Have been stopping by Valley Mart for over a decade. Used to get “goodies” there occasionally, but have noticed that the food items purchased there taste like the heavy incense in the shop. Having asthma, it’s difficult to shop there. We are splitting our trips between the two local chain convenience stores.

Rude staff. Used to go there about ever other day. Don't go anymore. Glad the 7-11 only a few blocks away opened up. I see they were trying to rent out a room above the shop to someone. Can see why they need it. I wouldn't it normally smells kind of funky in there now. The old people who worked there Dave and Jung were so nice and kept a clean building but whoever new ownership is now is absolutely atrocious.

Went downhill fast. Looks like they jacked up prices to pay for their ghetto rich lifestyle. Just go down the street to the new convenience shop that opened. They don't rob you.

I've been taking my kids here after school since September so they can get a snack and a drink. Sometimes I grab something. I've bought things I'm needing to make that nights dinner meal or I bought a cell charger once. It's a bit more then going to a large store but it's easy and I like to support small business. My boys walk to the store sometimes and I meet them there. 2 weeks ago I wasn't feeling well so I stayed in the car and sent them in to get a snack with some cash, they are 14, not young kids, they said they were followed and told to buy something now or get out. Ok, not nice. Last week my kids went in and were waiting on me to come in and pay, I was 2 mins away, the gal working kicked them out. They told her I was coming in. She kicked them out. So I left and didn't buy anything. Today I was pulling up and the kids had been in there a few mins, they were talking to me when they went in and I was a few blocks up. They were deciding what they wanted and the man in there was following them around and telling them to decide and to hurry up. One kid met me at the car and got cash from me so they could hurry up and the other one was so stressed when he came out and said he never wanted to go back. I get that some people steal, but treating repeat customers like thieves and kicking us out doesn't really make me want to spend my money there. I've been in shopping with my boys several times a week but at least once a week for months. I know them well, they should know we aren't trying to steal. I tried to call several times to let someone know it's not very cool but it rings once then goes dead. Maybe they will read this.

Love this place, known the owners just about all my life. Very friendly, a little overpriced on some items but I expect that from a small town store for last minute needs or when you can't drive to the store. I live right around the corner so I love how convienent it is.
