get a call from my Doctor about my Prescription for it. My Doctor called in the Script 2 Months ago. They have zero clue what is going on at that Pharmacy. Absolutely ridiculous. They do not care at all. Then I called in again for my Prescription to see when it would be ready. They said it was on back order. They Lady with an accent was so condescending and rude it was funny. She told me I should try and get it through other Pharmacies. I asked to speak to the Manager Ash, she said she wasn’t in. I asked for her name and she would not give it to me and then hung up!!! SMH.

I’d probs say the best pharmacy in wa. Super friendly from the head pharmacists down to the tech. They have quirky but likable energy. They are also dealing w a lot of messes rn w the shortages and back orders and have to face a lot of upset customers because of this, so bonus points for their resiliently positive attitudes.

My wife just visited this location to pick up a prescription. She said that the pharmacist informed her that they were closed for lunch, which is fine, and that she was very rude about it, which is not fine. Someone working in a retail pharmacy should be empathetic toward customers. They also recently refused to fill a prescription for my mother-in-law who was visiting from out of town. Even after discussing with her doctor, they said that they didn’t feel it was medically necessary and declined to fill the prescription. This place used to have everything. Now they have empty shelves and rude employees. The only thing left in their favor is a good location.

Worst customer service ever. Rude employees. I’d give it zero stars if possible.
