A hidden gem of the area. The menu carries many staples of BBQ chain restaurants, but dialed up a notch due to the authentic cooking and work of the staff. Everything was cooked to perfection and our server Manuel was amazing.

Staff were polite and the food was quick, but it just wasn't that great. We had Shredded Beef and Pulled Pork with coleslaw and muddy potatoes, with brownies for dessert. Both meats were dry. The sauces were all thin. The best part was the coleslaw, which was fine, followed by the potatoes. The brownies were dry and cakey. I was disappointed.

Ordered the 2 meat combo. Got the Sausage and the BBQ Beef with green beans and macaroni and cheese. The beef is flavorless. Sauce is required to make this have any type of flavor. 3/10 Sausage was bad, Smokey flavor and good texture. 6/10 Green Beans- says they were made with pork. Taste like boiled green beans to me with zero seasoning. 1/10 Macaroni and cheese. Decent flavor and texture. Could use something to make the flavor better? Maybe a touch more of salt. 6/10 I'm a big barbecue fan and eat it every chance I get is why my scoring system is so harsh. I would recommend Mission BBQ over this.

On a Sunday evening my family visited this restaurant for the first time. The place was almost empty but we were out a little later than usual so we thought that was why.Cleaning supplies and cloths were lying around. We ordered, got the food and half the orders were not warm. Half were hot.My baked potato with beef on top, was cold. The butter put under the meat on the potato was still solid and cold. It may have been fine if correctly heated. I asked for it to be warmed up. It was and given back. Other family members refused to ask this and just didn’t finish their meal. There is no excuse. Meat sitting at room temperature is asking for food poisoning. We will never return and will let others know.

An excellent spot in town. One of the many great independent restaurants in the area. The biggest issue is missing items in take out. Packing an order cannot be this hard. Multiple times missing small but essential items like bbq sauce or the roll. Everything is packed in paper bags so you would have to disassemble to check. I had the right number of paper bags but of course the roll was missing tonight. They even underlined it on the receipt. This keeps happening, and when I called the employee didn’t seem to really care. No apology. Just a “oh, they think they forgot to pack it” would that excuse work if I forgot to pay for my whole order? I think the employee would take that a lot more seriously. Of course I figured all of this out once I got home, too far to be worth going back.

I came here with the intention of getting a to-go meal, but they had the Sunday buffet going on, so I decided to try that. The food was delicious. You can tell when a restaurant puts care and time into their food. I had the BBQ chicken, mac and cheese, collard greens and fried potatoes. And I have no complaints about any of it.Will definitely return here in the future to try other things on the menu!

Love Dixie Bones. Been going there for years. The pork is great. Love the muddy spuds. My favorite is the catfish. Forget the tartar sauce, use the Alabama white sauce on the catfish. It's amazing. I've never tried the baked potatoes with barbecue on them, but they're extremely popular. My only disappointment is the ribs. Mine are better. But with all the truly delicious things on the menu, it hardly matters. The service is friendly and helpful. I'd recommend Dixie Bones to anyone who likes good barbecue.

This place is good, made of scratch, southern comfort food. What makes it great is Nelson Head the owner. Growing up in Birmingham Alabama , Nelson brings the tradition of home made fresh ingredients mixed with southern charm. He's part of the daily working at Dixie Bones and treats his guests and staff the way you'd expect a gracious southern gentleman would. The family friendly vibe is one where you can sit and enjoy your sweet tea and Bar-B-Q savoring every bit.

Food is garbage, no seasoning. Service was mediocre. Driest cornbread I've ever had. BBQ flavors were very limited.
