I had a bad shopping experience on 9/15/2024. This was my first bad shopping experience at Moncler out of my approximately 10 times visiting Moncler over the past five years. This was my first time visiting their Bellevue location.
I found a product I liked. I purchased the hat for $290 + tax, the price on the price tag. When I looked at my credit card I saw the charge was $358.15. I checked the receipt and saw the product charge was $325 + tax, even though the price tag was $290. I contacted the store to see why I was charged $35 more than I should have been charged.
I was put in touch with Roberta, a manager at Moncler. She told me that they made a mistake. They recently raised their prices but did not update the prices on the merchandise. She let me know Moncler consistently charges the new price without necessarily letting the customer know they are charging the consumer more than the listed price. I was kind. But I also let Roberta know that her approach to pricing sounds potentially illegal.
Roberta told me I had two options. Pay the extra $35 and keep the hat or drive 50 minutes, each way, plus parking, to return the hat. I told her that spending two hours, plus gas and mileage, and paid parking to return a hat over $35 seemed silly. I feel that Moncler should refund the $35 since Roberta as their representative even admitted it is Moncler's mistake.
Roberta assured me that Moncler's practice is to charge customers different prices than are listed on the price tag. She sees no problem with this and reiterated I could drive to her and return the hat or pay an additional $35.
I expect more from Moncler. I had Roberta repeat her stance multiple times because I found it unbelievable that a luxury goods company would admit they made a $35 error, that I'm pretty sure is illegal if they do not fix it, and take the stance that they will lose a customer over this.
So I'm taking the $4,000ish I've spent on Moncler since I fell in love with the brand while visiting Paris in December 2021, and spending no more. My wife immediately switched to Celine rain boots instead of the Moncler ones she was planning to purchase that week. I remain confused that a company with a customer's purchase history, a luxury goods company, is willing to lose a good customer over a $35 mistake they admit that they made. But Moncler lost a customer for life over them admitting they are unethical and saying straight-faced that they do not care.

Their products are good but I wouldn’t recommend getting your coat cleaned here. We paid to get our coat professionally cleaned and it came back with discoloration on the sleeves and in other spots. I would recommend the store but not the cleaning service.

I think he looks like a manager, but he has long hair and bronze hair. He is so friendly and makes me feel good, so I'm changing it from 1 star to 5 stars.

Very poor durability and custom supportI purchased a premium down jacket from Moncler two and a half years ago, expecting high quality and durability given the brand's reputation and the product's price point. Initially, the jacket met my expectations in terms of style and comfort. However, after following the recommended care instructions and only the second time of dry cleaning, the ribbon band, which is glued to the front zipper, broke open. This was surprising and disappointing, as the jacket had only undergone gentle and professional dry cleaning at reputable local shops.Seeking a solution, I sent the jacket in for repair, trusting in Moncler's customer service to uphold the quality of their high-end products. Regrettably, the response I received was unsatisfactory. I was informed that the "fabric is not available", and the jacket was returned to me unrepaired, with no alternative solution or replacement offered (even with cost out of my own pocket). This is simply unacceptable for a premium brand. They do NOT stand behind their product, period.I would never buy from them again, brand like Arcteryx and Patagonia have always stood behind their products and provided straight replacement when no alternate solution was found. Save your money and hassle and stay away.

This is high end franchise but I felt like service could've been better well done, especially at the door. We opened it and the security guard attempted to close it while explaining that the store was full. We waited around and a family of five soon came out after. We thought that we could make it into the store since our group was the same size, but the security person still seemed hesitant. He went in and asked and came to the door and nodded implying that the door could be opened, rather just opening it for us at this point. Anyhow, the experience inside was exceptional. We were greeted quickly and found something we liked, it had the style where it made the waist smaller, except only in size 0 and not 1. We were told that they could order it for us, however, if a return was to be made, since it is ordered online, that we would get only store credit instead of the full refund. Was there for about an hour trying on things and they were super patient with us even though we didn't get anything there.

Pathetic service compared to other Moncler stores.I had bought a jacket from the NY store, and realized when I came back home that I needed a different size, so I went to the Bellevue store for an exchange. They took the jacket, and said that they’ll have to ship the size I needed from another store, and they will get the new size in 3-5 business days. There were no updates from the rep for 5 days, and when I checked with him, he still hadn’t even put in an order for the size I needed.I ended up picking up the jacket back from the store because the rep wouldn’t give me any ETA for when the new size would be available.Eventually, I texted the NY store rep, who created a return label for me within 10 minutes, and shipped the size I needed to my home! All free of cost, and without any hassles.

Be warned: No returns are accepted once you pay, even you hasn’t left the store. Exchange or store credit only.Advice: find the style you like and shop on moncler’s website. You can return/exchange an online order within 20 days.Funny thing:Before sales: You are our most valuable customer. After sales: Sorry, I am busy with other clients.

Do not buy anything from this store unless you are 100% certain you like and want something. Their return exchange policy is terrible and you will be stuck with a high end product you're not happy with.

Have you ever been to any store and not been able to return a full price Xmas item? Well, this was a first. I was within the 20 days and I had even called ahead to ask if online purchases could be returned here. I waited 20 minutes to get in the store, another 20 for another couple to finish a transaction that also sounded botched only to have the worker say that because it was December 31 she could not complete the transaction. She offered to hold my $1200 shoes until Monday when she could call headquarters. She could also help me package up the item to send by UPS- what I should have done an hour ago at home. Reading the other reviews, it sounds like this location is a franchise . That would be fine. She should have just told me on the phone from the beginning.
