I have used my membership 2 times, and both times, the AAA dispatchers were very rude and unpleasant. I feel like AAA needs some serious changes soon in the dispatch department. Why in the world do you need a middle man between me and the provider that has no clue of what they are doing?makes zero sense. Both tow companies were friendly and had good communication, but some what of a wait both times. i give them 4 stars ?. I would give zero stars to AAA dispatchers if possible.

Big scam took my money all these years for a "Premiere" membership but refused to tow my vehicle based on about 4-5 separate excuses the first of which being it was too early in the morning when I requested a flatbed. Of course I canceled my membership only to log back in and see it was never cancelled. The service was atrocious and the people clearly just kept coming up with different excuses til they found one that stuck. Manager had the audacity to say "You're free to pay for a service to provide towing." (Isn't that what you are?) and "You've gotten your moneys worth." referring to lock out services I've used. On top of everything refused to allow me to file a formal complaint (likely because they were in the wrong). Save your money and just pay out of pocket. When it comes time to tow they will weasel out and there's nothing you can do.

AAA really came through for us on 1/12/2023. They were able get a flatbed dispatched quickly to two our Subaru into the shop. The customer service was excellent. The called back and texted four times before the two company arrived. So, we were always updated during the short wait. The tow driver from Trev’s towing great also. He was very friendly and super careful with our SUV. Thank you AAA and Trev’s Towing!

I have been a AAA member for over 20 years, and I have always faithfully felt that they would be there for me if I needed roadside assistance, and that made me feel happy and safe on the road. This last weekend, the battery died in my vehicle and I had such an abysmal, scary and frustrating experience, I have decided to cancel my membership. My battery died and would not hold a charge. I called AAA to have a service provider come and replace my battery. I provided very specific details to the associate, that I didn’t need a jump, I needed my battery replaced. He took down all the information and everything seemed to be on track for someone to come and replace my battery. The driver arrived with a very aggressive and intimidating demeanor, and didn’t greet us or say hello. The driver had completely blocked the only entrance of a very busy public driveway and there were cars lining up to exit the parking lot, so I asked him politely if he could move his vehicle. He completely ignored me and didn’t respond, and then got out his jumper cables and proceeded to jump start the car. Then another motorist came up and asked him if he would move his truck so people could leave and he ignored this person too. I tried to explain to him that I didn’t need a jump, I have jumper cables, but he barked at me aggressively “Start the car!”, so I did, I’m honestly not sure why I did and I wish I had continued to try to talk with him, but I was so caught off guard that I did as he said. Then he said, “Dead battery.” and started to pack up his stuff. I exited the vehicle and asked him if he could also replace the battery, that’s the entire reason I had called AAA. He ranted that they don’t do battery replacements, and I was utterly shocked at why he would answer this call from AAA if he could not provide the service request. And so the driver left. I was very upset, it’s fine if there was a miscommunication between him and AAA but he was so rude and aggressive I just felt utterly stunned. And this is where the story goes from bad to worse.I immediately called AAA, but I sat on hold for 25+ min. While I was on hold, apparently the tow truck driver has a direct line to AAA and he put out some sort of report on us! I later learned that he accused us of threatening him, which is absolutely and utterly ridiculous and completely false. I’m guessing as he left he suddenly realized that he hadn’t acted professionally, and was maybe worried about us reporting him, or maybe wanted to ensure he was paid or didn’t get in trouble for his actions? Then a message popped up on my phone, another supervisor left a voicemail - based on the tow truck driver’s call to them, they decided they would not help us and they would not provide any additional assistance - they just left a message for me that they would no longer help me. How could they abandon a 20+ year customer on the word of one tow truck driver before speaking with me directly to assess the situation? As a mother, I shudder at the thought of all the ways this could have gone wrong. What if instead of just being rude and aggressive and unprofessional, this tow truck driver was a bad actor. What if the caller had been a young person alone in a remote area, what if the driver had “reported” a fictitious “aggressive” encounter? Apparently this is all it takes for AAA to abandon you. AAA should have reached out to me until they connected voice to voice in order to ensure that I was ok and at a safe location and not in any danger before terminating my ability to have a service provider come and assist. This policy is absolutely unconscionable and unsafe. What good is a AAA membership if a problem arises, they won’t do their due diligence in connecting with all parties involved prior to making a decision. So be warned, if a AAA contracted service provider decides to turn on you for no apparent reason, you are completely at their mercy and AAA will abandon you, won’t do any due diligence on the situation and will make the call to leave you out there on your own.

My wife has had AAA coverage for years. Recently when her car needed to be towed from a local mechanic to the dealership for warranty repairs, AAA would not help with towing because the vehicle was not “on the side of the road”. The car could not be driven so it was stranded regardless of the exact location. AAA lost a customer because of this. Absolutely horrible customer service.

