My experience with Discount Audio in Winchester was more than satisfactory. Tom was very pleasant and professional, while Craig the technician did a first-class job of hooking up my midrange-subwoofer speakers in my 2010 Ranger XL Regular Cab. Craig spent time with me adjusting the rear sub's before i drove off, and the price that Tom quoted me for the job was the price I paid in the end.
Tom gets right back to you when you send him an email, something many businesses that have online presences do not do to my amazement; I have three website myself. Granted, some people may have had a difference experience, but writing a positive review takes time, and many times very satisfied customers just do not take the time to do so.
There is a waiting area, my job took about two hours, but Craig may have been multi-tasking during that time. I was only charged for the one hour of work. Love the sound of my new audio hook-up, had put Rockford-Fosgates in the front door panels of the Ranger ( they sell this brand also ) and ditched the factory OEM speakers made in Mexico. Going back for another install job this week.
Give them a try. The salesman or men may have had a bad day on some of these reviews. No business is perfect all the time, just has to be most of the time to have hundreds or thousands of satisfied customers.
UPDATE, Nov. 5, 2024: Just had Danny, the installation tech, run USB cable from the new front Rove dashcam to a Rove cigar shaped rear camera, and then, without even asking, Danny hid the front camera's spaghetti wires running from a power outlet and actually hardwired the whole front/rear system to a live-when-ignition-ON fuse!! $400 is more than a fair price for all that Danny did (sweat, skill, hardwire kit) and my new 2021 Forester still looks like a virgin. This guy is one of the best audio techs I have ever had the pleasure to use. So if you have a wiring or power source set-up you are afraid to tackle because of lack of knowledge or a bad back like me, call Discount Audio up and they will give you a quote that will be much to you liking. A+ with 6 Stars, but Google doesn't go that high. Came in at 2:45 on Election Day, and drove away smiling at about 4:10 pm capturing the nasty lady tailgating me all the way to Route 37. He, He, He.

Such a wonderful place to go to! The older gentleman there helped me both times I was there. First time he helped me pick out the perfect Alpine amp to go with my 12 inch sub. The second time I went back and he helped me adjust my amp levels to get the perfect amount of bass. Absolutely would recommend! Great staff, great products, great prices. Couldn't ask for more! The fact that they are so willing to help after purchase is great.

Called in to ask about how difficult it is to swap the radio in my truck, & after talking to these guys it was going to be to much work to do for now. The guy I spoke to was so nice. Tha ks for all the info.

I will say, I've had many poor experiences with car audio installation (and audio equipment in general - long story) over the years and I was definitely about to lose all hope in humanity until I found this place!
John (the guy with the long beard) was very knowledgeable and great to deal with. Their prices are fair and they even got me in same day. Made me feel welcome to be there. Best of all, they have a great lounge with lazy boy couches (where I'm sitting now as I write this review), TV, and phone charging station! Overall, a very good experience. Will recommend to others.

Had issues with my headlights being out of adjustment I called these guys and they were able to get my lights readjusted. Great place and good people

Update - they did message me and said they were sorry they left my car unlocked and it was a safe neighborhood. But I’ve worked hard for my assets and I just trust people will lock my vehicle when working on them.
Got some work done only thing that stops me from giving them a 5-Star is they left my car unlocked.
