My husband bought a user car from Absolute Motors in December 2023. I will start by saying the car buying experience was alright. Abe was patient and seemed to be knowledgeable. He even sent us to get new tires after purchase when he noticed that one of the tires wasn't holding air. The vehicle did pass MD state inspection and Abe wanted us to contact him if it did not, which was nice. (This is the only reason this review is 2 stars and not 1 star.)
However, after purchasing the vehicle, it took a month for him to send the title and the check for the balance due to us (my husband paid via bank check and couldn't change the amount on the check while at the dealer). It was so long that he had to send us a second set of temporary tags. It also was very difficult to get Abe on the phone. I understand that people can be busy, but we should not have to call several times in one week to get an answer.
Let's flash forward to April 2024. The car we purchased in December 2023- 5 months ago- starts over heating. We take it to our mechanic and the water pump and radiator went up at the same time which fried the engine. In addition to replacing the radiator (twice) and the water pump, we have had to reseal the engine and replace the thermostat housing and the thermostat. When we tried to contact Abe to figure out if he had any inkling that these might be issues in the future, he did not return ANY of our calls. Our mechanic says the inside of the car looks like a hodgepodge of parts.
It is now July 2024 and the car has been in the shop for 3 months. I understand that when you purchase a used vehicle it is "buyer beware" but this is ridiculous. The car is basically totaled not even 6 months after purchase.

I got a car from this place in 2017, which overheated and broke down just three weeks after purchase. Their "inspection" is worthless just like their warranty. I paid hundreds for their warranty, and after the first breakdown, I had to pay a $300 deductible to replace the car's engine, and it continued rattling even after the "repair". Unsurprisingly, the same car broke down a second time just three months later. So on top of the original sale, I was out nearly $1k, and still had a broken car that had fallen apart twice.
Cheap cars, cheaper parts, and repairs that keep your car alive for just 60 days.
Don't believe their salesmen - they're smooth talkers and are very good at what they do, and are very pushy. Their cars just don't live up to whatever they say.
And don't believe the rating on Google reviews - they hound people to leave a review immediately after you buy a car, betting that you won't remember to come back if your car breaks down months or a year later.

My son Alex and I got a fair price from Abe for a 2009 Ford Fusion with reasonably low miles. 7000 miles later the car needs a new engine. I talked with Abe and he said he would look into it for me but never got back to me. Every time I call his cell or the shop it goes to voice mail. The one time he picked up he said he was with a customer and would call me back, but never did. Total nightmare.

My boyfriend and his mother purchased his car from this sham of a dealership in September of 2023. It was a 2005 Mazda mazda3 in seemingly perfect condition, and while it required some initial (costly) repairs to pass inspection and drove (again, seemingly) fine- within a short time everything went south. He took it to many shops, who finally told him it needs a new engine, which costs $5,000- the same price of the car. It burns through multiple quarts of oil every week. Anyone who was in possession of this vehicle would have noticed, especially someone who knows cars. They knowingly sold him this money pit. Please learn from our mistake- save your money and go to another dealership

Abe helped us with our car purchase in a very honest and welcoming manner and answered all of our questions without pressuring us into a purchase.
There were a few issues with the car that we noticed after buying but Abe made sure they were all resolved quickly and without charging us.
