I had a great experience at this dealership from the time I completed an online inquiry and received a call from Lucia to confirm an appt day and time to the time of my arrival there and meeting, my salesman Rod. He was very down to earth and kept his word about getting the payment that I wanted. He was quite comical, too, which added a sense of humor to the usual stressful experience of buying a vehicle. The manager, Lyndon, was also great and worked hard to get the numbers in my favor. It helped that I did the research beforehand on the exact vehicle I wanted, and once I confirmed that it was still available in their inventory, I proceeded the same day. My only suggestion is not to schedule an appt at 6:00pm on a Saturday because they technically close at 8pm and the finance office part of it felt too rushed at the end but I still took my time and read through the documents carefully before signing them. When I found discrepancies that were not discussed prior, I brought it to their attention and Rod and Lyndon jumped right on it and got the issue resolved. I was out of there by 9:30pm or so and on my way in my 2021 Toyota Venza which I absolutely love! ❤️

I would give this place zeros stars if i could. Do not bother, go to CARMAX where there’s up front pricing because they are “typical used car salesmen” without a single atom of integrity and once they made a sale, you no longer exist to them. This place seriously oversold the car i purchased, it really is a SCAM. I would have ran out the door, but they hit my credit MULTIPLE TIMES making it impossible for me to go anywhere else for a while if i had changed my mind. (So you feel like you have to buy the car there and if you’re a woman-they are even more typical)
Example: Say you get approved for $30,000 for a car loan, the car now costs $30,000 even though you may not want to spend that much for the sake of monthly payments. And every car you look at will cost $30,000 because word spreads like wildfire!! Whereas CARMAX has the price already listed and you get approved for THAT amount, so it doesn’t max you out. If they can’t/won’t tell you the price of the car BEFORE they see how much you’re approved for, DO NOT BUY THE CAR!
Now i have to figure out how to move past this. In the meantime, i PRAY everyone involved with the sale of my car suffers more horribly than they ever have in life. I really truly, honestly hope this place burns to the ground with nothing salvageable, they are not human here. And even though it doesn’t matter, I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS PLACE.
RESPONSE TO DEALER:
I have the correct location. I was there 04/30/2024 until closing. As to why you can’t locate me in your system, i’m going to chop it up as more of the ways that you all are heavily flawed. I’m stuck with the 2020 Silver Chevy Blazer.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME RESPONDING TO KOONS AUTOMOTIVE IN WOODBRIDGE REGARDING THE CASH/PRIZE GIVEAWAY-IT'S A BIG SCAM! ANYONE WHO RECEIVED THIS CASH/LOTTERY LETTER PRETTY MUCH GOT SCAMMED AND SHOULD COME TOGETHER FOR A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT.
WE WENT TO KOONS TO CLAIM THE PRIZE, AND AS SOON AS YOU ARRIVE AT THEIR PARKING LOT, THEY ARE WAITING FOR YOU OUTSIDE LIKE VULTURES. THE REP KNEW EXACTLY WHY I WAS THERE TO CLAIM THE CASH PRIZE AND KEPT ASKING ME ABOUT BUYING A CAR. AFTER THE REP REALIZED THAT THEY WERE LOSING GROUND WITH ME AS FAR AS PURCHASING A CAR, THEN THE REP SAID COME INTO THE DEALERSHIP TO CLAIM YOUR PRIZE. THE REP STARTED FILLING OUT A REGISTRATION FORM ASKING ME PERSONAL QUESTIONS LIKE, HOW MUCH IS YOUR MORTGAGE? HOW OLD IS YOUR CAR? HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE LIVING IN THE HOME? WHY DO YOU NEED TO KNOW THAT INFORMATION TO GIVE ME THE $3,000 THAT I SUPPOSEDLY WON?? WHY KOONS?? WHY ALL THE TRICKS! YOU KNOW THE ECONOMY IS NOT THAT GREAT AND PEOPLE NEED MONEY, SO THIS IS HOW YOU LURE PEOPLE IN. DISGUSTING!! I IMMEDIATELY RECOGNIZED THE GAME AND TOLD THE REP THAT I’M NOT BUYING A CAR—I’M NOT STUPID. THAT WAS A PRE-SCREEN FOR A CAR. AFTER THE REP SAW THAT I WAS ON TO THEIR TRICKS, THE REP FINALLY TOOK ME TO A BOARD ON THE WALL AND SAID WE HAVE TO MATCH YOUR NUMBERS TO SOME NUMBERS ON THE BOARD. I THOUGHT TO MYSELF….ANOTHER GIMMICK! OF COURSE THEIR LITTLE BOARD SAID I WON A DOLLAR-THAT’S HOW THEY JUSTIFY THAT I WON SOMETHING. I’M SURE MOST OF THE MATCHUPS ON THE BOARD ALL SAY ONE DOLLAR, MAYBE A FEW FIVE DOLLAR ONES. ALL IN ALL, THEY ARE TRUE SCAMMERS AND I WAS TOLD THIS BY A FEW PEOPLE. I KNOW ONE FORMER EMPLOYEE WHO WORKED THERE AT LEAST SIX YEARS AGO WARNED ME ABOUT THEM . SO I SEE THEY ARE STILL AT IT, FOOLING AROUND WITH FOLKS LIVELIHOOD. I WAS TOLD TO NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH KOONS AUTOMOTIVE IN WOODBRIDGE AND ALWAYS KEPT THAT IN THE BACK OF MY HEAD.
LISTEN UP KOONS: I KNEW THIS WAS A SCAM AND I ONLY STOPPED BY BECAUSE I LIVE DOWN THE STREET AND I DIDN’T ALLOW YOU TO WASTE NO MORE THAN 10 MINUTES OF MY TIME—IF THAT!
I DON’T KNOW WHO THE CEO IS, BUT SHAME ON HIM TO ALLOW THIS TYPE OF MISCONDUCT -YOU ALREADY HAD A BAD NAME, NOW IT’S WORSE. WHO DO YOU THINK IS GOING TO TRUST YOU WHEN YOU KEEP PULLING THESE SHENANIGANS OVER AND OVER! YOU GUYS DON’T CARE WHO YOU’RE MISTREATING & MISLEADING—WHETHER IT’S AN OLD PERSON, UNDERPRIVILEGED PERSON, HANDICAP PERSON-YOU COULD CARE LESS , AS LONG AS YOU ARE ACCOMPLISHING YOUR AGENDA (MEETING YOUR GOALS) AND PUSHING THOSE CARS OUT. WHAT ELSE CAN I SAY OTHER THAN, YOU PEOPLE ARE JUST TERRIBLE-NO CONSCIOUS , NO MORALS, NO NOTHING!
BY THE WAY KOONS, DON’T EVEN BOTHER ABOUT FOLLOWING UP TO THIS EMAIL WITH YOUR LITTLE SCRIPTED RESPONSE, BECAUSE YOU OBLIVIOUSLY DON’T CARE WHEN YOU KEEP COMING UP WITH NEW TRICKS.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME responding to Koons Automotive in Woodbridge regarding the cash/prize giveaway-it’s a BIG SCAM! Anyone who received this cash/lottery letter pretty much got scammed and should come together for a class action lawsuit.
We went to KOONS to claim the prize, and as soon as you arrive to their parking lot, they are waiting for you outside like vultures. How many people living in the home? Why do you need to know that information to give me the $3,000 that I supposedly won?? Why KOONS?? Why all the tricks! You know the economy is not that great and people need money, so this is how you lure people in. Disgusting!! I immediately recognized the game and told the rep that I’m not buying a car—-I’m not stupid.

