Pretty sure they just peddle antibiotics at this point. Would love to know how after spending $300 my dogs symptoms are worse. I initially went in for a lump on her side. They ignored it and said she had a uti. I never saw any signs of such a thing. I'm no doctor though so ok. Antibiotics killed her gut. Which made her itchy. Went back because of the lump again and her being itchy enough to lick her paw raw. Ignored the lump. Said she had a skin infection (b.s.) more antibiotics. Her symptoms are so bad now she can't even sleep. Maybe I should swing through for more Antibiotics. Oh, I got them to finally look at the lump. Was the cheapest part of my visits and they acted like I wouldn't want it because of the price. Maybe they didn't actually want to work instead of petting dogs, giving them cheese whiz (wtf?) And prescribing Antibiotics.

We absolutely love Dr Fietz but the administrative staff is just awful. Numerous issues since we started almost 3 years ago. Mistakes, careless omissions and carelessness. Each time we have given them another chance. We recently had to have one of our dogs euthanized and my husband went through the options for remains with the tech. He selected exactly the same box we had for the dog
we had lost 4 yrs earlier. When we pickedup the remains they were in a bag and my husband was upset. When he called the woman on the phone said well we didn’t charge you for the box so if you want one it will be $62. Never mind the trauma of putting the dog down or the trauma of carting around his ashes or the fact that YOU made the mistake in the first place. This goes along with inaccurate chart info, denied prescription based on said info, incorrect dosage of another med based on same info and failure to list our 9 yr old dog as a senior who should be seen every six months.
If you use this practice do your homework on vaccine schedules, preventative meds etc.

I was not very happy with this place. The prices are outrageous, the service isn’t what I was hoping for and to top it all of I was treated pretty rudely by a nurse for simply asking a question. I’ve heard bad things about this place and have now experienced it for myself. ??

So took my dog in for a lump on her throat. X-ray and consult...$400.
Pricey but okay. They set up an appointment for the next day at 7:15 am. I showed up and doors were locked. Turns out they don't open the doors til 7:30. I vent my frustration over the issue to which I get an apology and they have me take a seat. By 7:45 , after seeing everyone else attended to I decide to leave, telling them I will find a new vet.
Apparently my time has less value than theirs. Keep in mind, THEY made the appointment time, not me.
Frustrated in fluvanna

Dr Davis is an absolutely phenomenal vet. Her and her staff are extremely personable and make your loved one (pet) feel very cared for and loved while they are in their care.

Horrible office staff. Took my cat twice, paid over $600 and the cat is worse. Was not even allowed to talk to the vet after paying my bill. All they care about is money.

We've been clients for years and years with high maintenance dogs, and the vets and staff are beyond compare. Today's high praise is for Tina, Skylar and Dr. Zeni; keeping a senior hot mess terrier stocked with her pharmacology collection is no easy task and they all went above and beyond to assure we don't miss a dose!
Lots of places talk about caring and taking exceptional care of their clients/customers, but Crossroads lives it. Thank you, THANK YOU!

My dog had never been there. She was very sick and I was so worried about her. I called in the morning and they let us drop her off for the day. They were able to diagnose her without running a lot of unnecessary tests. Unfortunately it was very bad news. After taking some time to think about my options, I decided on euthanasia. They were able to help us later that afternoon, once we were able to come in and be with her. Everyone was so sweet and compassionate. They have a special room for these heartbreaking goodbyes. They gave us plenty of time to love on her and say goodbye. She died very peacefully in my lap, which was a blessing, even though losing a pet is SO HORRIBLE. Thank you Dr. Hansen and Stephanie... And everyone else.
