I packed a 5x15 unit and did not open it again for four years. When I went to retrieve the contents, the facility access code worked, the lock that I purchased from the facility easily opened, the unit was clean with no signs of bugs, and the contents were undisturbed. I swept out the unit, left the door open, and used their online email to inform them of the move. The facility manager replied with a very nice thank-you message and my account was changed to a zero balance. So easy!
I did talk to/correspond with the corporate and the local office a few times over those four years always with success. They answered my questions in a prompt and friendly manner.
Despite about a $20 price increase over those four years, this facility is still the cheapest in the Tidewater area.
If I ever need storage again, this company will definitely get my business.

The whole process was easy, the people I spoke with were friendly and responsive. The facility is easy to access.

Very secure. When we got to our unit, there is water damage to some of our items, from the roof leak. Wish there was a manager on sight.

I'm a OTR Trucker and I rented a Unit that I never got the chance to use. Rented for a month and when I got back in town they had already rented the Unit I had paid for again to another customer.. If you're a trucker that's out 2 weeks at a time.. Watch out!!

Buyer beware...I checked in online and made my first payment. Being retired military, I sent a copy of my military ID to get the discount. Filled my unit and went on my way. I came back about 2 weeks to get some things and found one of their locks on my unit, no phone calls, no emails, just a lock. Four phone calls/messages andtwo weeks later still nothing. I had to go through their quality assurance department and file a complaint in order to determine why they had locked it. About a week later I got an email giving me the code to their lock. I emptied out the next day and sent an email stating I had vacated the unit, still waiting to see if they charge me again.

Facilities are nice and seem fair priced for location. At first I was happy with the customer service but when it came time to end my need of a unit I canceled with the app, left a voicemail being I moved out on a Saturday and the office is only open Monday through Friday. The following Monday received a call from someone and was told they got my cancellation and via the app and would have someone check the unit the following day when they were at the facility and I would be set to go. That was the end, being it was a week before I owed rent again, so I thought…a week after the initial call I receive an email saying rents due. Called and spoke with someone again and was told I need to go to the unit and verify the unit is cleaned out and my lock is removed. Went to the unit and the company had already verified everything and placed their lock on it. Seems like miscommunication within the office and not a customers fault. The woman that answered the phone seemed to have an attitude about the fact I hadn’t completed the move out the way they wanted and did it via the app (which is not clarified in any information I had received when I moved into the unit) and told me to either stop at the unit and email them a picture or continue to receive emails/calls. Overall nice units but definitely wasn’t impressed with the customer service upon move out.

I'm happy with Windsor self storage, easy to make payments online, storage unit is a nice size almost the size of a living room of an apartment, and customer service is really friendly.

The Storage space was exactly what we needed. It was clean and the sourrounding area was well kept. Customer service is great.
