I really love shopping at Habitat for humanity stores- I've made many purchases and one time there was a small online mix up, and a manager named Carlos was super apologetic and totally made it worth it to us to come back and shop again! This was the Tukwila store but he sometimes works at Auburn too where I live and he's been very helpful as well! His customer service is his number one priority and he really cares about his customers being happy with their shopping experience. He's a keeper!

Whoa!! Some of the prices are absolutely outrageous!! Is this corporate greed or just a mistake?? I purchased a wooden stool here a few years ago for $9. There are two more, but they marked them at $89!! Seriously??

This negative review is only for the Auburn store, not for Habitat for Humanity in general. I have been an advocate, sponsor, and builder for HFH for over 20 years. I had such a disgusting interaction with the assistant manager Charlie I felt compelled to write this review. I arrived at the store with a 14 foot trailer and a pick up truck filled with household items, business items, and tools to donate to the Auburn Washington facility. Charlie comes out to my truck, and by the look on his face he was obviously having a bad day. He starts to pick through the tools in the truck and said “we only want the good stuff.” To which I said “well if I have to take some of this to Goodwill, I might as well take it all.” Charlie says “fine, we don’t want any of your stuff then if that’s the way you’re gonna be.” I then asked if he was having a bad day? That’s when he started attacking me verbally saying things like “people like you”. I then went in the store to complain about his demeanor. He then lit into me again with a negative and condescending verbal attack and I left the store. NEVER EVER GOING BACK!

I’m confused how habitat for humanity works. I thought it being a second hand store I could find affordable deals to find decent furnishings for my home. But instead I’ve found second handed items in decent to poor conditions that are overpriced. Is habitat for humanity just a play ground for rich people to refurbish furniture? What is the purpose of habitat for humanity ? Those prices are economically inhumane. I need more information because I went on the website and none of it explains why the prices are ridiculous.

I was planning on buying a book shelf for my wife already had one picked out she went to ask an employee for help getting it out of the pile when I seen an electric recliner with massager I decided to test it out as it was fair price and would love to have one after not even 1 full minute in the chair a different employee came up behind me unplugged the chair while I was testing it and walked away without saying anything very rude decided to take my business elsewhere

I've purchased items online only to be told later that the item was sold to someone else. It's always a really cool mid century piece. Do they not check if it sold online before it gets sold in store? Or is something else going on? It's only at this location too. Extremely disappointing. THREE times already!

My husband purchased a fridge from here that was 80% off. It was part of the black Friday sale and also had some minor damage. There were dents in the front door. It was ticketed for $399 and he paid $430 after tax. My husband paid for it and came back the next day to pick it up with receipt in hand. However when he returned the next day to pick it up they said he had to pay an additional $1600! They claimed there was a mistake made with the price but there was a sale tag with all the fridges info on the tag. They were extremely rude and disrespectful. Then acted like my husband did something wrong. Asking if he wanted his money back with a smurk on their faces like they thought it was amusing that we rented a truck to pick up the fridge that we bought but they refused to give us. They were totally unprofessional and extremely rude!

I've been here three times now. Inside is like a dimmly lit restaurant. Can't hardly look through stuff from lack of lighting. Tacoma is so much better.
