Mark A.'s review is spot on. I've been trustee for my parents accounts for several years. They were based in South Carolina and now in a nursing home. I've had to drive out of this area to get to another branch with SunTrust - this one (Jodi) refuses to take DEPOSITS to the account, provide any form of customer assistance at all. I hope with the merger with BB&T this one is shut down. The staff at this branch work really really hard to make sure you can't access your account, money, or even make a deposit. The folks in SC just tell me to avoid them. I now want to avoid every aspect of this bank.

Customer service 101, you don't wait until the customer greets you. YOU GREET THE CUSTOMER FIRST. There's even Walmart positions just for greeters. I was the ONLY car at the drive thru and none of the two employees inside would acknowledge me and continue about their business while occasionally glancing at me. No other customer cars were at the front of the bank, assuming they were busy with other clients. I'm a BBT customer, Suntrust bought BBT, so I only had a question. Absolutely the most odd experience. NEED TRAINING ASAP!

I have had it with Suntrust Bank in Winchester, VA on Pleasant Valley Road. I enjoyed banking there when Rick Newcome was the manager. He ran things and took care of his customers like no bank manager I've ever seen. Since Rick left this bank the branch has gone down the toilet. There is no more personal customer service when you go in. There are always new employees. After Rick left they couldn't keep employees. Every time (weekly) I would go in to the branch to do banking I would get interrogated by the new teller waiting on me, demanding identification every time I came in. Now they have yet another relatively new manager by the name of Jodie. She is trying to get things together and has been very nice however that doesn't change the fact that the bank itself is horrible! Most recently for the past 6 weeks I have spent hours on the phone with Suntrust trying to get all my accounts into cashmanager so I can manage everything I have from home. After hours and hours on the phone I finally reached a very nice gentleman who actually helped me over the phone to complete the necessary form 319111 in order to have this completed. I have faxed in their form 319111 to the fax number they provided. I was told this would take up to 72 hours to get done. I waited a week, NOTHING! I called back twice and spent hours on ignore and got nowhere with the agents I reached. I finally mailed in the form to the address they instructed it be sent to. 3 weeks later-NOTHING! Next I find out that a 6 figure money market account I am associated with that is held for my mother went dormant. DO YOU THINK ANYONE FROM SUNTRUST CALLED TO INFORM US OF THAT? HELL NO THEY DIDN'T!!! So what happened, they sent the money to the lost money fund with the State of Virginia. It took 6 months to get it back. Lastly just this past week I transferred money from a Suntrust Account to another Suntrust Account. WHAT THE HELL, I receive a letter in the mail a couple days later advising me the check has had a hold put on it and my money is not available. I can't believe that Suntrust put a hold on money transferred from one account to another in their own damn bank. Just now I went online into cashmanager and guess what, STILL NO COMPLETION OF ADDING MY OTHER PERSONAL ACCOUNTS TO THE CASHMANAGER. I have had it with these IDIOTS. I am taking everything to another bank that respects it's customers, keeps their employees, gives you immediate access to money you deposit, and don't interrogate you when you want to do business. GOOD BYE SUNTRUST!
