In Labor Day my husband and I were traveling home from a holiday weekend with family from Charlotte to KY. Our car died on us while we were in the left lane and had to pull off the very busy I-77 in Wytheville VA on the median. AAA was called and a shortly the VA DOT service/safety truck stopped and kept us safe with hazard warnings for approaching drivers while awaiting the tow truck. (What a blessing - thank your VA)
Steve (tow truck driver) was exceptional! He took our car to Hendricks Auto in Wytheville where we dropped the car off. Of course everything was closed due to the holiday so we couldn’t get a rental car. Steve took us to the hotel I booked so that we wouldn’t be stranded.
He was very professional and very caring. That helped tremendously with reducing the stress that we could have experienced.

This is it! This is the place you call if you break down in their service area! Super responsive and familiar with the shops in the area. My son's car died outside of Fort Chiswell. They got to him within 30 minutes in the middle of the night. I asked to drop the car on a hill so we could roll it onto a dolly the next day. I can't thank you guys enough for the fantastic service. From dispatch to the truck.

R & C Towing and Heavy Hauling (Steven Carr was our technician) did a great job. We're so glad that our emergency roadside service connect to us with him. He was friendly, helpful and a total gentleman. I would recommend R & C Towing and Heavy Hauling every time.

A1 service,respectful and easy going staff I would highly recommend.my semi differential went out and called R and C they were at my location within an hr. The tow truck driver Jeffrey who was dispatched to me was super cool and easy going and made sure after I was towed I had a ride to a hotel afterwards

Broke down in our suburban with transmission problems at the dollar general in Speedwell VA. We were treated so great and professionally. Extremely kind folks around Wytheville area. Still working on the fix but feel better after these great folks!

I contacted AAA for a tire change and inflation. Stranded on the shoulder of I-81 in the dark with a blown-out tire, I felt relieved once Josh from R & C finally arrived.
To help the process along, I lowered the spare tire from underneath the van and had the wheel key ready for him to remove the lug nuts. He got right to it and provided swift and friendly service.
I mentioned to Josh that my spare hadn't been touched since I bought the van in 2018 and that I was concerned about low tire pressure. He said he could tell it was fine and that inflating it wasn't needed.
While wrapping up, I asked about the spare tire pressure again, letting him know I had a 14-hour drive ahead of me. He assured me again that it was okay. It wasn't.
Beyond the hassle of stopping again at night to inflate the spare, being sent off to drive on imbalanced tires is dangerous. The spare was off by 25 psi.
Trusting a professional to provide a complete service, only to end up finishing the job yourself, is disappointing.
I only knocked off 1 star because I understand that we all have "off nights," and Josh was very gracious during our interaction.
Edit: Josh lost one of my lug nuts. Knocking it down to 2 stars and I regret giving a tip :/

I know it’s a late response but I’m a trucker and in my 1st OTR trip I broke down in the middle of the night. When I say they came got me towed my truck, fixed my truck, and was nice enough to take me to the local hotel for the evening.
They provided crazy great service and I’m forever thankful.

Amanda and her husband were extremely helpful as they went out of their way to help as I tried to handle matters in connection with my family member's health predicament.
We came to pick up his car from South Carolina and arrived late after the office portion of the company was closed. We didn’t have to drive home to come back the next day or get a hotel for the night. They came back to the office after hours to take care of us.
Would highly recommend to anyone with towing needs!

I was towed last night and the service was excellent. Amanda did everything in her power to make sure we were taken care of ..... even on the next day. I hope to never breakdown again but if so I know who to call.

R and C towing helped me greatly! It didn’t take them no time to get my car back up the bank because it rolled down the bank. Josh was super nice and super helpful. I would recommend them to anyone! Thank you so much Josh for the help!
