The best place to purchase kids clothes and toys! They have an amazing selection of high end brands at awesome prices! The staff is wonderful and get to know their customers on a personal level. April has even gone out of her way to reach out to me if they get something in that she thinks I would be interested in! I have never walked out disappointed and I always enjoy my time there with April and the rest of the staff!! They really are the BEST!

Once Upon a Child is an outstanding establishment. It always amazes me how kind and respectful the staff are. By far the kindest and most helpful is Lillian, she always manages to find me exactly what I’m looking for. Will absolutely be coming back, and recommending to my family!!

I’ve been selling and buying at this store for 4 years. I find the neatest educational toys/books and very nice clothes for my 4 year old. She goes thru phases , like she currently went thru a Poppy from the movie Trolls phase and they had t-shirts and even a Poppy Halloween costume available, that was not available to purchase in any local store. The stores inventory manager Matty is also very friendly and helpful. I love how organized and clean, you can tell that they pay attention to detail.

This store was running a 20/$10 bodysuit sale. My mom and I were super excited to stock up our family members for a great price! We spent the better part of 2 hours there shopping not just the bodysuits but other departments as well. We had two shopping carts full to bless our family members with! The cashier rang up our bodysuits first, 160 total. There were some issues with getting the price just right for some reason. Someone who appeared to be the manager/franchise owner was working on the neighboring register and could over hear what was happening. Two young girls were now working on the register I was at and they still couldn’t figure it out. Totals for an $80 purchase ranged anywhere from $240, $160, and $85. The manager then started to ask if they could switch registers because it was taking these two young girls way too long to figure out that 160 bodysuits cost $80. They declined her help and continued on. Eventually they figured it out and the cashier finished ringing up the rest of my purchase. She said my total was over $200. I told her that the total was too high and that it should have been around $125. She then had to re-ring everything again that wasn’t a bodysuit and had to call the other young girl back. At this point the manager/owner has realized how much time has been wasted and how long the line was getting behind me but still didn’t do anything to help these two young girls. Finally these two young girls figured it out and I paid. After she handed me my receipt she said nothing to me. I made a point of saying thank you to her to which she just smirked at me. I joking said that I bet they were happy to see the back of me and she replied that she was happy because I was being rude. How was I being rude? By being patient while these two young girls had to use their phones to figure out the math? Or how I was being patient while they had to re-ring my other items? Or how I said nothing to the manager asking her to help these two young girls out? Or how I handed over $125 of my hard earned money to bless others with? You could have heard a pin drop in the checkout line when she said this to me. I then turned to the manager and she said "I’m so sorry she said that." I will NEVER go back to this store. It doesn’t matter if a person spends $5 or $500 in a business. They should NEVER be treated like trash and that’s exactly how I felt. Why should I support a small franchise when I’m treated like this? I could get better service at Walmart where as a customer you have to do everything yourself! At least I wouldn’t have to deal with a nasty employee. This is completely unacceptable behavior.

After selling here for several years, I just don't understand. They act incredibly picky and offer you mere cents for items they purchase from you, then turn around and sell them at a ridiculous profit. They purchased an expensive brand of rain jacket from me with several other articles of clothes for $5 and I saw the same rain jacket on their rack about a month later, for $27!!!! It was a discontinued style and colorway (and sale size), so there's no way it was a multiple. The entire store reeks of a strong perfume and it takes multiple washings to remove. The icing on the cake was the $17 I spent on two used, torn, stained Halloween costumes the other day. Upon paying, an employee told me I had $25 in store credit. I was pretty thrilled - finally this store was paying off! Then another employee leaned over to help since the original so employee was having trouble and said "it's expired". I asked what the store credit could've possibly been from because I always cash out from their purchases. It's always less than $10 (despite multiple bins being brought in). The employee said it must've been from a return - again, inaccurate because I've never made a return. I told her I was not aware I had a store credit, nor did I know it had an expiration date so how was I to know? She literally shrugged her shoulders and said "I'm not sure". So I'm done with this store. I'm sad to say, but it's just way too overpriced for me to continue supporting them and their practices just don't seem ethical to me at all.

Owner told me to call her to talk about my terrible experience. I have since tried to call her twice and the employee said that she is NEVER in the building. Since leaving my 1 star review, this company has had their cronies leave multiple 5 star reviews on Google all within a 24 hour of my review. Shady business tactics.

This store has a massive selection and very organized ! I feel as if they've always done right by me when bringing clothes in sometimes I get more than I expected so that's always a good thing! I like the staff as well even when they are busy they make sure they tend to you as soon as possible. Within the 2 years I've been selling and shopping here, Ive had great experiences. No complaints here !

