Took my Odyssey here for a starter replacement. Everyone was accommodating and friendly. I walked home and received a phone call from the receptionist giving me a final price for the repair. She asked if I'd like an oil and filter change and tire rotation, as the mileage was due for it. "Sure", I said. An hour or so later I was out walking and stopped by to see if it was ready. It was not. The car was up on the lift, as the mechanic was at lunch. I asked to look at the invoice. I noted I was to be charged $89.00 for an oil change and tire rotation. I told the lady that her competition charged $39.00 for the same...$29.00 if I brought in a Valu-Pac coupon. She was unable to help me. Again, the mechanic was at lunch. I asked her to forget the oil change, have the mechanic take it down off the rack and I'll pay for the starter. I was frankly disgusted at this point. I walked home. The receptionist called telling me that they'd go ahead and match the competition's cost. Fine I said, do the oil change. When I picked up the car, yes they had charged just $33.00 for the oil change and tire rotation. The receptionist offered the dog-ate-my-homework excuse that the reason for the $89.00 oil change and tire rotation was because I'd asked that the mechanic check the tire pressure in the spare, and that to do so would involve removing the floor board, so the labor cost justified such a charge. Okay, first of all, cars don't have removable floor boards. Secondly, all that's involved is pulling back a pad of carpet to easily access the spare well. Thirdly, the competition will do this as a courtesy. This business practice is also known as fibbing. So at the end of the day, this operation charged me a fair price for my oil change...but only because they got caught trying to do otherwise. The Honda dealer charges $59.00 for the same, and I thought that was an offensive price. Watch who you try to rip off. Not nice to make enemies in a small town.

I have been going here regularly over the last 2 years, and have never had an issue or bad experience. The staff has expert knowledge on my import convertible and my domestic truck. Their prices are competitive and they have always been upfront with me about costs and scheduling.

I very strongly recommend NOT to take your business to OLD TOWN GARAGE! They are poorly staffed and their ONE mechanic is lazy... We took our truck there twice to get a diagnosis of a simple issue we were having. 6 hours total and they could not place what was wrong. Very poor service!!!

Based on the glowing recommendation of a good friend, I was looking forward to finally finding a consistently trustworthy/competent garage. Unfortunately, my first experience quickly taught me that I will neither use them or recommend them to anyone in the future. I dropped off my car for a noise that I assumed was the water pump or a tensioner pulley. They confirmed my belief (water pump) and quoted me $699 including all parts, labor and supplies. I was told they would call if they found anything else causing the price to change. When I picked up my car Christopher charged me $959 and didn't care about the previous verbal quote. I wish I could have had the chance to find out how good they are over the years but Chris's lack of integrity and customer service closed that door.

I've known Ian for about 3 years or so.everytime I've needed to borrow a tool or something, he's always been there. We are in a financial slump and was having a problem with our van and Ian gladly took it in to look at it because his concern was for our safety,so it just goes to show it's not always about money...You are a wonderful person as well as a great mechanic...Thank you!!!

Very pleased with the technicians knowledge & quality of work. All the gentlemen on staff are extremely professional, polite & thoroughly explain the work that needs to be done. I've been bringing my vehicles to OTG for years and years and fully trust them as they have the customer's best interest under the hood! :)

I highly recommend this place. I had a number of issues with my car, which they quickly diagnosed and fixed at a competitive price with excellent service. The mechanic also made a few additional adjustments to tighten things up and get rid of some belt squeal, all free of charge. They even let me drive around for two days with a brand new battery while they tried to charge the old battery, all free of charge. They provided top-notch service, did a great job on the repairs, and went far above and beyond what they "had to do" to fix the car. I got far better service here than I ever have at a big-name, chain service center.

They have no idea what they are doing out there never take your car there unless you want to spend $260 for them to put a bolt where is doesn't belong... Highly do not recommend anyone going here

Very helpful, customer oriented. Now I get all of my vehicles serviced here. Honest mechanics are very hard to find anymore and have gotten nothing but good service here at reasonable prices. They tend to be slow, but it is done right. Hope this helps others looking for a mechanic.

Took my son's VW 2001 Passat to them with a massive (6 qts of oil in 2 days) oil leak. I could not diagnose the issue adequately. So I left the vehicle with instructions to contact me and go over options, etc. before any work was started! Ian put the car on the lift and found a hole in the oil pan. Jennifer (in the office) called me with updates and let me know exactly what options I had. In the meantime of course I priced out brand new oil pans for the vehicle from different vendors with the cheapest being around $189 + taxes. Ian proposed sending the current oil pan out to have it spot welded to see if that would work with the caviot that if the weld did not work I still had not paid anything. Welding, labor, oil & filter change, car back in action in 1.5 days for $211.88! Ian telling my son face to face that "under no circumstances should you be driving this car like a jeep of you will be back giving me YOUR, not your dad's money again"; PRICELESS. Thanks Ian, we will be back for great and fairly piced service. The Germelman family.
