I always love going to rural king. They don't have them where I live so when we travel near one I like to stop in. I am disappointed that they have stopped carrying the Lincoln brand pants for work.

Went in store the other day purchased two Stihl chainsaws. Finding help was a challenge. My wife had to search for help. Finally the young man that assisted us was very helpful. Arrived the next day to purchase a Stihl vacuum blower. Again, wife had to search store for assistance. Clerk knew absolutely nothing about the product . Left store without a blower due to unsatisfactory help from employee. If you hire people, TRAIN them and make them VISABLE to customers. We should not have to walk the store looking for assistance!

Went this morning to the store and had to be checked out at the service desk by a lady named Yvonne she is by far the most unpleasant lady i have ever met. She was rude to the gentleman in front of us when he asked if his return transaction was completed. No need to be that nasty to someone asking a question. Then was our turn. She started to ring us up and all I said was I am a reward account member. You would have thought I was the most horrible person in the world. She in a very rude tone told me she would take that information at the end. I apologized and said I didn't know when the information was needed. She acted like we were such a bother to be there. Then there was 2 of us standing together and we both put the stuff on the counter together and she got half way through ringing it up and goes is all this yours??......well that would be why it was all laying together on the counter but I guess that is confusing. She was not at all nice or friendly. If I ever go back and she is running the only cash register again I'll just put my stuff back. Who needs to be around someone like that? Wytheville VA location

Going to Asheville NC to help with the communities affected by Hurricane Helene - needed a pallet of water to take along to disperse to people in need. Called this store 1-2hr prior to arriving to purchase a pallet of cases of water to make sure we would be able to buy - they told us yes!
Arrived at the store and was turned away by manager on duty for the night - we were not allowed to purchase a pallet to take to help the ones in need. Manager had very very poor attitude towards us.
Thank God for Food City in Wytheville for letting us purchase a pallet of water! We greatly appreciate Food City, and I am sure the people we are going to help would appreciate them too!
