I was shopping for a new sectional and was testing one out today and encountered the rudest imaginable customer service! I’m seriously shopping so that means testing comfort with different positions - I’d think that’s reasonable? Physical stores and floor models are there for that purpose. I had my feet up on the chaise and made sure to take off my shoes. I was researching Crate & Barrel vs Pottery Barn quality when I read a comment about how terrible Pottery Barn customer service was.
Miraculously a blonde lady with short hair in a ponytail came to ask if I needed help, and as I was putting my feet down, she proceeded to look at them with disdain and told me to put my shoes on. Embarrassed and taken aback I put my shoes on immediately as I explained that I thought it would be cleaner with my shoes off, but she walked away and side eyed me without acknowledgement.
Still trying to make sense of what happened and considering whether I should continue to shop, another middle aged lady with a dark curly mop came and rudely told me to keep my shoes on (I already had them on).
Was it necessary to talk down to me a second time? If it was about not having feet on furniture at all, why didn’t they lead with that? Telling me to put my shoes on was pure condescension. Surely there was some racism and judgement of our casual clothing. It would do well to learn some gentle manners with customers especially in this economy.
I spent 1.5 hours at crate & barrel prior to this and tried their sectionals with my feet up and received amazing customer service. I’ve always purchased from them and will continue to do so. Thanks for making my decision easy.

Please fire the lady working custom couches / furniture design this past Sunday afternoon. Came in with bf and as he was considering recliner design options, I asked him where the recliner would go? She turned around glared at me and said “In a house you don’t own?!” Never before have I met such a rude and unprofessional sales lady in my life. Looked to be about in her late 50s, dark hair, lots of over the top rings and jewelry on. Can you imagine the number of sales she’s costed the store as a result of the lack of professionalism? Strongly recommend an internal investigation.

Amazing stop for home decor items. They have things like furniture, linens, pillows, curtains, dishware, stuff like that. The prices are steep, on the high end side. It’s a big store and the staff are nice. It’s cool to go in and get a look around, it’s almost like a classy IKEA.

Zero Stars!!!!! Literally 12 months of headaches and ended up having to return everything. No one should ever shop here. If you order a deliver for something, be forewarned you will receive product late, and damaged. Also, you will have to deal with a third party delivery service who is not accountable, neither is Ryder, and PB customer service is such a joke it’d be embarrassed to work for this company.

Me and my bf was sitting at the couch today, and one of the lady approached to us and asked us sarcastically if we need any help, we said no, we're just sitting and checking the sofa. She then asked us, "Are you guys going to purchase the sofa?" Like I said earlier, checking the sofa DOES NOT mean we are going to buy it today. I said No, and she said "NOPE, then LEAVE". This is the horrible costumer service i have ever received at the furniture store. They think they can say whatever they want to customers. Really sorry to them since they can't even do their job right, which is offering a good customer service. Because of this experience, I am not willing to buy anything from here and never come back.

Never ordering furniture from West Elm / Pottery Barn / Williams-Sonoma again. I ordered a couch in Nov'22, and FINALLY received it in Mar'23, but it came without the legs. There are metal pieces on the bottom of the couch so I can't put it on my hardwood or use the couch. Was told the "partial order" team has a 8-12 BUSINESS DAY turn around just to reply to emails which is ridiculous in it's own right. They ordered them after some time and it's now May 26th and I finally received the legs (which should've taken 2 days to get to me after I received the couch, NOT TWO MONTHS). However, I only received HALF of the legs I need, and have contacted customer support again. This is beyond ridiculous. Anyone giving this business 5 stars obviously has only window shopped with no purchases or intent to buy.

Nice stuff but will take 9 months - 1 year to get a product. Not sure how they’re still in business with those delivery times.

Very very very bad shipping experience, do NOT buy anything not in store! We bought a dining table in Sept 22 and delivery date was Feb. Nothing happened yet. We have to contact them and every time it will be at least 1hr waiting and transferred multiple times. Last time we checked the table stand arrived but not the other parts. What the fxxk? And we asked when can we expect the rest to arrive - answer is they don't know, nobody knows. So far 1 month went by and again nothing happened. All their shipping staff should be fired.

I should have heeded the other reviews I read and saved myself 2500$. Pottery Barn deserves 0 stars and a law suit for deceiving customers. Their open box items in their own words "opened and returned and show minimal wear". Keyword "minimal wear". What I got was a couch that was completely gouged by a dog and had marks all over it. There was dog hair on the couch and indentation on the back and seat where whoever used to own this couch used to sit everyday. It was clearly well used and then returned, but they would not accept our return. If only Pottery Barn had been upfront about the condition of their product. I'd prefer to buy from Craigslist than Pottery Barn, at least I know what I'm getting at Craigslist. Never ever buying anything from them again.
