Read some good reviews about this place in regards to getting passports before we came. We asked questions, were given abrupt answers (ended up feeling somewhat stupid for asking). That’s what making an appointment is for, right? One on one conversation. Not everyone is up to date with the ever-changing government regulations and requirements so some patience and understanding would have been nice. So much for good reviews.

I don't know how this post office has any negative reviews. Every single staff member here is friendly and goes out of their way. When we first moved here we had to get $7k in money orders to pay movers, and Laura really calmed our nerves and welcomed us to Allyn. Laura regularly helped us with mail forwarding issues, and always smiles and knows our PO box by heart. If I had anything negative to say, I wish we weren't forced into a po box (I would like to be able to put a mailbox on my property) but I get that our roads are a little quirky and difficult.

Came in for a new passport and Addy helped me. Super fast, very efficient, knowledgeable and amazingly friendly! Laura is great too! Best post office experience I have ever had!

Went to Allyn for my two minor children's passport applications. The woman was very patient and kind, but she would not accept the photos I brought in, saying the faces were too small (I had measured at home and they were within application requirements). So, I paid her to take new photos. Fast forward three months and we are supposed to be leaving on a European vacation...only one passport arrived. After spending HOURS on the phone, so many sleepless nights, so much stress, I went to State Representative Derek Kilmer's office and Senator Patti Murray's offices for help. Thank God I did! A case manager from Derek Kilmer's office got through to the Seattle Passport Agency and was told that the application was rejected because the picture was blurry! We have TWO DAYS until we leave and they are (hopefully) going to squeeze me in to the Seattle office to submit a new picture. Which means my son will miss his last day of school and beach party (minor, but not to him). All this to say that SO MUCH was impacted by this mistake. We have 7 people in Europe whose plans also depend on us (accomodations, etc). Not to mention thousands of dollars and months of planning. Just know that small mistakes have a huge impact.

I went here the other day and Andres and one other lady were very nice! Andres and Laura helped us though. Laura was talking to my family and I in a very rude and condescending way. I would rate no stars if I could.

I went yesterday to get a passport and was helped by Laura who was very kind, considerate and knowledgeable. She answered all my questions and helped me to better understand the Application process.. If like me you had reservations about using this P.O. don't worry it is painless thanks to Laura.

If I could give negative stars I would. The woman working here ignored us and continued to help regular customers behind us in line when we had a SCHEDULED passport appointment. Then, to top it off, the passport photo of our baby was TERRIBLE, and was rejected by the department of state. This is a very bad thing when you have a trip planned, and drove 45 minutes with an infant to an professional facility that is supposed to be competent in taking passport photos. How pathetic, and inconvenient. I'm calling tomorrow to ask for a refund.

I agree worst post office ever my daughter-in-law has account there for the 28th and they forward her mail to her house already which charged her feet and she says they threw away Packaging. Has anybody else had problems like that.
