I was having a lot of difficulty getting into an exercise routine after the pandemic. Peloton never really did it for me. I realized that the thing I was missing was other people, so I went on the search for a gym or program to join. I stumbled across TFW. I was a bit nervous about the name and worried that it was actually CrossFit (it isn’t!), but I liked what I read about the supportive atmosphere and I have found that to be true. I started out never having done any formal strength or resistance training, so it has been a steep learning curve, but Travis and everyone I’ve worked with have been very patient with me. It has been easy for me to be consistent with my training in this environment because I know that I will always see someone I know when I walk in the door. Everyone is allowed to go at their own pace, which is really helpful, but it is also inspiring to watch others push themselves and it has helped me push myself as well. I’m amazed at how far I’ve come in the past 3 months and know that I wouldn’t be anywhere close to this if I was trying to learn to strength train at home by myself. I also would not be doing it correctly! Honestly, I have my fair share of social anxiety, but I have felt at home since the first day. I highly recommend giving TFW a try.

I started TFW as someone with a fairly active lifestyle, but without consistency and motivation. Therefore, my overall health (both physically and mentally) was declining. Through a friend's referral, I found my 'fitness fam' - TFW! Within a few short weeks of attending 3x/wk, my outlook in self-care and motivation to improve my progress has been a huge impact! The coaching tips are amazing and I've made significant improvements in strength and flexibility to apply in every-day activities. I always look forward to the next session! TFW is the gold-standard in genuinely caring for its members' health and well-being to last a life-time. I strongly encourage anyone 'on the fence' in joining TFW to at least give it a try. It could likely be the perfect fit for you too! I can't recommend them enough! Thank you Travis!! :)

I started with TFW in May after realizing I had accumulated 40 extra pounds through Covid. With my daughter getting married in october 2024 i decide to make a change. I didn't like the gym because there was little guidance. TFW and Travis in particular really help me approach exercise and strength training correctly, always focusing on form, always encouraging us and providing suggestions and assistance. I was very fit until menopause and Covid made everything topsy-turvy. Now I make time for myself, I have much better focus, I have more energy and clarity and I can already see improvement in what I can accomplish. Anyone thinking of starting a GREAT workout habit should check out Travis and TFW! Now, i want to know how to get the TFW-Bainbridge Island shirts so i can be a walking billboard!

I highly recommend TFW to anyone looking to make a positive change in their physical health and mental well being. I have attended the TFW for almost a year now and I have achieved significant improvements in muscle strength and overall health. The strength and agility exercises at the gym have helped alleviate joint pain in my body, especially my knee pain. I enjoy the structure of classes with the exercises and training changing every month. I also enjoy the comradeship of working out with other people who have the same goals of improving their physical and mental health. You don't compete with others at the gym, you just work to improve yourself. Other people at the gym are very supportive and it helps motivate me to go to the classes and achieve my own personal goals. Travis is a great coach and mentor and works with each person to help them reach their goals. I definitely recommend TFW to anyone who want to make a positive change in their life, mentally and physically, while building community at the same time.

I joined TFW Bainbridge a little over a year ago. My partner had been a member for 3 years at that time and I was impressed with her stories about the high quality of the coaching and the friendly group of people she worked out with three to four days a week. It sounded like a special program and she had made great headway in strength and overall fitness.I'm in my early sixties and have been an athlete and multi-discipline adventurer for my entire life. My fitness level was high when I started with TFW, but I needed to increase overall strength and work on core stability to support my diverse expectations. Mountaineering, backcountry skiing, resort skiing, backpacking, sea kayaking, mountain biking and bicycle touring are all examples of activities that can be punishing on the older body - for different reasons. In each of these I've experienced noticeable reductions in post-activity pain (steep trail and off-trail descents), increases in strength (lifting boats and heavy packs), reduced back strain (long days on the bike and in the kayak) and shorter early-season tuning-up time (better first days of ski season). Another important TFW-induced positive change has come in the form of injury avoidance. The increase in strength has, without a doubt, made me better equipped to deal with overuse challenges, the everyday twists and bumps as well as the occasional crashes that might otherwise cause serious injury.The cost of TFW is some of the very best money I spend in any given month, right up there with fresh, organic food! To someone considering a gym membership I simply cannot recommend TFW Bainbridge highly enough, whatever a person's level of fitness. Camaraderie, fun and health improvements await!

