I filed a case almost 3 years ago at this office, and have yet to hear anything back. The physical office is ALWAYS closed. Ive gone there 15-20 times, pretty much every time Im in Winchester, and they are never open for business. I e called, probably at least 100 times since filing, send a bunch of emails, and nothing. I am owed 1.5 years of back child support and this office and most of DCS dont give a rats @$$ about it!!?

Customer service and support is non existent. In fact, when you call you can hear the annoyance in the representatives tone.

This department is non responsive. This department once you are able to speak with them will tell you that you are paid in full for the month, send you a refund check, and then charge you interest and late fees because you sent a check for the first of the next month and it arrived on the 29th of the current month. It would be if someone knew basic manners and had a little common sense. This department will also in court agree to not have your wages garnished and then turn around and do it any way. I will not trust them and I have my bank, attorney, and print out copies of every email that I exchange with them. The emails for two reasons because they are rare and because they are proof that they lie. After this post I probably won't see one ever again.

Left a message almost a week ago and have yet to get my call returned. Do people not know how to run an office?

I took my case to the Winchester child support , told them about my case and asked them to collect my support for me rather. They asked the non custodial parent to pay me the support direct and that he should pay the arrears to them. Which is never right. Fiona james the case manager and the reception lady doesn’t know what the are doing. They take bribe from the non custodial parent

The front desk at the Fairfax office is kind and helpful, cannot say the same for the rest of the system. Paid my balance in full through 4 payments. Only two are reflected in my account. No notice of who my case worker is, but when the 800 number is called they only give last name. You are unable to reach your case worker and they have 3 days to return your call. Now I have to wait, at least 3 days to find out where over $12,000.00 in payments has gone. This system is completely broken and does not allow anyone trying to correct any issues access to the people needed to do so. DCSE has no problem reporting you to the credit bureaus, even if your paying as court ordered and are current. Trying to get them to report a paid in full is a futile waist of time and energy. They have no problem taking the money immediately from my account, but after 11 days, it is still not showing in their system. No one at the call center has contact information for the case workers, but they can message the case worker. If these people were missing $12,000.00 I bet they would be losing their minds. This is a horrible, broken system, that does not, I repeat, does not allow anyone the ability to correct a mistake they made or to do the right thing. I hope there is a complete overhaul of this agency and system in the near future. WARNING to anyone dealing with DCSE, prepare yourself for headache, ulcers and grief!!!!!!

They NEVER return my phone calls. When I call they act like I am bugging them and I should not be calling them. This is relative to my child I have every right to contact them to see what is going on with my case.

It’s a shame you have to give one star. The morons at this office will lose your payments and then hold them for 2 months before they send them to you. The whole place needs a lesson in customer service and they should probably hire people who actually want to help people and who actually care about children. Division of CHILD support enforcement but they do nothing to help you support your child. I don’t know how holding a regular payment for 2 months and then have everyone at the office have a different answer for your question is helping anyone.
