Getting gas is always really easy, typically I will just use my debit card, as I have social anxiety, the few times I’ve had issues with my card I make my way to the gas attendant, they’re always willing to help.

The employees here are always kind and helpful. One night my friends and I needed a jump down the road cause our battery died and the guy working came and gave us a jump after he was done closing. Definitely went above and beyond for us!

Since the "newer" nozzles were installed a while back I have been unable to get gas here. I am not strong enough to hold the nozzle tight enough to keep from gas overflowing. Most of my elderly friends are having the exact same issue so we go elsewhere. However, because I had a good amount of rewards I tried Safeway again. THAT is when my biggest frustration yet occurred. Whoever the clerk was, he was the meanest, rudest, most angry person I have ever encountered. I asked for his help pumping the gas. He actually yelled at me! He said he was in to damned much pain to help. After his refusal to help I asked if he was OK. His response, "Do I look like I am OK?!!"In the end, I attempted to pump the gas myself...lost some on the ground but was relieved to get out of there without his help and abuse. Apparently his hip hurts. I had recently gone thru hip replacement and can say, "yes, it hurts like hell. But if that is the best customer service you can offer, go home and yell at someone there. Just don't treat your dog like you treated me!"

My card would not go thru at the selected Pump, Had to back up to another Pump?It finally processed, Got my $.30 cents Off the Price.Not an Attended Pump station at 5:15 AM.

The Safeway Fuel Station in downtown Anacortes was very nice and is conveniently located on Commercial Ave just west of the Safeway store.

They're usually the cheapest in town with good pumps and friendly people working. Lately there is no reason to smile. The prices just keep going up!! The help is not as friendly and the new pumps they put in are the worst ever!! They won't stay running anymore!! You literally have to fight trying to get a tank of gas.

Dear Safeway store 593,Today at 9:45am my Wife ran into the store to pick up a few a couple of items, the coupon was not working at checkout, so an employee, her name was Patricia, told my wife "she was doing it wrong" and began scrolling through my Wife's phone with out her permission to "show her how to do it right".My Wife is a professional web developer and digital artist, she knows how to use an app. This was a minor glitch in a digital coupon, not a reason to berate and bully a her publicly.At this point we just wanted a refund for the coupon that didn't work, and to leave.This was followed by Patricia arguing with us about the refund, and not allowing my Wife to fill out a feedback form.This was in front of other team members and customers.It was rude, unprofessional, degrading and humiliating, not to mention an invasion of privacy when Patricia used my wife's phone without her permission.My wife and her family have been in Anacortes for 40+ years and experiences in your store have been mediocre at best, but this was beyond reason.This letter will be forwarded to store director Jason Ostrand, and will be a open letter on social media and review sites.

Nicest market in Anacortes! Produce and meat counter were excellent. Live in La Conner and usually drive all the way to Burlington. Anacortes is closer and this Safeway is super.
