1549 Old Bridge Rd Suite 108, WoodbridgeAs a husky owner it’s difficult to find a groomer that has patience and knows how to handle huskies. Took my baby to get groomed and it was 10/10! Full grooming, bath, nails and deshedding and he came out looking amazing and happy. Hes a typical husky that doesn't like water or getting his nails cut but they were able to do everything. I recommend them for others fellow husky owners :)

I immediately knew without a doubt that Dr. Shackelford was going to be our vet going forward. She has been with us through the loss of two of our dogs due to age and even sat with us on the floor, crying and comforting us when we lost one of our beloved hounds. We have moved out of the Woodbridge area but that hasn't stopped us from making the drive so that our pups get the best care and attention not only from Dr. Shackelford but from the rest of the incredible staff at this location.We always feel like we have her undivided attention, she listens to our concerns, answers our questions and gives us her honest advice and opinions. When we have needed referrals she has provided great recommendations. We would follow her anywhere in the DMV if it meant we were able to ensure our dogs were able to receive their care from her.

He lives close to office!
Was always available at any hour for any emergency! He took my dog, Daisy, on an emergency on a pouring down rainy Sunday night when she was throwing up blood and had blood diarrhea. Said for me to meet him there within 30 minutes. Charged me only $200 where a 24/7 hospital would have been 3x’s more just for the exam to find out what was wrong. He ended up doing exploratory surgery on her and IV’s and meds. She stayed 3-5 days with him. He fixed her, praise God. He had examined her at an earlier date when she was preggo. Told me get ready - told me what to do. Xrayed her belly to see how many puppies. 2 days later, she delivered at home. He wanted to exam all the babies. He did that with no charge.
My rabbit. He saved its life when it was lifeless. He did IV and fresh kale for a week. Said “no charge!”
He always matched Petco’s /Petsmart shot clinic prices with the ad and their price list.
Love that he does all the work himself with no employees.
Never rushes customers.
He always did my boarding on a moments notice! I sent my friend Joey to him bc we traveled with work and his Rocko needed boarding. I sent another friend on a Sunday when their pitbull’s leg got caught in a jaw trap in the woods and was hugely infected bc they neglected it. I sent 2 family members there to euthanize their cat and another, a dog, on a moments notice. He spayed My female corgi, Angel, immediately upon a phone call when she had gotton raped by a huge lab.
He Always did no charge mail clipping with other services. He loves his job and it shows! He is not always about the money. He truly cares and knows what he is doing! What a wonderful person and doctor!
I highly recommend him and will be going back, now that I am in the area again.

As far as Veterinary care, it's great, but seems a bit expensive to me compared to some other places. I toured the boarding facility today and I will just say I highly recommend taking a tour of ANY boarding facility prior to leaving your dog overnight. While the employee who gave the tour could not have been more friendly and knowledgeable, this is not a place I would board my dog based on the look and feel of the boarding facilities. It was not bright, cheery, happy, or fun looking whatsoever. The opposite.

Unfortunately the puppy is a very high-energy breed. Carla is clearly both brave and caring. She went for many lessons to train the people (more dad, who think dogs should be spoiled) and the dog. Angie met with me one on one where she answered all my questions and explained next steps/future lessons. After my three other one on one sessions, Angie truly cared about my dog. She was responsive, attentive to her behaviors and supportive of me, both in class and via text. Needless to say, I have a well mannered dog now that enjoys learning more in dog class. They also have options from cones to bowls. The area itself is very cute and they have moose items everywhere! While the ice cream is a bit expensive, it was good. The staff was also incredibly friendly. And, be kind! Some of the staff was new and still learning the ropes :)
They have tons of seating outside and even inside as well.
