The owner gave us a personalized tasting of 12 wines. They have all fruit wines: blackberry, blueberry, plum, peach, and pear wines that are dry and sweet. Bottles were about $12 - $14. This is a very small winery; the owner team of a very nice man and his wife staff it all from what we could tell, so we were really amazed at everything they do! Fruit trees on the property, so it’s a nice place to visit. We had a nice private picnic on a Friday afternoon, sitting in their Adirondack chairs.

I met H.T. one day when Brooks Mill was selling at the Forest Farmer’s Market. I liked everything I tried and especially his sangria. You can buy a kit of ingredients so you can make it at home. I would almost always buy something from him every time he was in Forest.
I’m glad the family and I got to go his winery while visiting my parents at the lake. We spent a lovely hour, tasting flights and visiting. It’s always nice when the actual winemaker is there to tell you the history behind the business and how it’s done.
Also if you are a runner, H.T. has fun stories to tell! I’m sure we will be back for another visit sometime!

The wines were good and the experience was fantastic. Visited one Monday afternoon and was immediately greeted by H.T. (owner) who was a wonderful host. He patiently explained the tasting options available to us as well as the wines. After ordering our flights he sat and conversed with us the whole time. He definitely made us to feel at home in this cozy place. A must try!

We ventured from Mariners Landing to Brooks Mill while perusing the West Lake area and had a nice time. We did a tasting and the owners were very well organized. They specialize in fruit wines and while that isn't my favorite style, we did end up leaving with three bottles, including one sangria kit. They are kind of located off the beating path, but it makes for a nice drive and fun afternoon activity!

intimate and friendly tasting experience. we aren't a big fan of virginia wines, but always leave Brooks Mill Winery with a couple bottles of their sweet fruit wines. we like the blueberry and pear.

Intimate tasting experience with a wide variety of fruit wines. Consistent quality for wines that are hand picked and hand bottled. Definitely worth a detour from the lakeside.
