Don’t bother going here. I was a repeat customer, who used to see Layne and Coco, and just had a gut wrenching experience here. I made an appointment weeks ago online, got a babysitter, took time off of work for the afternoon - all so i could get my hair cut and colored before a big event.I’d also like to add context that i know my hair takes extra time. On Monday i called their salon MULTIPLE times to confirm that there was enough time for my appointment (receipts attached). The person who picked up, assured me many times that there was an extra 30 minutes to both of my appointments and it would be fine.When i showed up (right on time) the manager, Tyler, told me that there wasn’t any time for my appointments and i would have to come back another day. Of course, i got extremely frustrated - they wouldn’t do anything today? Not a cut or color? They couldn’t get help for either appointment? As we continued to argue, he asked me to tone it down (i wasn’t yelling, but i was clearly frustrated) and when i said I’d like to record this conversation he very aggressively and condescendly asked me to leave. I was on the verge of tears, asking why he would do that when i clearly did everything in my power to be a good customer and he said i needed to leave or he would call security.I write this standing outside my appointment, frustrated, disappointed and completely shocked at the way i was treated. I would NEVER recommend this salon or experience to anyone.Services: Balayage

They call me to cancel my appointment and have no hair stylist to cover. Their services have gone downhill. The whole point of going there and paying that extra money is to be pampered. You don’t get pampered anymore. My hair stylist is amazing, but the company itself is not what it use to be. I don’t recommend this place when you can go elsewhere with better service.

I got a bad pixie cut by a stylist there and I complained to a manager. They offered me 50% off the price and had Armani, another stylist fix it. Armani not only clipped and sliced my right ear but she flat ironed my hair while it was wet. As my hair sizzled and burned I asked her to stop. Armani told me not to worry. She said it was the product in my hair that was making that sizzle sound and continued on. My hair is now permanently damaged and horribly fried. Some pieces have broken off. I went in because my hair was cut badly, now it’s permanently destroyed as well. My hair was not damaged prior to my appointment. I honestly believe that Armani destroyed my hair on purpose. I’m having a hard time dealing with this, not just because my hair is destroyed but because another human could be so cruel. Location Gene Juarez South Hill

If there was zero stars I would. Horrible customer service from the moment I walked in. I scheduled weeks out, took time off work and got a baby sitter. I checked in for a color service and was told they would be with me shortly. When the colorist came and got me from the lobby she was very rude. The first stylist who received me from the first moment received me with a bad attitude, so much so that I leave my haircut to another stylist, who did take care of me in the best way, thank you very much.

BEWARE -- they have hired incompetent people to answer phones and manage their salons. I'm appalled at the terrible service I got today. I identified myself as a cancer patient wanting to get some fake eyelashes as I'm losing mine, and Swedish Hospital Cancer Center had them on a recommended list. Not for long! I'm shocked by the terrible service and unknowledgeable staff gene juarez has. They do not know, nor can they even describe their services! (note: they have one central switchboard no matter which store you call). Managers didn't really care about incompetency of staff and the corporate manager I spoke to was defensive and RUDE to me. I suggest you boycott Gene Juarez if you want competent service because they can't even hire receptionists or managers two that offer any decent customer service. I spoke to 2 receptionists and TWO managers-- all receive poor grades in customer service. Gene would be shocked if he were around to see how LOW his company has sunk. I suggest you go somewhere else. I will!