Hi,I'm writing with very unpleasant terrible experience I've had with triple A .On 07/17/23 approx. 0950hours I requested a tow for my green Jeep wrangler. Approx. 1016hours I received a text that it was received for service shortly after I received another text approx. 1107 that KINGS recovery will arrive 1337 hours, so I waited patiently as I took day off work. Approx 1320 I received call back from king's employee/ tow truck driver stated he was in traffic won't be at my location until 1530hours I'm getting more frustrated. At 1432 driver calls back states he will not be coming states triple AAA already knows I'm not coming. I was confused, let down disappointed n lost. I called triple waited on hold for approx. 35 min. dispatcher stated she was not notified about anything. Dispatcher said she will get me tow asap very apologetic, Approx 1614hours I received another text primary provider in area is unable complete this service. So, 2033 hours no tow I was told I will receive tow in the morning I am frustrated, upset tired being on hold for hrs. being pushed around to operator to operator how can this happen with such great company? This has displaced my family's time, and my time away from work. I would never wish this upon anyone I've never been treated this badly . I'm very reasonable person this incident has been very impactful to me

We have had AAA for many years and have always had good and prompt service. They always keep us informed and their policies clearly stated. I think only dissatisfied customers are bothering to post reviews so I will post a positive review in all fairness.

I had a terrible experience last night with AAA. I called for a jump for my RV. I talked to a person to let them know it was an RV. The person shows up unprepared and had no idea. I had to call back for another jump was put on hold and left for over 20 min. The tow NEVER showed up. 40 min later I just cancelled them. SUPER DISAPPOINTED ?!!

I been a member for 3 years out here in Washington state and before that when I was in California I was a joint member with my father. Never in all years have I ever had the poorest service up until april 1, 2023. I have never requested any tows within those 3 years of my premier membership so I was basically just paying AAA for free and the one day I need my suv towed home, I get 21 questions from the dispatcher only to find out from him that he deemed my is ineligible for a tow which I have multiple free tow’s that I never used from all those year but the dispatcher feels that I can drive it home to which I told him that I’m unable to drive and needed a tow. He cancelled my tow and told me that there’s nothing wrong with my car and that I don’t need that service. Worst AAA service totally not worth having to pay for that service out in Washington state since they’re not going to give good service. Its sad that this used to be good company. Also I ended up paying $300 for a tow truck. I feel like AAA has like some deal with outside tow trucks to up-sale prices on tow’s because I read multiple reviews from others who had the same experience. Shame on you AAA!

Waited 3 hours for a tow, and told it would be another 60-90 minutes. Cancelled the tow and ordered one on my own. Lakewood towing arrived 20 minutes later. What’s the point of having AAA if they can’t get to you in a reasonable amount of time?

I just hope if you have an out-of-state membership that you don’t find yourself in a situation where you need to rely on the AAA Washington group . I have been sitting in a parking lot for almost 2 hours now waiting for a tow truck only to find out that because my vehicle caught on fire and I need to take it to a site while the insurance can come and look at it they will not cover it. Because I’m from Arizona I don’t seem to be in priority. They just tell you call the tow truck company direct pay for it yourself and then file a claim with Arizona AAA. I am giving them one star because zero stars is not available.

My family has depended on AAA roadside assistance since I was a child--but that all changed last month. It was 1:00 am when in my Prius broke down in Victoria Washington. Since it wouldn't run, I couldn't put it in Neutral to move it off the road. So I went to AAA's website online and requested a tow. Fifteen minutes later the AAA dispatch called me and said there were no tow trucks available until 7am and to call back then. This shocked me bcse had never been told AAA couldn't help when I needed them. I told her l was on an unlit country road and stuck on the roadway and felt in danger, but she said she couldn't help and to call back at 7. By 3am my car flashers and headlights stopped working and I became convinced staying in my car was not safe, so I got out. My cell phone was getting low and I didn't know if it would last until 7 so I made my way back to a friend's house to charge it. By the time I got back to my car it was gone. I called AAA at 7 and they dispatched a truck. About 7:45 the truck arrived and figured out where my car was. So we went to that location and had to pay $650 to get it. The AAA tow truck operator told me that he and his boss were both on call with AAA all night and no one ever contacted them. When I requested a reimbursement I was told they wouldn't because I had left the car. But the dispatch never told me they would reimburse me if I I could find someone else to tow me, or that I could call 911 and the police would be able to help. She didn't explain anything at all and didn't care about my situation in the least.

AAA Washington recently canceled our 30 year membership with no other explanation than "usage inconsistent with purpose of AAA service."We have appealed the decision by letter, ( as is their policy ) and have heard nothing back.We are senior citizens and appreciate the peace of mind that AAA provided us. At the very least, we would appreciate a more detailed explanation of our cancellation.

*** was our emergency tow tonight. He was so amazing ! Most accommodating tow driver I have ever had. Not only did he arrive in 20 min (rather than the 2hr we thought we had to wait) but he literally turned my crappy night so much better. He was funny and really nice kind of made us feel a little better after being stuck with a flat. I hope I get him as a driver if heaven forbid it happened agian!
