“I have been to this patient first many times over the past two years. The doctors and staff who check you in are excellent. I have not been impressed with some of the other healthcare professionals (e.g., one of the people who did my X-ray and a few people who draw blood). Having said that, I have witnessed exceptional care and compassion over the years. One time, I waited for well over an hour (might've been 2) with a horrible sore throat. A month or two later, I received a letter in the mail from Patient First acknowledging the long wait time and apologizing. It very much depends on the staff, but overall, I think you're likely to receive quality care.”

“I have been taken care of by this practice for decades even before their Sentara designation, when they were Dominion at their prior Mapledale location. The staff here is both attentive, diligent, and they care about your health. They have great staff and onsite labs center. There is a waiting room with complimentary masks. The nurse calla you back to take your vitals and record your symptoms and then your nurse practitioner or dr. sees you for further assessment. I’ve been seen on same day appointments. You
