I used movement Mortgage - Brad Overlin, because my Real Estate agent recommended him. I had previously worked with Caliber Home Loans and my experience with them was excellent. First, I would like to state that it has taken me 7 months after closing my house to write this review, because I am quite sure that I am ready to write about my experience . As I wrote earlier , it was not my first experience closing on homes, but by far, this was the worst experience I have ever gone through. I had the worst experience with Brad's team, specifically his underwriter, who was extremely difficult to work with. I would have to email the same documents several times and each time, he would question each document. I owned the IRS 3k at the time of closing which I actually sent to them but the check had not processed, Brad's team made a huge deal on the closing date declining to transfer the money until they had another IRS W2 paperwork from my accountant. As I was getting ready to sign the closing paperwork, the bank informed me that Brad's team wanted me to contact my accountant right away to get the paperwork. I called my accountant who informed me that Brad's assistant Jessica, had contacted her and told her that I will be unable to close the house until she had emailed them my forms. Can anyone imagine this??? Over a payment of 3k ??? On the closing date, I received a call at 1030 am, from Brad's team informing me that I had to get to Lynnwood by 1200 pm to close, mind you this involved going to the bank to get the closing amount. I experienced several other issues that are too exhausting to write about. Anyone looking to buy a house, Please do your homework and be cautious of the company that you chose to work with.

Brad (and Christina) was extremely helpful in guiding us through the process and answering all our questions. He was communicative and professional through out the journey.

Brad and his team were invaluable to my home buying experience. He was responsive and never stopped working for us no matter the time or day. Brad put our needs first and helped us make the best decisions possible. We closed on time in less than 30 days. I am so grateful for him and his team !

We worked with Brad for the 2nd time on the purchase of our new build in TX back in April 2022. This time around we did not have a good experience with him. I didnt' give a 1-star rating because Brad did support us in getting some of our wants met. Communication was spotty throughout the 9 months process. 1. He failed to respond to emails from our builders about the closing appts. When I brought it up, he responded that he receives 100's of emails p/day. 2. Lack of communication with us about the status of the loan delayed closing by 3-4 days. I would strongly advise going with a local broker.

Avoid Brad at all costs. He promised a 30-day closing, knowing it was an impossibility. Ended up taking 40+ days. He cost our family more than $6k, unnecessarily. Totally unprofessional, disrespectful, and non-communicative.

Brad is my boss, mentor, and friend. Working on his team at Bellevue branch Movement Mortgage has proved to be one of the best decisions I’ve made. I’ve been on the customer side twice as he has done two of my personal mortgages. Always on top of it, savvy with all of the details, closes quickly (a condo purchase loan in two weeks from start to finish which helped us beat competing offers) and consistent and awesome communication always throughout the process.Working with him as a loan originator and as a client is as good as it gets.

Brad and his team went above and beyond to close our deal. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a grade A quality lender to seek out Brad and his team. If your willing to put in some ground work he will be able to get your deal done in a timely manner without to much headache. He made the process very easy and did a great deal of work above and beyond what would be considered reasonable. You wont be disappointed! Thanks Brad!! Scott.

Avoid him at all costs. He seems knowledgeable but that's how he gets you initially. Once you are on the hook he's unprofessional, disrespectful, non-communicative, and cocky.I worked with him on a 10% down payment (80/10/10) loan and he's late on appraisal and often ignored my calls. After a period of silence/non-response on the day of closing he finally answered my call and told me last minute that I needed to come up with 20% or lose the $100,000 non-refundable earning money. Because of him, I had to postpone closing date twice, liquidate my personal savings, and ended up paying off low interest loans (student, car) using high interest loan (2nd mortgage) to make the debt-to-income ratio work. Due to his dereliction of duty my finances are now in ruins.Make sure you check your debt-to-income ratio early on and do not TRUST his pre-approval letter; it's deceiving as that's how he gets you to start the process. In today's market you risk losing everything if you can't close. Here's a summary of all the issues I encountered:- My initial estimate (pre-approval) had no point or closing costs but after I closed his estimate changed to $15K (1 point). I told him I found a cheaper lender he told me not to waste his time and I shouldn't compare apples to oranges as no other lender could match his speed. He reminded me that I could lose my non-refundable deposit (he will continuously remind you that except he turned out to be the very person who almost lost my deposit with no response until last minute.- When I asked why the big closing close increase between the initial estimate and the one after closing, he said because the rates had gone up that much. He would send me 10-year T-Note to make the point and kept telling me "I told you so", "I mentioned it many times", "As previously mentioned" to make you look like an idiot. When I confronted him that the increase was actually more than the interest rate alone then he answer changed to "I don't really know why; it's the market"- Rather than doing his work and be on top of things in reality you will be dealing with his assistants most of the time as they would often know more than he does. His assistant told me even she had hard time getting a hold of him at times. At the end of the day he's a salesperson and once you are on the hook he leaves you to deal with his assistant and if anything were to go wrong, he would never apologize as it's ALWAYS your fault.

This review is LONG overdue. I found Movement after having to drop my previous lender due to unresponsiveness. When we started shopping around for a new lender, Movement caught my eye because of their claim to fame 7 day close- and us, not being the top tier home buyer and have to scrape together every dollar for our downpayment/ closing costs after saving for years... we needed any upper hand we could, and a 7 day close was the closest to "cash" we could get and try to compete with some of these cash buyers. I called and by chance got the number to Brad Overlin. We spoke a bit, he asked what we were looking for, I explained our credit wasn't the best and he helped give us tips on getting our credit up and what our options were if it stayed the same. He explained that since COVID and how everything is right now, they are more in a position to offer a 15 day close. Still better than 30-45 days! We took a few months to get some things off our credit and the next time I called back, he picked up the phone and said "Hi Adrianna!" Of course he saved my name and number, but he also ANSWERED! That pattern continued, anytime I had a question (yes I was a semi annoying first time homebuyer), he answered... and if he didn't, I usually got a text that said he'd call me back as soon as he was done with (insert task). Suuuuper communicative and helpful. After placing our first bid (in Washington State) and not being selected, shortly after, my job relocated me to San Diego... super grateful Brad and Movement was licensed to work in California! Brad worked well with my realtor and they were an amazing team that got our house closed in 15 days, which kept us competitive in this crazy SoCal Market! Thank you Brad!! Sorry this took so long!!

I would give Brad zero stars if I could. Avoid him at all costs. He promised a 30-day closing, knowing it was an impossibility. Ended up taking 40+ days, then turned around and blamed us. He cost our family more than $6k, unnecessarily. Totally unprofessional, disrespectful, and non-communicative.

Brad was fantastic throughout my mortgage process. We were in a tight situation for closing the mortgage. Brad and his team were able to move incredibly fast and got the mortgage ready, so that I could close on my house in short time. Highly recommend Brad!

Brad and his team were extremely diligent and responsive. Brad was able to clearly explain the entire lending process to us and stayed in constant communication every step of the way. Because of his (and his team's) diligence, we were able to close on our purchase (our first home!) in a timely manner. The real estate process can be stressful -- particularly for first time home buyers (like ourselves). Brad and his team went above and beyond to ensure that we had a smooth and seamless closing process. I highly, highly recommend Brad to prospective purchasers.
