The emergency shelter should be shut down. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone searching for dire help. However they have a great power in researching other programs or cities in other aspects of the state. (If you're fortunate enough to have the ability to drive and move your family along with your belongings). I hope eventually it can be a safe haven for families in emergencies, Winchester needs it.Staff is friendly, but the director not so much.

allows drug dealers to deal drugs without consequences and protects people that are fake when in that shelter... so i would not recomend any familys to go here due to there inability to stop drugs from being used and sold at 300 ft collier rd.. also they will not allow police to do there job and stop it because they refuse to even drug test people...

I tried to donate a sectional that I've had for years from a kid and smoke free home. Granted one of the arms were a little faded due to direct sunlight from a skylight, other than that it was in perfect condition. The drivers came in and immediately said "we can't take that because it has a stain on it". First of all, it wasn't stained, it was faded...were you expecting a brand new couch? I was so confused. Apparently they were focused on how much money they can make by reselling the "free" item and I was more concerned with helping someone in need. Unfortunately, I had to dispose of the couch.