This business is truly misleading people. I don’t understand why they are tricking people into coming into their business. I came in recently because I received a letter in the mail claiming that I won money. The letter states “match your scratch off to your game card to win”. Everything matched in my letter and according to the letter, I won money. The letter also has a number that you call to “claim” and secure your prize. I called the number and I believe that I was told by a automated voice to come in to “claim” my prize/money. It seemed fake and too good to be true so I called Koons Woodbridge to verify if this was valid. I spoke with a representative who told me that the ticket was indeed valid and if the numbers matched, I won. This is very misleading because no where on the letter does it state that another set of numbers needed to be matched up to win. I believe that the representative then told me if my letter stated I won, to come to Koons Woodbridge to “claim” my money. The letter stated the giveaway ended July 5th and the representative confirmed that. Since the representative was making it seem like everything was legit, I decided to give Koons Woodbridge a chance. When I arrived to Koons Woodbridge, I realized that this was actually somewhat of a scam. I was told by a representative that multiple people were getting the same letters and winning numbers. The representative made it seem like Koons Woodbridge was luring people to the dealership through these letters. I regret not reading the reviews before wasting my time and coming to Koons Woodbridge. The sales representative will make you fill out a paper in order to check if you won. This doesn’t make sense because the winning board is on the wall inside the building. Why do you need to fill out a form (give them answers to personal questions) to check if you won? It just seems as if they are asking a bunch of questions to see if you qualify for a car first. After you finish going back and forth with them and telling them you do not want a car, they finally show you the board on the wall. Then they check the board to see if you have a winning number. If your number is not on the board, you get a scratch off lottery ticket (which honestly looks fake and phony, but I never verified). It just feels like a scam and I don’t understand why they are being dishonest to people. If you’re going to send out giveaway letters, please be fully honest. I can’t believe that this business is getting away with doing this to people. My time, energy, and gas is wasted coming to Koons Woodbridge. This is not right what they are doing. Even the sales representative who I spoke to knew that it wasn’t right, but they are still deceiving people. They are not fully honest with people. It seems very illegal to do this as a business. How do they not feel bad about doing this to people?

What a scam! The false advertising that was spent to lure people into a trap was totally unacceptable. This is an untrustworthy establishment. Total bait and switch. Shame on you.
I’ve read your response and again it’s false advertising. We called and we gave the information on the flyer. They said we won. We drove all the way to the dealership in this heat and when we got there the salesman wreaking of alcohol showed us a small number on the flyer and said that we did not win anything. When we asked why we were told over the phone that we won something he could not reply. Shame on you.

Went here after "winning" $3,000 on the “100,000 Cash giveaway" mailer which was a total waste of time. If you receive this ticket in the mail with a matching winning number, this means you didn't necessarily win! The real wining number is on a poster inside their dealership. If your real “winning number” does not match theirs, you won’t win anything but a garbage scratch off ticket with worse odds of winning. They will ask you to complete a “registration form” which is just to collect your info for advertising purposes before all of this is revealed.
Sure, maybe someone could win, but the entire way they get you to think you have 'already' won just to come in and get pitched is scammy and gross. I read the fine print. It is purposely misleading.
