A step above Motel 6, but below Holiday Inn. Looks like the owners are cutting back on maintenance. Rooms don't seem to be cleaned all that well. Breakfast is decent.

Best experience I’ve had at a hotel. Super clean and smells amazing! The food was delicious and the breakfast lady (Stacy) was the nicest person I’ve met. She offered to help with anything I needed or had a question about. Great staff like Stacy makes the experience 10x better!

I used to stay at this hotel all the time when in the Winchester/Skyline Drive area. This hotel really used to be a nice hotel. I may be wrong but I think it was sold. My fiancee and I stayed there in July and noticed that it was different and the interior was starting to go down. But we decided to give it one more shot despite negative reviews last night on November 2, 2024. We get there and go to check in and find out the elevator was not working so you had to climb steps, carpet in hallway was rippled up. Get to our room , the carpet is stained. Different color light bulbs in room. Paint peeling off bathroom door and the biggest thing that we didn't believe on previous reviews were bugs. I go to get in the shower and there is bugs crawling on the walls. Like I said this used to be a really nice place. There was mold on top of shower where it met wall. I went downstairs and talked to clerk and she offered to change our room and I said no, I wanted my money back and finally she did. She said I won't charge you a cancellation fee. I didn't cancel, I showed up , I can't help there is bugs. Like I said there was previous reviews that mentioned bugs. So we left and went to another hotel. Than the 2nd floor smelled of weed.

Needs some attention. Independent ownership and seems to be letting it go. Shame. I usually love SleepInn, but this one missed.themark.
Rooms: Was a bit rundown. Sofa was dirty and torn. Shower head leaked, visible mold on ceiling. Was a but surprised. Usually SleepInn is a good choice.

I have plenty of positive things to say about our stay last night at this Sleep Inn property. It started with excellent, friendly, welcoming staff who greeted me at check in. Our room was clean and in excellent condition, and check out staff was very nice too. The breakfast was acceptable with good coffee. I'd definitely stay at this location again.

Pros: cheap, spacious rooms, breakfast, good location, free parking, hot water, enough blankets/pillows.
Cones: smells like mold or old furniture. Honestly smell was the biggest turn off. Yes hotel is old and needs some renovation, bathrooms look worn down and you can find a lot of dust in AC. But non of this compares with the smell. I feel without it, al the little things wouldn’t really matter.
So yeah, cheap stay, but get it on your own risk.

Washroom requires renovation, especially shower, tub, and fan. The fan is too loud. In all, it's OK for its price price point.

We had an excellent time at Sleep Inn. The hotel and room service was great and we really enjoyed swimming in pool! We hope to come again and can recommend this place to anyone visiting Virginia.

Upon arrival, the lobby is quiet and pleasant. Once in the room, we found some kind of drink splatter on the ceiling and wall. There was also some kind of drink splatter on the wall behind the TV. Let the front desk know, and they didn't seem to be too concerned about it. The pool was decent minus the fact it looks like the ceiling is going to cave in at any moment on time. Check out time was at noon, but at 10:30 a.m., a member of hotel staff used their master key to enter the room without knocking first to find out if we were staying over or leaving. I have stayed at many hotels in my lifetime, but this was the first time I've ever had someone just randomly enter my room like that.
Walkability: There is a Golden Corral and a Costco next door, which is nice.
Food and drinks: Breakfast consists of waffles, cereal, oatmeal, Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches, bagels, muffins, yogurt, and of course juice and coffee. It's not too bad.
Noteworthy details: The biggest takeaway is that this was my first and last time staying here for reasons stated above. The pros obviously outweigh the cons, and there are so many other properties that are just as budget friendly.

A nice place to stay. Nothing fancy and the rooms are a bit tired feeling. Needed paint in the bathroom, new bathroom fixtures, shower curtain, and new toilet seat. BUT the room was spacious, a/c worked great (down to 65 degrees), bed was very comfortable, lots of pillows. Pillows were small but i shook them out and they fluffed out to a standard size. We stayed several nights and our room was made up each day which is something that will cause me to return. When Im on vacation, i dont want to make my own bed! So nice to come back to our room at the end of a busy day and it was all freshened up. The breakfast consisted of juice, coffee, teas, waffles, bagels (no bread), oranges, packaged muffins, Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches, yogurt, and two different cereals. Shout out to Stacey for keeping everything sparkling clean and replenished. Great customer service!
The check-in/out staff we courteous and pleasant.
Rooms: Our room had a large counter top and sink. Cupboards. Fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. A/C worked great. Excellent blackout curtains. Spacious room.
