It was my first time boarding my puppy and he had a lot of fun. Everyone made me feel comfortable and were very friendly and I love that you can watch them play while away.

I am beyond disheartened by this location. I’ve been to several Dogtopia’s across the South as I have traveled a lot since getting my beloved Zuko.I understand dogs play rough and things may happen from time to time. However, if a dog is injured that should be the first thing that is said to the owner at pickup! The fact I had to go out to my car and was about to leave when I noticed a patch of fur missing from Zukos Face is absolutely unacceptable. This should not of been first noticed by me when staff are supposed to check our babies before they are brought out to us.Then when I go in to ask what happened I am basically told they have no idea and that’s he was playing pretty hard. Yes, I understand he was playing hard. I do not care about that I care that his face got hurt. I care that it was not the first thing told to me.On top of that this was my first time at this location and they didn’t even write a report card for Zuko or give me the packet to explain behaviors I may see after bringing him home.Truly I am astonished at this location. I wanted to bring Zuko here on the days where I have to go into the Office but after this. I’m not so sure. It’s not even like the mark was hard to see. It was on his dang face.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this location. The people who work there are very friendly. They are amazing with my dog who has anxiety. We have done everything from spa to daycare day to boarding. Every experience has been wonderful. Every time I drop off my pup I know she is in fantastic hands!

Been going here for over eight years. I always buy bundle packages that cost over $1000. We haven't been in a few months but decided to take my dog today and want to use my package. They said they no longer do package so I lost out on my remaining visits which we had 7 left. This is bad business I should have been grandfather in so I could use my package . Also they should have stated that I have to use them by certain time but wS never told. I guess this is a blessing in disguise because the place hasn't been the same since that lady sold it

Yea! Our beagle passed the meet and greet and can now go to doggie daycare. She also got washed and smells so much better. The people I encountered were so very nice and informative. When we left in the afternoon, she did not make a peep all the way home.

UPDATED:The manager called to address the issues I had over billing. She assured me the it was not their policy to charge for being just few minutes late. She apologized for the misunderstanding and lack of communication. She refunded the charge said she would make sure the issues would be addressed. I really appreciate her reaching out to set things right.

Let me start by saying that, generally speaking, we've been fans of Dogtopia. We've used boarding, daycare, and grooming services at the Woodbridge, Springfield, and Alexandria locations. We've been their business proponents even as they've constantly raised prices. Most recently, we had our two labradors there for overnight stays from 12/23 - 12/26 at the Woodbridge location with no problems. We decided to schedule another visit for 12/31 and pick up the morning of 1/2 at the Woodbridge location to take my daughter to see her granddad in Virginia Beach. We made the reservation and a few hours later received a declined notice, a voicemail, and a text. Effective 1/1/23, the Woodbridge location requires dogs to have their influenza vaccine. Our dogs just visited the vet in early December, and the veterinarian has not advised the vaccine. He urged caution but did not say the vaccine is needed. Moreover, despite the several emails we've received from Dogtopia of Springfield and Alexandria, including birthday notifications, the only emails from Woodbridge are for confirmations of boarding. When we reached out, via text, to the number that wrote us, we stated that they would be picked up on 1/2 and we wouldn't be billed for that day; their effective stay ends on 1/1. We also informed the number that we just picked them up on Monday, 12/26, and no one told us of this policy change. Given that it is 12/30, it is too late to have them vaccinated to meet Dogtopia of Woodbridge's policy that starts on 1/1.About 30 minutes later, we received a call from Ashely, the manager at Dogotopia of Woodbridge, restating their new policy and saying that we could go to an animal hospital to get the inial dose for boarding purposes. She also rebuffed our concerns about not being previously informed by stating they've sent email blasts since October. Again, we've yet to receive any emails from Dogtopia of Woodbridge about the policy change, nor were we told on Monday, 12/26, when we picked up our dogs, or Friday, 12/23, when we dropped them off.We understand the policy change and would gladly vaccinate our dogs for influenza during their next scheduled vet visit. However, for Dogotopia of Woodbridge to take such an aggressive stance and not allow for any wiggle room for dogs that are there before 1/1 is absurd. The strict requirement is a kneejerk reaction and not based on logic or practicality. The Washington Post just posted an article about an hour ago about canine influenza that says that the cases are not higher than in previous years. While there has been an uptick in the DC area, including Arlington, vets are urging caution over panic. Again, we understand the desire to be proactive in places with high doggy traffic and to mitigate potential exposure, but there are better ways than not informing clients of a policy change. While we've liked Dogtopia, this experience and their inability to mention a change as they reviewed vaccination records on 12/23 that would go into effect a week later rubs us the wrong way and leaves us searching for alternatives. We were ok paying Dogtopia's exorbitant prices, but now we're reviewing options, and if we have to look, there's a chance that Dogtopia will be far down the list of options in the future.

Whenever my family has a trip out of town, the Woodbridge Team at Dogtopia make me feel secure and confident that our pup is going to be safe, welcomed, have a great time, and get treated with love and care. Our Charlie came home happy and worn out from all the fun he had. Thanks again for another great experience. We'll be back soon.

Overall reliable and happy with the service but it is quite expensive for what you get compared to other dog daycare/ boarding facilities elsewhere. Dogs have play time but are crated as needed and during 2 hour nap time. Fee for overnight is steep at $120 if the dog is dropped off before noon and picked up after noon the next day.

Today when I picked up my dog there were 4 dogs crated for behavioral issues (???)! I had to wait 30 minutes for my dog and the dogs were crated the whole time which meant they were crated for longer than that! This has NEVER been told to us! I'm very concerned because my dog was abused very badly and the crate is very traumatic for her. Additionally, twice in one week, they have dropped the leash right as they open the door to the lobby which has created a huge scene in the lobby with other people waiting on their dogs. I have sent SEVERAL emails about this to the company and they do absolutely NOTHING! This company does not care about your dog!!!! There is never a manager on staff, just a bunch of kids doing as they see fit to the dogs. We are looking for another option because I can't send my dog to this place any longer.
