I really appreciate BECU as a credit union. Most things can be handles same day at my convenience ( if I need a new debit card I can get one within a few minuets). Everyone is always very friendly and makes going to bank not feel like an errand I’m dreading.

Addendum to review posted 11/29/2021 about the Factoria Branch. The Federal Gov't would not accept the forms & returned them to me. As to BECU ee Haley Schaeing who bragged that she has been with BECU 11 years & refused to answer if she was familiar with this form-Walmart is hiring. I will have to drive to BECU main office to find someone who is familiar with Federal Forms. And please-manager, don't send me another I'm sorry email-it is worthless & for that matter so is BECU. In the mean time, I will be searching for a new bank.

BECU pretends to be a credit union, but they're just another dishonest bank. They use Cenlar, or loanadministration.com to service their hime loans, which is one the worst loan companies ever and have mounds of one star reviews on bbb.com. BECU's home loans are a joke, hugely customer unfriendly, and dishonest.I thought I was doing a good thing by using a credit union, but I was scammed. BECU is horrible, and the same or worse than the worst commercial banks.

I have been a member of BECU since I began work at Boeing in 1987. Initially they were absolutely fantastic. Their mortgage rates were less than the big banks, they paid better interest on deposit accounts, checking and most services were free, (ie cashiers checks) etc. Most importantly, their customer service was amazing. Unfortunately, over the past 10 years of so, they have morfed into an arrogant Bank of America, with crappy customer service. Because I am a Realtor, I have had to get documents notarized numerous times over the past year. Whether BECU will do this for you seems predicated on the mood of the rep that day. Twice recently, I was refused, and had to drive 2 blocks down the street to Wells Fargo, where they were happy to do it. Needless to say, Wells is now my first stop for Notary service. BECU touts "member owned". How come Wells and Umpqua consistently beat mortgage interest rates for home loans?? One would think if a CU is member owned, they would provide their "members" with better rates/fees than other banks charge their "customers".

Predatory auto loans. This is supposed to be a local credit union that is supposed to do better by their customers/community but instead they use predatory contracts for auto loans. Poor customer experience trying to resolve issues. Be careful banking with them. They do not have your best interest in mind.

I have been banking with BECU since I've been able to have a bank account and generally have enjoyed having their services, especially with them being a credit union and everything. I really appreciate their policies and how much they care about their customers in all regards. However, at this branch in particular, I didn't have the greatest experience with the mortgage officer. I'm a first time homebuyer so I am not super familiar with the process and was hoping he could be a resource for me and be understanding of my situation. Unfortunately, he seemed very disinterested in helping me get a mortgage loan and acted very condescending during my first discussion with him. I decided to not return and went somewhere else. I took my business somewhere else (with Chase) and the mortgage officer there was extremely helpful and made the process very simple and I was approved for a loan and closed within a month.

I'm not a BECU member but my brother is and after my experience there I most likely will be soon! I've never experienced great customer service at a bank before until we met TJ. After TJ helped me and my brother with the atm and explained the different BECU accounts and loans I felt so welcomed and comfortable. TJ was very knowledgeable and I felt educated about BECU's products and rates. He made the information easy to understand and very appealing, especially the cash back credit cards and home equity line of credit. I appreciated his honest opinion on what the best products to apply for are. BECU is lucky to have such a dedicated employee like TJ. BECU please take care of TJ. If you want an expert on all things banking along with a caring experience go see TJ in Factoria!!

I got here right when this branch opened and I've been waiting for 45 min to see someone now ....like what the heck do ppl do at the bank anymore , NEWS FLASH.... YOU CAN DO ALMOST ANYTHING ONLINE !!! the ONLY ppl that should be here are idiots like me that lost their card
