Called last minute for an appt and spoke to the owner Sonia who was able to squeeze me in the next morning which was a Saturday. Staff was great! Sonia finished me with a great blow dry and straightened my hair perfectly. I've never seen my hair so straight before. Will definitely return as service was A÷

Where do I start?!? I took my 11 year old daughter to get a blowout and flatiron. Ms. Sonia was nice when she greeted us. When we arrived @ 9am she had one person sitting under the dryer. She washed my daughters hair, put a treatment in and had her sit, which is perfectly fine. By 10am there were 5 clients… She started on my daughters hair again around 11:30 or a little after. She started to complain about how much hair my daughter has and how I should have let her know. I made her aware that I booked a week in advance and no one asked about the length of her hair. She said I must have spoken to a gentleman when I booked.I let her know that I booked directly with her! And she never asked about length!!!Every time someone asked her how long is the wait, she blamed my 11 year old daughter hair for her being behind. After the 2nd or 3rd time, I was annoyed and my daughter was uncomfortable. The problem was not my daughter’s hair. The problem was she overbooked her schedule. Also, she told me that she was going to stop doing my daughters hair to work on someone else’s, I told her NO! I’ll pay for what you’ve done so far and go somewhere else. She refused, and wanted to finish. My daughters hair lasted 5min. Because it was a rush job. $112 WASTED. If you have hair past your shoulders, go somewhere else. Total time 9am-12:45pm.Service: Blowouts

We had a nice experience at Sonia's Dominican Salon! My sister and I were pleased to get an appointment right away. Ms Sonia was incredibly flexible and helped us coordinate our visit with the neighboring eyebrow salon, ensuring a seamless experience. Ms. Sonia worked her magic on our hair. We left the salon happy with the results. Her dedication to providing excellent service made our visit truly special. We recommend Sonia's Dominican Salon for anyone seeking service.

I absolutely love how Sonia takes care of my hair. My hair is "funny" and most people don't know how to handle it. It is fine, but a lot of it so I usually end up getting it burned and damaged. Sonia knows what she is doing and can tell if I've been stressed just by looking at my hair. I won't see anyone else.

Sometimes there is a long wait since Sonia is running the shop by herself now, but she’s well worth the wait. I’ve come here for five years now and really sad that I’m leaving the state. Thanks for the years of incredible blow-outs Sonia. I wish you all the best!

This use to be the only place I would allow to touch my hair. For 3 years I wouldn’t dare to go anywhere else, I’d drive 30 minutes just for a blowout, until I had to go somewhere else and realized how much of a difference it was in comparison. I’m disappointed at what Sonia did to my hair in my last session. I came in for a blowout and left with a total mess. My sister asked me did I do my own hair and I had just got it done. It was that bad. Didn’t even last a day I just put it in a ponytail. Some comparisons:Payed $95 for a blowout other places charge $60TIME. Appointment was at 12, left at 5:30 FIVE hours to have the worst hair appointment of my life.I didn’t ask for a cut and she gave me layers. I’m SO BEYOND UPSET with the way my hair turned out I’m never going back.Services: Hairstyling

Came in for trim suggested I get a blow out. I have natural 3B curls which no longer exist after the blow out. Mind you this is my first time at this business and would be my last. Nice people but if you love your natural curls i don't recommend. Not sure if it's heat damage or a relaxer either way I'm so sad.
