We worked with Shruti Balakrishnan, our designer, who was fantastic. Her sense of style and attention to detail were incredible. She listened to our preferences on colors and styles and nailed it when identifying furniture pieces that she thought we'd like. While taking in what we favored, she was also able to gently suggest things that were out of our comfort zone in a friendly, trust-worthy way, and we are pleased with everything she suggested. It was easy to communicate with her and she was prompt with follow-up. I highly recommend working with Shruti for her easy-to-get-along with manner and great sense of style.
The scheduling and delivery team were also great.

Where do I begin? This was the worst experience of my wife's and my life. We spent $16,000.00 and it took close to eight months to get our furniture. It finally arrived today!
It started the day after buying our furniture, when we received a phone call that we had been under-charged $125 for shipping (we had already paid $250 for shipping). I told our sales lady that that was honestly unacceptable after paying what we had the previous day. They ended up adjusting the sales price to make up for the extra shipping fee.
We had been told 3-4 months shipping for our furniture, and were hoping for a Thanksgiving delivery, or at the latest, Christmas. We were told that everything had to be shipped together to save on shipping for them, and to coordinate with the delivery company. We understood and were fine with this.
The ONLY communication from Ethan Allen was when WE would call to ask for updates. We were treated very poorly on the phone by our sales lady, and the manager Sara. When I told Sara at the end of December that ultimately it was Ethan Allen's fault for the delays, and blaming the the transport was not appropriate. She said "I know what my job is!"
Needless to say, we finally received an email in January that our furniture was on it's way from the East coast! Well....not quite. When it arrived in Portland, only 1/3 of our order was on board. We received a phone call asking if we still wanted only our bed delivered. I said yes, but asked how could only 1/3 of our order be on-board, when it had been clearly stated that everything MUST ship together. Again...excuses.
This has been an exasperating experience, and I would not recommend anyone shop at the Bellevue Ethan Allen. Once they have your money, the communication regarding your order stops, and you will be truly disappointed.
We were re-imbursed 10% off of our order, which helped, but was a pittance for the trouble this was.

Decided to buy a small couch for my den. Ethan Allen was at the top of my list.. Ethan Allen has a long history of providing well made furnishings and have great selection of materials for upholstery. Was very pleased with my choice.

This review is not a rant against Ethan Allen’s furniture rather a short sightedness of customer loyalty.4 years ago, my wife and moved to the PNW and purchased a couch, accent pillows, two recliners and an area rug that cost in the thousands.Since my father in law lived with us and there was a risk of spills and soiling we opted to put the rug in our closet until he passed away - we just put the rug down 3-4 months ago and there is very noticeable uneven wear on the rug. When I spoke with Ethan Allen’s Regional Manager he shared that the warranty only lasted one year and that the extra warranty we purchased only covered spills and such.I feel a company that has the reputation of quality such as Ethan Allen should stand behind their product given that the rug has only been in use for 3-4 months.Customer Loyalty is earned.It is now April 27, 2023. Still no response from Ethan Allen. Just another example as to where Ethan Allen places Customer Service and the value of customer loyalty4/28/2023Thank you for your offer and I will reach out to your provide contact. Just as a point of clarification, I told your regional manager Brad that yes we had the rug for nearly 4 years but only within the last 3-4 months did we put it down in our home. Thus in my mind, we didn’t get the 12 months of use that you warranty this rug for.5/8/23SHRUTI BALAKRISHNAN of the Bellevue Ethan Allen Interior Designer deserves a public showing of thanks. Shruti and I both sat down with one another, we both listened to each other, both had the spirit of finding a workable solution for both parties. I am happy to say that I am completely satisfied with the agreed upon resolution and we plan on working with Shruti with our next Ethan Allen purchase.

Had a great experience at Ethan Allen. Shruti was extremely helpful and knowledgeable in helping me to navigate my options. Her design services were very meticulous and she offered great suggestions for which configurations would work best to accommodate my specific needs. Would highly recommend.

Agree with another post. They absolutely do not care about customer satisfaction after the sale. Pre-sale they couldn't contact me enough, were very aggressive with phone calls, texts etc, but after an issue with sofas and sizing I couldn't get a call back. Left messages etc, but no response. I will be contacting the main office to see if I can get some resolution.

If you run into a problem with an item you purchase from them, they're absolutely horrible at addressing the situation. They don't seem to care about customer satisfaction after the sale. I had to call their main office on the East Coast and their service manager directly (he was great) to get any resolution.

All my prior interactions with Ethan Allen have been fantastic until this Spring - Fall. Their designer made a mistake measuring and selecting $20k of furniture for my home. The issue was discovered after I had made a deposit and the furniture was ordered. I spent hours on the phone trying to negotiate a credit since this was not my fault. It took 3 months and 4 escalations to district and company leadership until the Bellevue Square manager admitted their mistake. I won't buy from that store again.

This review is for the Portland Oregon (NW 23rd) location. Sales associates there are smug, and snooty. They did not make me feel welcomed. I went across the street to Pottery Barn and spent $6800.
