The staff at this facility, have the utmost caring and compassion for not only the animals, but the family members who bring their animals in. Highly recommend them!

Came in from Jefferson county WV.
Brought my dog in Sunday morning & they were very friendly. Dr. Martinez was very thoughtful & knowledgable. The gal at the front desk did our intake over the phone before we arrived. Will definitely come back if needed.

I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Valley Vet ER in Winchester, VA. This past week has been incredibly difficult for us, as we lost our first cat to a heart attack and then had to deal with our other cat's upper respiratory infection.
The team worked tirelessly to try to save our first cat, making the experience more manageable for us. The front desk staff were also a tremendous help, handling our urgent situation with efficiency and care.
When it came time to discharge our other cat, they thoroughly explained everything they found and provided valuable recommendations for improving his quality of life.
Thank you all for your support.

We are so heartbroken from losing our fur baby this weekend. We tried to make appointments with vets (checked no less than 6 vets) for 2 days straight and they were all completely booked. Our senior pittie was super happy and doing great, being herself, then all the sudden started coughing and having labored breathing. We tried to find a vet right away (when she started getting these symptoms) and unfortunately couldn't get into a vet or find an ER anywhere close. Life center in Leesburg is no longer open on weekends and the other urgent vets were completely booked. Valley veterinary emergency center in Winchester was more than accommodating. While driving our baby to their ER to get her help, she passed away in the car. Words can't express how sad we are. Really a bummer when your pup is in need of immediate care and there's no ER or vets who can see your dog immediately. Valley veterinary emergency is a blessing thank you guys for being so kind and understanding during this incredibly hard time. We are grateful for you all.?

I have visited Valley Vet 3 times in the past 2 years and every visit has been THE BEST! Efficient. Caring. Organized. Thorough.
Dr Milano & Elaine took excellent care of our dog today & Kaylee at the front desk took excellent care of me.
We are very fortunate to have Valley Vet & I highly recommend them!

So much for an emergency vet! Had an emergency and was told they weren't accepting animals at the time and didn't have a vet available. Don't claim you're an emergency vet if you don't have a vet on call. Had to put my kitten down due to there being no emergency vet.

Came here after my cat was injured. The staff was very very nice but the bedside manner of the vet was very poor. He was friendly enough but came in and gave us a "good news before the bad" without informing us ahead of time so after going on about her dislocated elbow and how it may need amputated but they can possibly maybe fix it, giving us hope, turned around and shot that all down by telling us our cat had a ruptured lung "somewhere" and would need a chest tube placed but that they did not perform the surgery she needed (that would be at least 10 grand anyway).
It was heart shattering to be told "Hey we can fix this! But yeah we can't fix that or that..." so we ended up making that hard decision to end her suffering. I even asked if they would place the chest tube and let me take her home and find another vet and he said no. She would have to be admitted to them and then care transfered to another vet apparently? After she was admitted? I'm not sure. He far more informed and thorough about the dislocated elbow.
(We think she fell from the rafters in the garage. We don't even know how she ended up in the garage. It was all very traumatic made more emotionally hard by an insensitive veterinarian)
Would I return in an emergency, yes, if I had to. As I said the staff was amazing. I would just be prepared ahead of time to ask for the bad news first.

Our experience here was disappointing to say the least. (July of this year) Please, if you love your pets avoid this money hungry establishment at all costs. Everyone but the front desk staff had a nasty attitude. They told us that our puppy would suffocate in her sleep if we didn’t hospitalize her immediately. She had aspiration pneumonia when we bought her. No compassion for the pets or pet owners. They wanted to charge us almost 5,000 for the first 24 hours and told us that she’d probably need to stay several days after that. We took our baby home! (Of course) and she is ALIVE happy, healthy and thriving. Here is Aspen then and now.

This place was the only place open on a Saturday I wish I would have read the reviews ...DONT take your pets here....worst experience ever....so rude, they judge you as soon as you walk in the door...no pet insurance they assume can't pay....I lost both my cats I will never send or go here ever again....

I WAS TURNED AWAY WITH A DYING KITTEN IN HAND. This was 10/2 at 11:00pm so whoever was the receptionist the 2 ladies need to be fired immediately just for their reaction to me bringing this kitten in I mean the look on their faces? They have no sympathy for animals unless you have money. I was fully ready to surrender him to them because I cared more about him getting help than me keeping him. They flat out look disgusted and then an older woman came forward and told me home remedies to help him? She didn’t even wanna hold him or take a look at him? I thought animal cruelty was a felony? Basically they said well without money this is what you can do and if he died he dies oh well so sad? What happen to people becoming vets because they care about the animal not the money? I WAS READY TO SURRENDER HIM FOR HIS WELL BEING AND THEY SAID NO DUE TO MONEY. This place does not care about animals only money he wasn’t even breathing correctly and they had ZERO sympathy just disgusted faces.

This facility prioritizes cases as they come in, and has always seen my fur babies in a timely manner. They are gentle and considerate.
