SEE BELOW EDITWe've taken both cars here and our experience with both has been negative. A synthetic oil change starts at $120 and they will try to upsell you during their 27-point inspection. They quoted me $54 to replace my cabin air filter, which was replaced less than 5K miles ago - egregious given the filter itself retails for $18 and the pictures they sent me showed it was still clean. They also didn't bother to lay paper/plastic down on the passenger seat while getting to the cabin air filter, resulting in gray smears across the seat. We were willing to pay the extra for a local mechanic but we won't be returning here.EDIT: I was contacted a couple days after posting this review from the Manager. He apologized, validated my concerns, and offered to not only clean the seat, but detail the entire car. I appreciate the customer service and had no issues with bringing my car back for this service - in fact, they had the car cleaned and ready within a few hours. The seat is now spotless and the interior overall looks great, except for the new streaks across the windshield. I've updated my initial 1 star review for the customer service, but I now need to buy a microfiber towel - can't help but laugh I guess.

My daughter and I both took our vehicles in for simple service on different days. This was oil change and complimentary tire rotation. We both got the same report. Need cabin air filters changed. Need brakes flushed. Low on antifreeze. Here is the deal. Our in-cabin filters were just changed less than a month from service. Our antifreeze was close to the full line when we dropped the vehicles off but when we picked them up, they were almost empty. Our brakes are fine. They rdidnt rotate my tires and didn't even tell me...I only knew because I looked at my tire pressure and same tires were in same place. They admitted once I challenged them. So is this a scam? By the way Our vehicles only have 20,000 miles and are not heavily used.....Please check your fluids before you go in... I will record next time and if they are draining my fluids on purpose, to make a buck...there will be issues. And don't fall for the free tire rotation bit...Been going to this location for a long time. Disappointed that service is going downhill with scams and unnecessary expense recommendations.Service: Oil change

Took my car on 10/28 for a simple oil change and state safety inspection. Noticed last night my oil shield was hanging and missing bolts along with both my wiper blades torn. Guess they were too embarrassed to tell me they tore them or the car wouldn’t have passed. Sucks because this was my go to garage for service. Vehicle was a 2020 Hyundai Tucson.

June of 2023 I took my jeep to Lake Ridge Auto to fix my ABS module. The day i checked my jeep into the shop I told the young lady the reason for my appointment.I got a call a few hours later informing me that i have to replace my cylinder intake camshaft, rockers and lifters, plus my oxygen sensors on top of removing and replacing my ABS module system. I asked how much will that cost me, when I heard the price I wanted to cry and sell my jeep. But I'm a jeeper and I couldn't get rid of my jeep. I had recently moved Virginia a week before, and I had to get other work done on my jeep to past the state and emission test. I had to pay over $3000 to get the work done. I was told they had to order the parts, and my jeep would be in the shop for a few days. I was a bit disappointed busy it was my only means of getting around this new area. But I understood it's the only way because I needed it fixed.I got a phone call two day later telling me I can pick my jeep up. I was very surprised but excited. I asked if they got all the parts in and if everything was fixed. I was told yes. So I went ahead and paid for the job on my credit card, got my keys and jumped into my jeep and drove off a happy woman. When I got home I decided to take a look at the module, that's when i noticed that the shop damaged my hood lock and they didn't tell me about it. I got very disappointed that something so simple they tried to hide from me hoping I wouldn't notice. I called them and they apologized and took care of it. Few days later the engine light came on, I called the shop they told me to bring it in. When I got to the shop they wanted to charge me for another diagnostic test. I told them my jeep was just in their shop a few days ago. I told them spent all this money to fixed it and this shouldn't be happening right now. In the end they didn't charged me for the test . After the test I was told the engine light wasn't on, I said it was when I brought it in. Then i get to find out that all the parts i paid for on the previous visit they never got all the parts and only some of the parts was in my jeep. I told them I previously paid for all the parts and I'm not paying a single penny for anymore parts that wasn't in and they need to take care of it. I told them to have the manager give me a call. The manager called me later that day and explained to me what I paid for was on the receipt and on the receipt it showing some parts were missing(this is a digital live receipt that they can change anytime). I told him when I picked up my jeep I asked them if they received all my parts and if everything was taken of and they told me yes. I also spoke to the mechanic who worked on my jeep and asked him how long do I have to fixed the other side, and he told me only when I start seeing the signs like i had previously. The manager apologized to me for the misunderstanding and came to an agreement with me. I would pay for the remaining parts he would waive the labor, which paying for the parts were cheaper the labor. You might be wondering why I give 4 stars after all this headache. I am a fair person and that's why I give 4 stars. They apologized for their miscommunication and figure it out with me(thanks to the manager). I took a star away because of the dishonesty. But no matter where you go most mechanics are dishonest. Will I go back to this shop, yes I will. And I will continue to write my reviews fairly.I would say beside the dishonesty they do get the job done fast, the waiting room is clean and they supply coffee for their customers. We as customers must now do our own research on pricing for car parts and know how long the job will take, asked ahead of time the labor cost. It's our job to pay attention to our final receipt and our vehicle for the next few days for any changes after getting our vehicles from the shop. Mechanic are always going to be dishonest, we can't control that. But finding a decent shop that gets the job done and can admit when they have made a mista

