We absolutely love KLA school! I have 2 kiddos attending and they’ve both thrived since starting here. The teachers are absolutely wonderful and most days, they don’t want to leave school, they want to stay.

I can not recommend KLA enough. My son has been going there for 2 and a half years and loves it. I never have to worry about him not wanting to go to school, which makes early morning drop off so much easier. Ms. Lauren is amazing, she makes my son feel so welcome and comfortable. He talks about her at home all the time. She is not even his classroom teacher, but you wouldn't know that by the way she welcomes him in the morning!

Having recently had the privilege of touring KLA Preschool, I am absolutely captivated by the enchanting atmosphere they have crafted through the Reggio Emilia Approach. While my own child isn't enrolled (yet!), the experience left an indelible impression that compelled me to share my thoughts.KLA Preschool is a hidden gem that exudes a sense of wonder and creativity from the moment you step inside. The utilization of the Reggio Emilia Approach is seamlessly integrated into their philosophy, setting them apart as a beacon of innovative early education.During the tour, I was struck by the careful consideration that went into designing each space. The classrooms are reminiscent of art studios, equipped with thoughtfully chosen materials that inspire imagination and exploration. It's evident that the school values the journey of learning just as much as the end result. The dedication to collaboration and open communication between educators and students is evident in the vibrant interactions I observed. The staff's genuine passion for teaching and nurturing young minds is palpable, making every child feel seen and valued. What truly impressed me was the way KLA Preschool celebrates each child's unique identity. The emphasis on tailoring activities to individual interests ensures that learning is a deeply personal adventure for every child. It was heartening to witness how this approach instills a sense of confidence and autonomy in the students.Although I haven't enrolled my child at KLA, I left the premises with a profound sense of reassurance. The commitment to fostering environmental awareness and sustainable practices showed me that the school is not just invested in academic growth, but also in raising responsible global citizens. All in all, my brief tour of KLA Preschool left me thoroughly inspired and eager to explore the possibility of enrolling my child in the future. The Reggio Emilia-inspired environment, dedicated staff, and the palpable aura of joyful learning make KLA an exceptional choice for parents seeking an exceptional early education for their children.

We are now having our 3rd child enroll in KLA. We have 4+ years experience enrolling our kids in KLA. The review is long overdue.KLA is a hidden gem. It has a convenient location, clean facility, and most importantly a caring owner. This is something hard to know when you are touring a new school, but after years of working with Maria, we are very confident to say she simply cares about our child and our family. The most important thing for our kids is the teacher in the classroom. Unfortunately childcare industry in our region has lots of teacher churns, and this is the case for all daycare facilities. From our experience KLA has pretty stable staff, most of the teachers we've worked with worked here for 1-2 years. Maria herself is an experienced educator and when we do have teacher change, we have our trust in Maria to step in and fill in the gap while finding the new teacher. Having caring owners as a strong anchor definitely helps with uncertainly of staffing! We also toured Bright Horizon, and find KLA to be on par with BH on facility, but much more reasonable on the tuition.I hope you would find this review helpful, definitely tour the school if you are looking for a daycare center for your loved ones.

So they have a new Manager/Director and she's can run nothing well , i saw teachers quitting as within the following week she was there , They don't teach kids nothing , all the stuff on walls Is just for show I realized , I've seen teachers using iPads to calm the toddlers down , there should be no screen time , and I picked up my child early and saw they lights in for nap time , next to a toddler class did not make any sense to have them with lights on next to toddler classroom, i looked on dcyf to see if that's supposed to be happening and it's not , those toddlers may be having trouble sleeping . I see there is no learning here , don't take your kids here . The teachers are nice but nothings running good , they mixed the pre k classes together and then the teacher quit , then I saw new ones and within in a week . And I saw 2 pre k teachers quit that same week . And I saw it due to being very stressed out because of management. I ran in to two teachers recently and they said they quit because of management. And I would agree what she has been doing that I been seeing was teachers moving to different classes no stability. They opened a new class younger toddlers and looks like the lady that was in there was very stressed out , they end up moving her back with the older toddlers but looks like they did it because I heard the main teacher in that green toddler classroom is leaving to because of the management. That she's running things badly and teachers are getting stressed out with her . I see every day that the teachers looking frustrated and for my knowledge I seen her( director ) being rude the teacher that could not handle the red toddler classroom , if i can see it as a parent that teachers was so stressed why would the director keep in her there so long , the teacher looked miserable , and children see that and feel that , i saw them whining a lot with her , I went one time and saw a young lady like a teenager scrubbing walls that's horrible , I'm sure they don't hire teens to be a janitor, and I'm sure teens don't sign of for work like that . And it was so frustrating seeing the lady at front every day yelling in the walkie talkie to have kids come to front , she was visibly upset one time when I heard her yell this is not working, it sounded so unprofessional to me every time I see miss P. She's seems tired and grumpy to me .I strongly feel like with the teachers being stressed so much Children feel that stress . wish they had the previous director ms.Chen she was so sweet , the new one ms . Patricia is not so friendly . Sadly by child will no longer be at kla school of bellevue, i would I highly recommend going else where , if you see it fill up for summer that's because most need a summer babysitter . As my experience talking to other parents the Reggio Emilia approach dose not teach anything unless it's just that school in bellevue , i Would suggest Montessori or stem approach. GOOD LUCk

