I like to stop at this store on my way back to Virginia Beach. This location has a good selection of specialty products. Staff is very helpful too.

The older man at the register was extremely rude. We purchased over 300 dollars of beverages to restock our bar. If you are black don't do like we did and spend your money there. The location is not too fond of black people and will not greet you and appreciate your business.

I drove 45 minutes for a bottle of Blanton's. When I arrived the lady stocking the shelves immediatly stood up greeted me and asked if i needed help. I told her i was looking for Blanton's. She said your in luck i have 4 left. I also have Eagle Rare and Buffalo Trace. Being in sales and customer service myself, I greatly apriciated the added info and purchased all 3 as they are hard to find as well. Overall great experience. I know its "just slcohol" but I collect and she made the drive worth it.

Let me begin my stating that my uncle managed several VA ABC stores in this region for over 40 years before his passing, that being said, I absolutely have the utmost respect for the industry as well as an awareness of what sort of standards employees are held to. I visited the ABC Store # on August 19 at approximately 4:15pm. Being that I have not been out much since the onset of this pandemic, I was operating under the guidelines I’d heard set forth by Governor Northam regarding mask wearing; I personally can not cover my airways for many documented medical reasons and thus was under the impression that I was exempt from doing so according to the governors’ ordinance— I was absolutely unaware this would be an issue to the level that one of your employees escalated it to. The employee in question was the only female working at the time of the incident (alongside 2 males which were both completely blameless), and thus should be very easy to identify; I requested her name or an employee identifier several times which she refused to divulge. This employee engaged in an outright argument with me in the middle of the store for over 15 minutes, the entire time shutting down the other male employee who was actively trying to make accommodations by which to serve me. She insisted I put a filthy mask over my face that she had pulled from behind the counter and handled on both sides with her bare hands, and raised her voice at me in accusation as though my medical condition was by choice. I will spare citing further specific details of the incident here as I genuinely implore management to review the security cameras of the incident to get a full, unbiased understanding of just how wildly inappropriate this employees behavior was. Suffice it to say, I left the store grateful that I hadn’t spent any of my hard earned money within that establishment; as I left, by the way, the female employee in question shouted smart-mouthed final words at my back even after I was through the door. Again, I implore the review of the security footage, as well as stern reprehension of this embarrassment to your establishment.
