I have had Quarles since I moved into my house in 2017 and never had any issues. Now that they have merged with Superior Plus Propane, I have had nothing but billing issues. They are trying to say I owe a payment from almost a year ago despite having a bill stating nothing was owed for that month. I have three different balances owed showing on my account. None of it makes any sense and I am not happy.

I have had Quarles Propane since 2018 when I purchased the home. I do not recommend Quarles based on their incoherent rules and stipulations around receiving fuel. You are forced to lease a tank, pay a tank leasing fee if you do not meet their artificially set threshold (I am 10 gallons shy of this threshold this year). In addition, you can not schedule delivery of fuel unless you are nearly empty (less than 30 percent), so you cannot fill your tanks to avoid these unnecessary fees. If they are to retrieve the leased tanks (that they own), they will charge you a fee to pick them up. These practices demonstrate a company not aligned to customer values, but to executive profits. Look for a local company, avoid Quarles.
Last note: One year I had issues trying to schedule a refill, no answer, no response to voicemails, etc. This was one year (around 2021). Other than that, Quarles does refill based on usage trends.

I have already had problems with this company; filling my tank full when I only asked for a certain amount. They then expect you to pay immediately. But today; I called to find out when they’re going to fill my tank again as I called a while ago. Linda answered and started laughing at me. They apparently tried to deliver but couldn’t get up my driveway yet didn’t tell me. She said it’s not their responsibility to call me; it’s mine to know they didn’t get up and to call them to reschedule them. Not sure how I was supposed to know. This is a joke to them. Heating my house is not a joke!

Very poor customer service. 10 day turn around on an oil delivery. Their website is very confusing and takes 30-40 minutes to get anyone on the phone.

The worst customer service ever!! They were great until they were purchased last year. Now, even if you are below 10% and need a refill they will take a week to service you. When you call for help they say "too bad that is our policy. If you run out then we will come out sooner". WHAT?!? Stay as far from them as you can!

If i could give this company 0 stars I would. Been calling this company since the first week of October 2022. Was told someone would contact me on delivery. Called last week of October 2022 still nothing. Called in November 2022 told them I had less then 70 in my tank still no delivery. Called December 22, 2022, and the lady said "not my problem" . Sweetheart I ve been calling your company for months an you refuse to complete a job your paid to do. Now it's December 28, 2022, and I have no fuel and still they claim they can't come out for days. In the past they never showed up and now I am out of fuel. Called other companies and they were more helpful this this company. People please STAY AWAY from this company for they have no care for the customers they have. Looking forward to the new hook up from a much caring company of it's customers.

Signed up for a new customer account, got it all set up, told them we were at about a quarter of a tank. We bought this house a year ago so we are just getting used to having oil heat. I called almost a week after I put in the request to see if they had an ETA for the oil. I was told I still hadn't been assigned a driver and they would come as soon as possible. I expressed that I was almost out of oil ahead of a big snow storm and he basically said, "Well, that's what we're dealing with right now so we'll get there as soon as we can." I asked what I was supposed to do if the oil ran out, just oh well? His response "Yeah, that's what we're dealing with." I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told there are none available. I called back to speak to someone else which started better until I said, 'I will get some oil in my tank until you guys can come within the ten days.' to which she responded, "No ma'am that is NOT how it works. I can't send my drivers out there with oil if your tank is full. You're taking oil from someone else!" Which is silly, because how is that possible? Also I never said I was getting a fill from another company, just getting oil to survive. So they were more worried about getting their $ and didn't care a bit about retaining a new customer, making sure their customer had heat, and not once did they apologize for not conveying the 10 day time frame or doing anything to see if they could expedite the delivery. It was the worst customer service I have ever received. Stick with Emmart.

Ordered propane and was delivered on time. At time of order I ordered 100 gallons of propane. When driver arrived I also stated 100 gallons of propane. Driver stopped pumping at 159 gallons. He did tell me when I got the ticket that someone err'd by not locking the 100 gallons in the computer. I called Quarels who after investigating admits it was there mistake and did give me .50 a gallon off on the 59 gallons additional I received. Quarles is a huge company that makes huge profits and that's what they seem to care most about. I'd recommend anyone ordering to double check their orders as there seems to be no checks and balances on order.

Buyer beware! If you are looking for new propane service do not use Quarles. Let me tell you my experience with them.
Quarles’s propane prices are nearly a dollar more than several other suppliers in the Winchester area. To get Quarles’s price match guarantee, you need to have the other company’s price in writing on their letter head. Other companies are unlikely to give you this, and Quarles know it. A bill with the other company’s price and address does not count as that price may not be a true price.
I decided to cancel my service with Quarles. When I called to cancel my service, I was first quoted a price of $4,506.13 to purchase their tank so I could go to a new provider. I complained about that, and the next quote was $1,596.21. I asked how much to just come get their tank it was told it would be approximately $1,200 to remove it with no restoration of the yard.
I was also told that Quarles sells a high quality product And the other companies may not. Their trucks fill up at the same distribution point as all the rest of the local companies.
And now this morning I called to find out why I had not received my September auto fill. Somehow I had been switched to the refill one year after last fill up. My last fill up was last February. It would have been mighty cold around here before I had a full tank.
Buyer beware!

Quick, easy, professional service. Probably the best experience setting up a new account that I've had in a long time. Laurie C. was very professional and helpful.

Laurie was thorough and explained important information very clearly. Danny, the fuel delivery employee, was efficient, professional and is a great asset for Quarles. I have confidence that this quality customer service will continue.
