They kept confusing my order told me it would arrive at a specific time and didn’t and then I had to pay more for my original order because they had put in a wrong order and it was different price. When I ordered it I asked them so many times if it was the right order and they said yes and the one they ordered was a complete different one. Bad customer service.

Unassuming from the outside, but once you've stepped foot inside of Tienda Vaquera, you're faced with a galore of western garments.I talked to Hector about buying a pair of full quill ostrich boots. Unfortunately, the Cuban Heel version is not stocked in the store, so I had to place a custom order.Hector helped me with the sizing, the customization. Double contrast stitching, 3rd grade vaquero heel (cuban heel), square toe, dark brown. At the end of the process, he said it would take 2 months for the boots to be made (in Mexico, and I assumed, hand made) and shipped up to Virginia. I took up his bundle deal of a belt and the boots for $600.Well, it took almost 3 months, which is a major disappointment on UPS' end, I don't put the blame onto the shop at all, regarding the current state of the economy. I've also had difficulties with UPS losing my packages, and delayed packages.The boots met my expectations to say the least, very supple leather, the patina work on them is beautiful, and the stitching on the shaft plays together very well with the color of the boots. The vaquero 3 heel isn't too tall, that makes it very comfortable, but probably isn't as comfortable as the standard heel. As I thought, choosing the double stitching was the right choice, it really is the cherry on top. The one thing I don't like about the construction is that they didn't use lemon wood pegs, instead metal pegs.The review I'm leaving behind is really only for the boots, and it's my experience with the shop. There really is a sense of charisma to it, reminds me of small mom and pop stores in Vietnam.Support your local businesses.
