I had my 2004 GMC truck recently serviced at Steve's Auto Repair recently for routine maintenance that was overdue along with having four new tires mounted and balanced. Steve's Auto recommended maintenance on a few additional items. I took advantage of that opportunity. The work was thorough, and I have the utmost confidence that my truck is in good shape and running well. I would recommend Steve's Auto Repair for quality service.

I dropped off my car at 8:20am for an oil change and the guy told me it would take 2-3 hours. But they finished at 3pm, almost taking 7 hours. The guy also told me I need to change the struts when I just changed them this year.

My wife's car needed quite a bit of work that required several parts being replaced that had to be ordered. I was informed that it would take a few days. I left it on Thursday and was told it would be probably not be done until Tuesday, (they're closed on the weekend.) It was done on the day promised. My only real small complaint was I called at 10:30 Tuesday morning to inquire if it was done and they told me yes, it was finished around closing time the previous day. They open at 7:00AM. They had 3 and a half hours to let me know before I had to call them. I still gave them 5 stars, they do good work. They're a busy shop but their customers are busy too; call them to let them know their vehicle is ready at the soonest opportunity, that's all.

I will start off with the positive! All staff is warm and welcoming, the customer service is top!
Now for the discouraging part of my experience. My last oil change for my truck we had to get it towed back 2 days later to not just a little bit of oil leaking out, but all of it. Further investigation they failed to screw the oil filter back in. We noticed that the oil sensor pressure had gone out at the same time of this issue on their part, I fail to believe that it was “just a coincidence” that it went out. I was told it would be an almost $900 fix. After today to do inspection, I got a call saying that it failed emissions due to 4 codes, I asked them to provide what the codes said and all I got was, “well it would be additional charge for us to run the diagnostic tests”. My husband expained what happened with the oil situation and all that was said “we did not break it”. Now I have 60 days to not only come up with the money for 3 things to be fixed before passing emissions, but it’s something that they are a fault for and won’t take ownership over. I will NEVER return to this place and no longer trust them with any of my vehicles!
