While hustling to the SLUT (that's South Lake Union Train/Transport you naughty-minded Yelpers!), I noticed this bright yellow trailer. It was filled to the brim with fresh yellowish-green, organic bananas. There were more bananas here than I see at my local CostCo! Amazon brings in this banana stand for not only its employees but also the local community and bypassers almost on the daily. I gotta say, I adore the bright colors because they bring a smile to my face--even on the gloomiest of Seattle days. The folks behind the counter are also pleasant and welcoming. There are dog treats and a water bowl for pups on their daily walk. Oh and did I say a bubble machine for the ambiance?! Be sure to toss your banana peel in one of the several nearby green compost bins. Oh and NOW GO BANANAS!

Never have a met people so enthusiastic about yellow fruit before. The banistas are some of the most cheerful people who work on any Amazon campus. They are part of the glue that brings Amazonians together, as well as liven up the general energy in the SLU.

FREE BANANAS! Basically, every day, there's free bananas available here for you to take. It's free and you can take as many you want. Just bring a bag!If you didn't know, bananas prevent Charlie horses! So eat your bananas daily!Plus, the banana stand people are super nice!

The idea is nice and who doesn't love free fruit? Strolled by the Banana Stand yesterday and the girl working there was so not nice. I don't need your free bananas. I'd rather pay for my banana from a nice person.

What's not to like about a free banana? I was visiting Seattle and walked past this stand. I was a offered a banana. I took a banana. I went on my way. After a long morning of traveling, it was just what I needed.

I don't work in Amazon and I still got one with my Amazon friend. Yeah, it's fresh and super cute stand but.....man why are the free perks for Amazon so bad?! That's all they get! Even my company has better perks and we're not even tech-related.So why all the five stars here? I guess to a non-Amazonian, it's a fantastic since they don't even ask you as it's shared with the community. You can just get your banana and leave (maybe take a few if you'd like). Even better, you can get your daily banana here and it would be fine. To Amazonians, I feel for you. Y'all deserve better with higher salaries at least comparable with the other tech giants.

The banana cart is back! Was walking around the Amazon buildings and ran into their banana stand :) free bananas galore once again and staff is friendly as always! Makes for a great breakfast/snack
