I had a wonderful experience with Mercer Education. This center helped improve my performance on the SAT and helped me navigate the college process. Eric Cohen worked incredibly hard in making sure I got high quality, yet timely, feedback on my college essays, and always went the extra mile in providing ways to enhance my topic in order for it to stand out. The instructors for the Verbal and Math SAT Prep classes were always supportive, and private SAT Reading lessons with Dr. Lloyd gave me new strategies and confidence. Classes at Mercer, while keeping up with the work demand, lead to great results.

We had a great experience with Mercer Education. My daughter was determined to raise her ACT scores. We asked around and Mercer Ed came highly recommended by some very good family friends. Prior to signing on with them, my daughter and I had a long phone call with the owner, Eric, to discuss what my daughter’s goals were and what the company had to offer. Eric emphasized that a large improvement in test scores was definitely possible but that it would take significant commitment on my daughter’s part. We decided to give it a try. My daughter did indeed work hard. She attended an 8 week session in which she took group classes for both math/science and verbal and did all the requisite homework for both. When she sat for her first actual ACT, her score increased significantly from the initial practice tests that she had taken. She was so pleased. We believe that the combination of her effort and the good strategies she learned at Mercer Ed made all the difference.

One of the best tutoring centers in the Eastside. I came here for help on my college essays and I got into a lot of top colleges with their help. Eric Cohen was very helpful and always ready to help. He was not just deliberate on making sure the essays are good but also that they stand out. He has a thorough understanding of the application process an was very helpful all the time. I also came here for ACT tutoring and ended up getting a 36!I highly recommend this place for all students.

The tutors are professional and very helpful. They create an environment of comfort where I never feel afraid to ask any questions-- no matter how dumb I believe them to be. Eric Cohen provided consistently high quality assistance and would respond very quickly with helpful feedback in any aspect of the college application process for me. Overall, Mercer provides good services that push their students to really improve on whatever they needed help with

My husband and I are from Eastern Europe, and we were not familiar with college application process in US. So, when our son was in the 11 grade, we were lucky to find Mercer Education to help guide us though the process. My son took College Admissions Prep class where he learned about college essays and the whole admission process. He also had some SAT tutoring sessions. He did very well on his SAT in November 2020 , in fact he got the perfect score 1600! For comparison, his PSAT score in October 2019 was 1390, so it is clear to me that Mercer Education tutoring helped him a lot. In general, we had a great experience with all the office staff when we had to reschedule our sessions, etc. My son is very happy with his college choice and we thank Mercer education for all the help!

I had a great experience at Mercer Education in the SAT/ACT camp and especially the College Essay camp provided for high school seniors. I see a couple reviews of people complaining that their ACT scores did not improve, but it is up to the student how much effort they will put in and if they will take advantage of the resources they are being given. I personally saw a significant increase in my ACT score from a 30-31 to a 35. Additionally, the college essay instructor went above and beyond to read every single essay he received, provide great feedback, and even to help trim down words to meet a word count. I even received help for an additional essay following the conclusion of the camp despite them not having an obligation to do so. This camp was a great value and most definitely a steal as the cost of the camp was almost underpriced for the amount of help and attention I received. 10/10 would recommend!

We had heard about Mercer Education for years but were unable to have our son attend due to the distance from our home. When they took their classes online, our son was finally able to benefit from the instruction of their excellent instructors. The calculus tutoring with Dr. Lloyd was especially helpful after some false starts elsewhere, and now our son is on his way to a promising future. Thank you, Team Mercer!

Mercer Education is an excellent option for families to bolster their kids academic opportunities. Getting to a good university is critical to help insure your child’s strong education , making it possible for them to acquire fulfilling careers that pay well. Mercer Education continues to help us work towards these goals. Friendly, courteous and professional, with an open minded view of just how diverse each families needs can be. The man in charge promised to be helpful and answer any questions I had when I first signed up. Tried to get in contact to ask some questions and get his recommendation on some things and he never responded. I would frequently ask and he would always say he was busy.

The staff is bad.Don't send your kid here.They will just take your money and teach your kid nothing.The teachers threaten the kids if the they don't do something right then your out.
