@aaawashington cares more about policy than the safety of its members. I called to arrange a tow at 1:00am on the side of the freeway with no lights and with a sick baby. My uncle, who is sick with cancer, stayed with the vehicle, so my baby and I can get home safely. AAA directed the driver to not tow the vehicle since I wasn’t present with the vehicle at the time of the driver’s arrival despite me being on FaceTime with my ID and mentioning that I will be at the tow destination. To expect me to stay in the cold for 2 hours with a baby on a Freeway isn’t safe. My uncle was left stuck with the vehicle on the side of the Freeway at 3am and had to call around and find another tow company to come get him and the vehicle. My family and I will not be renewing our membership.

I was so thrown off by the lack of professionalism by the supervisor (Katrina/Kristina/something of that nature) ...its unfortunate but based on the reviews the last 6 months, Im not the only one to be treated terribly by her.
I talked to about 8 people in 2 days from this place & am indirectly a AAA member and needed to utilize towing for my partners hybrid car in Public Storage so it could get charged as it hadn't been in use for some time since he is overseas. Although they dispatched a tech to the place on a Sunday evening (that stores RVs, boats, & cars in a parking lot), he stated that since he couldn't resolve the issue, I could call again. My friend & I made plans to come out the next weekday morning to what we hoped to resolve the issue.
After we spoke with the reps & were provided a ticket & timeframe, we got a text on the time they were supposed to arrive saying they somehow couldnt. I had to call and got redirected to this supervisor as the rep said she may be able to grace it this one time. This person didnt even apologize once for inconveniencing me or my time & only seemed punitive focused saying she would be having conversations with all the staff's managers who I dealt with, who in turn, understood my frustration & their lack of follow through, more than this person did. She referred me to some other vendor in the area & stated that public storages weren't a credible place for them to do any towing services. I asked how come this policy came to be & why all the other staff didn't know & she didn't answer.
Since she stopped talking, I ended the call. Im glad I did first as it seems on all these other reviews that AAA likes to hang up on their customers first. It also seems by my experience and others, that they try to deny towing services in particular, & aren't transparent about why.
I called later to get support as I got the car out & it actually needed to be escalated to the dealership. She blackballed my account & had any rep ask her first & I was informed "it's the same breakdown" as the car was in storage first.
Its peculiar as everyone I talked to about this thinks this "policy" is absurd, this person is just miserable and has nothing better to do than just enforce policies that dont seem logical.
I would caution before anyone utilizes AAA of Washington & just call your own auto insurance first.

While trying to transport my 5th wheel, the rail on my hitch came loose so I called for roadside emergency assistance using my triple AAA premiere RV membership. I was told they could not find a driver and to call elsewhere to find someone to transport my rv and they would reemburse the out of pocket cost. It took me 3 days to find a private party to transport my fifth wheel and I applied for reembursement immediately. I received an email informing me that my application for reimbursement was denied. I have tried to use my premiere rv membership two other times in the past and was told the same thing. They could never fund a driver to transport my rv yet they advertise that this service is included in the membership. I paid in full for this premiere rv membership and was lied to and treated very disrespectfully by the clerk on the phone when I called to inquire about my reimbursement. DO NOT GET ANY MEMBERSHIP WITH TRIPLE AAA. THEY BROKE THE CONSUMER PROTECTION LAWS BY ADVERTISING A SERVICE THEY CANNOT PROVIDE AND BY SWINDLING MONEY FROM A DISABLED SENIOR WHO PAID EXTRA FOR PROTECTION THEY DID NOT PROVIDE OR TRY TO COMPENSATE FOR NOT PROVIDING IT. DEMAND A REFUND FOR THE COST OF YOUR MEMBERSHIP.

