“I was in desperate need of shoes while visiting Bainbridge. I have unusually-shaped feet which make finding shoes tricky and I tend to put it off as long as possible. Nancy was unbelievably helpful every step of the way. She was thorough and careful to get me accurate measurements and gave very knowledgeable recommendations. She absolutely went the extra mile. Not only did she find me the right shoes, due to the rain and the hour, she took the time to personally help us get to dinner accomodations. This store and the ladies who work there are all absolute gems.”

“I visited Tuesday May 14, shortly after the store opened. It was slightly busy. I was greeted and browsed for a while. Then I showed Tami the shoes I wanted. I have a wide foot with a high arch so I always take my time. In the time I was looking several people came in with various requests. Tami never lost her cool, she greeted everyone pleasantly, explained she was by herself, she helped every customer that day with a smile and understanding. I left with 2 pair of shoes that fit me well, I have worn both and I’m very pleased. I don’t think I would’ve purchased if she hadn’t taken the time to fit me perfectly. Kudos to Tami, she is an exceptional employee.”

Ferguson, the Master, knew exactly how to achieve the goals I was after and, using the white magic sci-fi pad, mapped my feet in impressive detail then proceeded to guide me through the selection process with very obvious expertise in the matter. An employee at this shop was so helpful in walking my neurodivergent kid through all his options, and answered his questions and also pointed out what was on sale. We found a great pair and he loves them, even calls them his lucky sandals. 100% will shop here for my kids footwear from now on.”

“Nice selection of items for the size of store. Bathrooms have always been clean. Employees are helpful and patient. Not all sale items ring up correct, the Yankee Candles are the worst. Take a picture of the sale tag, save time of having to walk back. I have not tried the Subway. If you like cheese, the cheese curds in the cold case by check out is worth the $”

“I made my first visit to Market Street Shoes yesterday, and I will absolutely be a repeat customer! I felt welcomed and attended to as soon as I walked in. I was surprised and excited to see that the shop also had a wonderfully curated clothing selection! I wear a US women’s 12-14; often, small shops like Market Street Shoes won’t have options for me. There ended up being plenty of colorful, fun garments for me to try on!When Kelsey saw I had my hands full of clothes, she was quick to start a dressing room while I kept browsing. After I’d been in the room for about 5-7 minutes, Danelle came over and asked how I was doing. I was trying on a dress that made me feel so beautiful. When I showed Danelle what I was trying on, she gave me a big smile and said, ‘I can tell you something looks great, but it really matters how you feel in it, and I can tell you feel really good. It looks made for you.’ When I was finished with clothes, a third shop attendant (who’s name I didn’t get, but she was wearing a wonderful 80s-inspired neon-punk jacket and awesome red triangle earrings) offered to keep the dress behind the counter while I kept shopping.Danelle continued to help me as I started to look at shoes. She was knowledgeable, kind, and gave me great options for the footwear needs I communicated with her! She also helped me figure out that, lo and behold, the reason I’ve been having foot pain is because I’ve been wearing the wrong shoe size! I have a wide toe box and have been compensating for that by sizing up at shoe stores. Danelle heat-widened a pair of adorable leather orange sandals for me. She was super quick when grabbing my size options from the back, and communicated with her team when the LAST pair of a shoe in my size was playing hard to get in the stockroom. It was great to see the team members supporting each other when the shop had a steady amount of traffic soon after opening!I ended up getting three new pairs of shoes. I started breaking in a pair yesterday, and my feet are already feeling so much happier! When checking out, Danelle made sure to get my basic info to start tracking by purchase history. She also let me know that after getting 12 full-price items, I get 25% off! After chatting with me at the counter while bagging my shoes and tissue-paper-wrapped dress, Danelle gave me a very warm farewell.I likely would’ve been a repeat customer because of the clothes and shoes, but I will DEFINITELY be returning because of the wonderful experience I had with Danelle and the rest of the Market Street Shoes staff.
