I've been going to Jacquie for my locs for about 2 years now. I love her services. She treats my hair with care from shampoo to styling. She's by appointment only so she is focused on you during your appointment. Her Aloe Vera rinse is an all time favorite❤️

I went to this salon to get my hair done and it was the WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!! I have locs and I booked an appointment for a retwist and pipe cleaner curls. The stylist, Jacqueline, seemed nice enough but her skills were extremely lacking in this area. When I booked the appointment through her website I noted that I wanted pipe cleaner curls which came at an additional cost. However, when I called in advance she wanted me to bring her some pipe cleaners because she was running low. Although I considered to do so, I decided not to because it was not part of her information when I booked the appointment and if not for my calling I would not have known. That wasn’t my responsibility. I arrived on time and she washed my hair. However, her retwist was practically nonexistent. She did not have enough pipe cleaners and those she had were brown which contrasted significantly with my black hair. I asked for the right corner of my hair to be twisted and she attempted to twist the remaining hair into these very large 3 and 4 stranded twists. Horrendous is an understatement for the finish product of my hair. I had to spend the next day trying to fix my entire hair from her mistakes. And ultimately I will have to get my hair done again because her loc retwist did not last even a week. It’s a shame that a person would falsify skills and deceive others just to make a dollar. I would not recommend her to my enemy. I literally wasted 90 dollars.

Lessons Learned: 1) Stick to natural hair care products. Kera Care is fine, but not for natural curly hair. Good products matter! 2) Go with your first instinct. I should not have allowed Jackie to extend my requested trim to a cut. She didn't understand my hair and unnecessarily cut 4 to 6 inches before realizing that my hair is more curly at the ends than roots. 3) Not all "natural stylists" are well-versed in the best products to use and different types of natural hair. Stick to the tried and true. Urban Natural is the best in the area.

I've been taking my son here for about 6 months to get his locs retwisted. Jackie has us in and out in about an hour and her work is excellent. She has her own products that smell divine - Ive purchased her mango oils and butter that can be used on hair and skin. For the people commenting about her not being talkative - so what! Maybe you're not talking about anything... I have had conversations with her on numerous occasions. Other times its a peaceful silence or good music playing softly in the background.

Jackie has been doing my locs for over a year. I am very happy with the service she provides. I wish I would have found her 5 years ago because I was getting my locs done in Maryland. I have gotten so many compliments about my hair. Her shop is clean, relaxing and setup very nicely. I will not go any where else. I highly recommend this this salon 100%.