TLDR: Was hung up on by Jack.
I live in MT and pay for AAA plus which is supposed to come w 100miles of towing. I bought a vintage car in WA and paid my brother to drive it down to me, well it broke down just after the Snoqualmie pass. I decided hey, maybe AAA isn't completely useless (I haven't needed it 1 time ever since I've got it til now) and called because my brother was maybe 71 Miles away from his house. I guess I have to drive 12hrs to be there to Tow within the miles I pay for. I don't know if this is just policy or WA cause before I got AAA my friend was able to have my car door opened for me (without being there) when I had accidently locked the keys in. I called and obviously was frustrated, crying and now being told I can't use a service I pay for. In expressing the frustration I was hung up on (After waiting on hold for 20+minutes during my Graveyard shift to talk to someone.) Looks like based on other reviews this is a common occurrence. I called back, got Jack again and asked for the Manager. I got Charlie. He spoke quietly, and basically said they'd just listen to the call and have a chat with Jack. I used to work for a call center and I can tell you hanging up, even if the caller is hostile, is wholelly unacceptable and unprofessional. Your job is to answer calls for people in need of assistance, yes they're going to be upset and frustrated, if you can't handle it, don't be on the phones.
I got the impression nothing will actually be done about being hung up on and was ultimately told my service is useless because they aren't going to do anything for me. You'd think explaining the situation would've got something beyond Charlie telling me to hire a different towing service but guess not.
Save your money. They will leave you stranded on the road and hang up on you.

AAA near Redmond, WA. was the VERY WORST experience dealing with any company I have ever had! Before they HUNG UP on me, and WHILE I was stranded on the side of the road with my broke down car for half of a day, they (Fay, Ann, Kristina, and Erica) all accused me of lying and manufacturing a breakdown to get a tow truck. They continually cut me off in mid sentence and wouldn't listen to me at all. They also said that my Premium account is cancelled, money will be refunded. Then... the cell phone hang up! Get AAA.. at your peril! Ohh, and I am a disabled veteran whole served this great country for 22 years.

AAA made me wait for 3 hours for assistance. They did not apologize or care. This isn't the service I used to love and recommend.

Hit road debris and needed a tow since one of the tires was punctured and our vehicle came with no spare. We called at 11pm and were told the truck would arrive within 90 minutes. We called again to follow up at 1:30am, and were again told the truck would arrive within 90 minutes. I called again at 3:25am, and was told the truck had a few more appointments before heading to us, and that the estimated ETA was, again, 90 minutes. It appears that our tow truck will now finally arrive at 4:46am, for a total wait time of 5 hrs 45 min. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

All I needed was a 10 min tow home but they used a PREVIOUS, out of context statement to denie it.
I'm over 60, a VETERAN w a disability, living on a fixed income & my gf just had a TOTAL HIP REPLACEMENT!
I didn't need this much stress.🥺
Again, all I needed was a tow.🙄
This company is just out to make $, NOT truly help people..........................

Last week I managed to lock not one, but TWO sets of keys in my running car, trying to get it warm for my disabled passenger. I was panicked as we had an appointment. I called and my technician arrived in NINE MINUTES! Then it only took Mike I about two minutes to unlock my door. Thank you, Mike I. Btws all my other AAA experiences have been very very good in the past five years around the Seattle and Bellevue area. I just never posted anything. But this was an extra good one! We weren't late either ❤️ Thank you, AAA.

Our alternator failed and our truck was stuck on the side of the road. I called AAA the dispatcher was very nice and assured us we would have a truck within an hour. 45 minutes in our truck arrived and I had an alternator installed an hour later. Love AAA they are doing a great job.

I have used my membership 2 times, and both times, the AAA dispatchers were very rude and unpleasant. I feel like AAA needs some serious changes soon in the dispatch department. Why in the world do you need a middle man between me and the provider that has no clue of what they are doing?makes zero sense. Both tow companies were friendly and had good communication, but some what of a wait both times. i give them 4 stars ?. I would give zero stars to AAA dispatchers if possible.

Big scam took my money all these years for a "Premiere" membership but refused to tow my vehicle based on about 4-5 separate excuses the first of which being it was too early in the morning when I requested a flatbed. Of course I canceled my membership only to log back in and see it was never cancelled. The service was atrocious and the people clearly just kept coming up with different excuses til they found one that stuck. Manager had the audacity to say "You're free to pay for a service to provide towing." (Isn't that what you are?) and "You've gotten your moneys worth." referring to lock out services I've used. On top of everything refused to allow me to file a formal complaint (likely because they were in the wrong). Save your money and just pay out of pocket. When it comes time to tow they will weasel out and there's nothing you can do.