I rarely shop here but I have always enjoyed this place when I do have the time to look around or bring in clothes to receive money or trade. I recently went a few days ago with quite a big bag and the two girls that went through the clothes were very nice and polite. I came out with $58 and had a reasonable amount of clothes that were denied. I was pleased either way because I received good money for good quality clothes and the two girls were very nice and considerate of my time and what I brought in . Today I went in and there was at least 4-5 staff talking about shows they liked while I was waiting to have my items taken back again to go through. I brought in two pretty big boxes to resell just as I did the other day. All the clothes were very nice non stained 0-12 month winter/fall clothes. Not even 10 min they were “done” sorting and I got $13. None of the items even looked like they have been through like they were the other day. When I asked if they went through all the bags the guy said yes. There is no way I brought in 2 big bags full of nice clothes and it was gone through in less then 10 min and received $13 when I received $58 from 1 bag the other day. You can tell the employees pick and chose when they want to go through things correctly and when they don’t. They rather talk amongst each other about their favorite shows then be kind and considerate of the customers items and time. Very sad. Not sure if I will ever go back to this store at least in Winchester. To many young staff that really don’t seem to actually want to go through things. Wish the two ladies the last day I went was their then these 4-5 staff that were there today. To me it’s not even about the money it’s my time. I could have just went somewhere else then have my time wasted bringing in nice clothes to resell to just have them thrown around the bags and take it all back home. Considering some of items are brought in where brand new crazy how they apparently “went through everything”. And brand new items and shoes were still left.

It appears the owners actually deleted my review of this store, as it contained specific details of their staff actually loudly shaming and mocking me publicly (as in shouting at me in front of staff and customers alike) when I challenged the fact they had clearly not even gone through my boxes, since despite the fact I had brought in a large quantity of items and there were a couple other sellers in front of me, I was called back after a few minutes. I had brought new with tag and clean boutique clothing items only, but was told they were so disgusting no employee would even touch them when I challenged them on rejecting all but two items on the top of the box. Obviously you reading this cannot see the quality of items I offered them, but take my word for it I am not an idiot, I offered them only items which were of the same or in most cases higher quality than what they sell at OUAC.The manager on duty came over when I complained and it was actually her shouting at me. I felt dehumanized by their treatment of me and it was the worst experience I have ever had in a place of business. Then when I posted a review here, someone, maybe the same manager, posted on HERE again stating my clothes were filthy and so maybe if I brought in better items I would get better responses.I have and I continue to share in community and consignment circles what happened to me, how I was treated and that this store’s consignment purchase system is an absolute scam. They refuse to acknowledge the staffing problems and just blame (and even go so far as to shame) the people trying to sell to them, instead of actually putting in the effort to fully and fairly sort and price items. And then they apparently just get taken down the reviews that call them on this. Absolutely shocking business practices. I will never return to this store to buy or sell and will continue to warn others away in as many public venues as I can. No person should ever be so dehumanized in a store by its employees that they flee from it, crying, afterwards. Shame on them, and further shame for refusing to even take responsibility. I don’t make a habit of reviewing stores I’ve visited, good or bad. If my experience here hadn’t been as horrifying as it was, I wouldn’t take the time to post, and then come back and repost what I had experienced.Edit: spelling and grammar errors.

Let me start by saying I absolutely love what this store has to offer. The selection they have is great. That is not my complaint. My complaint is that the staff make me feel unwelcome every time I shop there. I never leave reviews, but after so many experiences with the young, college aged girls and their ice cold, unfriendly demeanor at the register and making me feel like I’m bothering them whenever I ask a question, I thought the owner should be aware. I read other reviews and realize I’m not the only mother out there being treated poorly.

I've heard such good things about this store and however they do have quite a selection to choose from. My experience however was not the greatest. I brought three totes of sizes ranging newborn-9months in to trade in. At the end of the trade in the employees thqt had went through my items, they offered me $23. They gave me my totes back with half the clothes still folded, like they didn't go through any of my items. Mind you the girl at the register was not pleasant either. Their excuse was "were being picky with sizes right now". I feel this should be posted on their website or fb page that they religiously post on. For trade in this was a horrible place to go too.

Customer service skills are lacking. The shopping experience is not always pleasant and the employees at the counter are rude and unpleasant. The donation process is pathetic, they low ball the pay out and take 5 items out if the bag. Which is fine except, I've seen things from Walmart there so I don't know what's wrong with the items I bring. they are all name brand and most of it she wore once or never. Some of it even has tags still attached.
