Wanted to acknowledge the great customer service I received last Thursday, July 11th.
Both of your customer service folks, Kim and Paula did all they could to get me in and out of the repair center quickly and very satisfied with the repair needed on my mirror.

I was in a not-at-fault collision in August of 2023. Five Star was the preferred repair center for my insurance, so I agreed to use them. The initial estimate I received stated that the turnaround time for repairs was 30 days, which came and went. I followed up every few weeks to a month, and each time I was told a different reason why it was taking so long. First, it was the United Auto Worker's strike (which didn't begin until they'd had my car for 30 days), then it was because parts took so long to get for Hondas, then I was told that the repairs were all finished and it was just waiting to be painted and the paint shop was backed up, etc. Finally in January of 2024 I was told that they were still waiting on a part, and it was taking so long because the manufacturer wouldn't just make one part and we had to wait until they had enough for a bulk order. Then, they decided to send my vehicle to the local Honda Service Department to see if they could fix the part instead of replacing it. Honda had my car for a month or two, and then I was notified by my insurance that the claim had been paid out, so I called Five Star to verify. Out of all the times that I spoke to them, I initiated almost every contact. They didn't even call to tell me that my car was done after almost 8 months. A few days after picking my car up, we realized the A/C was blowing hot. Called Five Star and was told that "it was working when they sent it to Honda" but to go ahead and bring it in, and the Freon ended up being low and needing recharged. Then a few days later I realized my front license plate was missing. I called again and was told that none of the photos they had of the car had the license plate on, so they probably didn't even get it, but they'd look for it. I never received a call back, and I had to pay out of pocket for new plates. Then, a few weeks ago my check engine light came on stating there was an Emissions System error. Took it into a different Honda Service Dealer and it looks like Five Star either missed that a fuel valve was cracked/broken or broke it themselves during the repair process. Honda also told me that the hood is missing the insulator, and instead of ordering new hood/engine stickers from Honda, it looks like they just removed the ones from the old hood and used double-sided foam tape to attach to the new hood, which doesn't affect its drivability but really just shows the level of care and work ethic. I have since moved out of the area, and now have to work with my insurance to re-open the claim and have Honda fix it, and I will be without my vehicle, again, after not having it for almost 8 months, but still having to make vehicle and insurance payments the whole time. I absolutely do not recommend taking your vehicle to Five Star for repairs. They are obviously over-obligated and over-worked, and it shows in the level of care they will show you as a customer and your vehicle.

Waited 2 months to get vehicle in for repair, no biggy, they were busy. Took two weeks for repairs to be done ✔️Son picked it up and I took it back next day ! Tail light not working, back lift gate on Van interior panel not secured and rattle noise, like a rock in a tin can so something not secure.
15 days later after having to pay a visit at day 8, couldn’t get a return call from leaving a message , picked it up again,
Still rattles, back lift gate rubs when closing, but hey the tail light works, so 2 out if three.
WILL NOT BE TAKING IT BACK ! I will have insurance deal with it some how some way !

My insurance recommended 5 Star and I regret going through with it. Zero communication and lied to me about sending in the estimate to my insurance, which drug out the experience. Avoid at all cost.

Secretary service needs to greatly improve. If you don’t like working in customer service then get another job. There’s one who is always speaking with an attitude and seems quite forgetful. I called about making sure the appointments were all set up and double checked about an estimate and I was told i wouldn’t need a separate appointment for the estimate. The day of the appointment I get told otherwise, wasting my time and making me miss days of work. Also have heard from multiple people that this has also happened to them with the same woman.
On another note, the body shop does a great job!!

In the smaller town of Aberdeen, wa there aren't a lot of options. Had an insurance repair for a couple raccoons I encountered on the road. At first they did okay. Problem came to the billing. The insurance sent then a check in my name so I went in and took care of signing over. Then asked "what else do I owe?" A couple of workers looked around. The one guy asked Mike (the boss in the office) they said "no you're all paid" well few months later I get a notice.of collections. They've been rude and hung up on me since. Granted I'm in collections for funds I was told were paid and they legally can't discuss some thing. but theirs ways to still he professional. Hanging up and refusing to tell me the names of who I spoke too is sketchy.
**response to your response. Why did you say it was paid on full when you picked up?
Why was your secretary rude and hung up on me twice (I was not being out of hand in anyway. Calling to figure things out.
Never saw your call to sort anything out. Did you use a different number?
Continuing to not take responsibility for telling customers they are "paid in full sir" is what you told me. Even if you did call why would I bother, figure you're trying to sell me something.
Re-evaluate how you treat customers when speaking to them. On the phone and in responses online. You get to practice business like this because you're isolated in Aberdeen. Be better 5 Star. Or at least change your name to "we don't care auto repair" ?
