We stayed in Cowichen cabin right in the water. It was newly renovated and seemed nice. There were small things here and there that had me confused. We used the pull out couch which did have linens but lacked pillows and a comforter. The lamp in that space doesn't turn off all the way which meant we had to unplug it each night. Kitchen was stocked with all you need to cook on the stove and oven which was great. As a visitor you have to remove your own garbage which was fine. I was surprise the amount of cobwebs left by housekeeping.Location is great, loved walking around the area, great view, quiet except for garbage and recycle trucks that come before 7 am on Wednesday morning. The additional services are nice, sauna, hot tub, there is limited time that you get to use them though. Staff was great, Jan took good care of us and thanks for the lamp in the sauna.Walkability: A beautiful 4 mile walk to the community center, roads are quiet and local drivers are very polite.

Had an awesome massage from Ellen there. 10/10 will be back. I was also surprised by the well stocked office and so close to the water.

We spent 4 days at the resort in the last week of June and thoroughly enjoyed the retreat. Very relaxed venue with beautiful views and a great safe environment for children. The resort staff are very accommodating. Joey the do it all resort guy was especially helpful and friendly. Will definitely come back.

We came as part of a group for a wedding the weekend before the 4th of July holiday and so the island ferry and traffic added to the stress, but once arrived all was blissful. Our assigned unit was extremely comfortable and enjoyable even without a real water view. The location for a destination wedding was magnificent.(SInce we were part of a group rental of the whole facility, I can't provide a full review; maybe if were just a guest, I might have bumped this up to 5 stars, but missing a scenic view from the living room or deck deducts 1/2 star.)Pure Pacific Northwest.

This is a wonderful place to escape from your daily routine and stress. We rented Samish cabin for two nights. It was clean and tidy and had everything we needed. Terrific view from the window too. Perfect accommodation, excellent location, friendly and efficient staff. We took a kayak and a rowing boat to get to (and around) Jack Island, walked the forest loop trail and spent much time on the beach. All in a day and a half. Great place and a way to reboot yourself.

Nice hidden gem. Put some tvs in the cabins and it would be perfect.

An incredible view of Mt. Baker, cozy and clean accommodations, and easy access to so many fun island activities made our stay fantastic. We chose the Lummi cabin, which was a unique and solidly built cabin right on the beach. We will definitely be back!

I am prefacing this review by saying we have stayed twice over the years, have loved our stays, the staff was kind and our cabin was comfortable and relaxing. This review is specifically for the owner of the resort, who we will never give another dime to.We booked the Salish house for a long weekend and planned on having our vow renewal ceremony at the PUBLIC park next door to the resort. We were going to invite family and friends to stay at the resort in their own cabins to make a whole family weekend out of it.When we talked to the parks department about using the park, they told us the owner of the resort would not allow us to use A PUBLIC PARK although events like this have been held there before by guests of the resort. The resort staff even told us to use the park (instead of their grounds) because we didn't have enough guests for the "rent a resort" option to hold it there on their property. When my husband called to talk to the owner about why he was blocking our use of the public park, the owner was extremely rude, saying that if he made an exception for us, he'd have to do it for everyone. Furthermore, anyone in our party would be charged a 10% gratuity, but why he could not say. He also demanded that my husband tell him which of his staff members told us we could use the park, to which my husband refused because he was afraid the staff member would be unfairly reprimanded for it.Overall, we are so upset that the owner is so unpleasant and unworthy of our business because we love the resort very much. We've cancelled our reservation and are looking for other options now. We don't usually write reviews but felt that others needed to know about our experience and to tread carefully with the owner. What an unfortunate experience that has very much tainted this place for us.

Beautiful, quiet, scenic, away from city life. My family are yearly visitors and have been for about 15 years. We stay in baker house and what a view!