Super fast, super friendly, and didn’t break the bank. Loved the convenience of being able to drop my car off the night before and also I think it’s kinda fun they they have a coffee shop vibe - I’ve never seen that in an auto shop before. ? The last couple of times there have been some oversights, but the manager tried to make it right. We will continue using them for service.

I was about to bring my car here for service but the bold headed guy working behind the counter that closed on Tuesday 10/3/23 was quite rude and aggressive, irritated when I asked why I had to pay a s diagnostic fee of $125 although am asking to have my wheel barring changed. He would not give me a ball park pricing . He’s a complete jerk & a turn off to your business- he will turn away many customers! Believe me the aggressive demeanor was unacceptable- best of luck

STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Had issues with misfiring two months ago and went to Lake Ridge Auto Care for a diagnostic. They replaced my spark plugs and told me I had an issue with the coolant reservoir and housing assembly. Came back a month later after noticing coolant leaking from my car, they replaced my housing assembly originally quoting me for 1300 dollars! As they were changing the hoses to my coolant reservoir, they told me I had a medium sized hole in my radiator and it need to be replaced. Quoting me for 1900 dollars! I declined the jobs and took it to Lake Ridge Automotive and they pressurized my system and told me I didn't have any leaks and there was nothing wrong with my radiator! However, the other shop I took it to told me that my thermostat had never been replaced/ or taken out? (Who knows really)... the math on the receipts from lake ridge auto care never adds up and they charge 173 dollars an hour for labor! I will never come back to this place, they are greedy and don't care about your vehicle! They only care about making a profit. I've been a Woodbridge resident for over 15 years and I'll be sure to tell everyone I know about their awful services.

Absolutely, hands down the best! My car was leaking brake fluid. We had taken it to another location who said it was fine. Lake Ridge Auto Care diagnosed the problem and got it handled in less time than they said. They were flexible, accommodating and just all around good people. Their follow-up was spot on! Great experience for me and my sister! We'll be back!Service: Brakes

I had a few communication issues early on but after we figured everything out it went as well as it could. My vehicle had an unexpected challenge, but after talking it thru I’m satisfied with the outcome & VERY satisfied with the work done on my truck. I'm happy to have it back & Kudos to Doug, excellent mechanic….Services: Exhaust

I'm very disappointed with Lake Ridge Auto today. Was told my front rotors and pads were rusted and my exhaust sysyem was rusted as well and would not pass inspection and would need to be replaced. I replace the rotors myself and pads less than 2 years ago. It was just surface rust on the rotors because the truck hadn't been driven for awhile. The rest of the work they performed were not an issue. I left and took my truck down the road to the next service station and my vehicle passed the safety and emmisions test with flying color. Np problems. I knew before hand it would pass. This effects my trust in them. Very very disappointed with Lake Ridge Auto. Hopefully they can do better.

They have been very respectful and professional for the past 4 years that I've been using them to service both my cars. They do a good job and I never had an issue with the quality of work done.

Amazing service! The team here at Lake Ridge Auto Care is nothing short of great customer service. I had an immediate issue with my car's air bag and took it there not knowing I needed an appointment but they were able to squeeze me in. I took my car there in the morning and the team ordered the part and fixed the issue the same day! The communication throughout the process was great especially Kevin at the front desk, who truly showed concern and made sure he understood my sense of urgency. Thank you all! I will be back.Service: Electrical repair