We're still at KLA and very happy there! Our oldest is now 3 years old and she loves going to school. She can write her name, knows all the planets and can do basic math. So it's not just a daycare, this is an enriching environment for our youngest learners! They have great attention to detail with how the rooms are set up to inspire children to learn and be creative (check out Reggio Amelia, it's the type of education approach they use and it's focused on self discovery.) A few other great additions recently is an app we use to get updates, bill pay and see pictures during the day. They also have implemented great safety precautions for Covid and with zero cases among staff or children have remained open this entire time (thankfully!!). We also love that they provide a variety of well balanced food during the day provided by FareStart catering (a great local company). The one downside is the outdoor space isn't huge. I've seen some schools that have really sprawling outdoor space, which theirs is not. They make great use of the space and the kids are out there playing rain or shine and having tons of fun so it's never been an issue of concern for us. They do lots of season outdoor activities too like planting vegetables, playing in leaves, splash days etc We've been a family there for years so we've seen them grow and have been very pleased with the care and education they provide. Highly recommend. Check out their Instagram and Facebook for tons of photos of the school!

I am a pretty tough customer considering I am both a first time mom and an experienced educator, but my family and I could not be more impressed and satisfied with our time at KLA School of Bellevue. I toured almost a dozen schools before choosing KLA and in my opinion they are superior in their developmentally-appropriate approach with children, cleanliness and vibrant environment, and the level of care they show to the children who attend. Sending your baby to daycare in the time of COVID is not ideal for anyone, but the staff at KLA have handled this difficult situation with precision and grace. Between daily screenings, and well-thought-out procedures and precautions, the children, staff, and families have remained safe and healthy. The administrative staff are friendly, professional, and timely with their communication. The teachers are warm, loving, and energetic. My son has been in the best of care since he started attending KLA. He LOVES his teacher, has learned so much, and is presented with daily activities to help him explore colors, textures, and different art mediums; all to better understand the world around him. Every day we are notified about his eating, sleeping, and when his diapers are changed. We receive numerous pictures capturing all the fun and learning he is doing while we are apart from him as well. We are so happy we found the KLA School of Bellevue. All my worries about sending my baby to daycare are gone and now we just enjoy the wonderful experience it is to be a part of their community.

My experience at KLA has been great so far. I have had a few experiences with childcare facilities between my two children and this has been one of the top places. The teachers are great and the daycare philosophy works well with each child's needs. The ratio of small child to teacher is kept low relative to licensure requirements. My child seems to have adapted well and don't plan on moving daycares anytime soon.

KLA Bellevue is a great school for children whose parents choose a caring and attentive staff! Lots of hands on learning and experimenting, and all the activities that support children's social/ emotional and physical developmental domains! Great teacher - parent collaboration and a very knowledgeable head of the school!

Very incompetent teachers and staff. Facilities look fine - I guess the franchise has to keep that up to continue business but their quality of most "teachers" is very poor and under qualified. Would not recommend this school if you're looking for quality care. We had a series of terrible incidents and pulled our child out - our only regret is not having done that sooner. Enrolled in this school in a hurry as we moved in from out of town but after pulling our kid out, explored more schools and really regretted our decision to go with KLA as there are SO many better options in the area. Still in touch with some of their older staff that left (they just can't retain the good ones) and some other parents who associated with the school and they all share the same opinion. Do yourself a favor and stay away!