I am so thankful I found TFW. Travis approaches every training session positively and makes you not feel overwhelmed or intimated. He creates an environment that is welcoming to all ages and fitness levels. I wish I would have started at TFW earlier. I highly encourage you to join no matter what fitness level or goals you have - Travis is fantastic.

TFW has a fantastic gym, community, and trainers. The TFW community was very accepting of me even though I was 17. Andafter my first month of training with Travis as my coach, I have gotten back into shape, and I feel better than ever.

Great people - Great Program - Great ProgressWorking out has always been an important part of my life. But after baby 3 and a full life, I didn't think I'd be able to find a place or habit that I liked (and one that would become part of my life on a regular basis).I'm so glad I found TFW. From the initial evaluation with Travis, to the incredible group of people I get to spend an hour with many days a week, I can't imagine what the last 2 years would have been like without TFW.Yesterday I was training with a friend I hadn't partnered with in at least a year. He said to me, "it looks like your strength hasn't missed a beat" - incredible to hear after the last few, very weird years. I attribute my continued strength to TFW. I look forward to going each time (even when we have a monthly challenge that pushes me to my limits!).

My husband and I are thrilled to have become part of the Training For Warriors family! Travis and Sonnie are excellent coaches, creating fun and challenging workouts, sharing lifestyle ideas and insights and providing inspiration.I found the weight lifting machines in gyms boring, uncomfortable, intimidating and sometimes confusing because I wasn’t sure if I was using them correctly. With the TFW workouts we just show up and are coached in a variety of strength training and cardio enhancing exercises for our entire bodies.As a middle aged female and knowing how important weight-bearing exercise is to aging well, I am grateful to have found this beneficial group studio which promotes my well-being in a variety of ways including: increasing my muscle mass and bone density, maintaining a healthy weight, nurturing my mental health, goal setting, heart health, agility, balance and flexibility. I appreciate that good form is taught, emphasized and checked often to avoid injury and get the most out of my time spent.The group atmosphere is supportive and lighthearted which helps fuel me with motivation and camaraderie!We highly recommend you give it a try. It is money and time well spent because our health is an element that is so critical to enjoying a full and pleasurable life! Thank you, Travis and TFW family!

There’s no place like TFW Bainbridge!For three years Training For Warriors was my sanctuary, my safe haven, the place I built my schedule around. I love having a place that I can go to and everything is figured out for me. I didn’t have to plan a workout, recall what I did the days before or worry if I was working every muscle in my body correctly. Head trainer Travis had it all taken care of. I had been to several different gyms in several states and even after one year no one knew my name, but at TFW everyone you are in class with knows your name by the end of the day. The motivational stories that are told at the beginning of each class also set this dojo apart from the rest. Not only did I become stronger, more agile, and slimmer; I became part of the TFW familia.

The Bainbridge TFW is not only extremely welcoming but is also extremely profesional. The coaching is the absolute best whether you are looking to loose weight, get in shape for your sport or for an event or you just want to stay strong and flexible. It is a very non intimidating place where all the members are truly supportive of each other. Everyone is rooting for everyone and everyone is achieving results.

Travis and the TFW team are fantastic and the TFW training is AWESOME! I’ve been training with Travis, his team and the TFW system for close to six years now and I feel as strong and vibrant as I ever have. That’s saying something as I approach my 60th birthday. Working with Travis and the other supportive TFW community members has allowed me to continue pursuing my passions mt biking, hiking, backpacking and backcountry skiing at a very high level. Joining and becoming a member is the best investment I have made for myself.

TFW is a smaller gym that really focuses on each individual being the best that they can be. TFW is like a family - everyone cares for each other and supports one another's accomplishments. Even the small improvements are part of the celebration. TFW realizes exercise is not just about physical wellness but also about mental wellness - approaching health from a holistic perspective. And I really appreciate Travis's attention to detail - he makes sure that we use the proper techniques to not only make us stronger but also prevent injury. This is definitely the best gym experience I have every had. I highly recommend TFW.

I’ve never been one to embrace “the gym” experience so I was hesitant when I gave TFW Bainbridge a go more than three years ago. I look forward to each session and actually wish I could go more often. Travis has created a place to build strength that is about the body, but also about the heart and mind. We work as a team and laugh and inspire each other to be healthy and strong. I appreciate that the focus of TFW is on helping us do more outside the dojo - to improve our movements, habits, and attitudes in our every day lives. Travis and Sonnie are fantastic coaches who are with us every step of the way. I’m still not into “the gym” experience, but thankfully Travis’s TFW dojo is so much more.
