I have been a member of NFCU since 1980. I have been a customer with barely 2 Pennie's to rub together, one whose credit was maxed out, and one with financial security. NFCU WAS SIDE by side with me the entire time. I have overdrawn my checking account, purchased a 60,000.00 SUV and taken out a 20k signature loan without ever leaving my home. And I was treated the same regardless of my balances (Or lack there of!). Hands down the most professional and courteous staff I have ever dealt with. They are with me wherever I go. If you are not a member of Navy Fed, I am sad for you!

Extremely nice group of people! The first of the month and a Friday today was very busy, however managers health customers in the line by doing their transactions in the back as well. They cleared out a line that was almost out the door in about 7 minutes!

Not impressed at all with NFCU..was with Wells Fargo before they at least take a dollar out of your checking each time you use your ATM card and put it in your savings..we had 500.00 in our savings from this which was a nice surprise. NFCU is your typical bank rules and policies not all it says it is!!!! Not worth the problem you have to go through to join. When you are first applying for a membership you would think you are in a class of elites all their own as much as they put you through. NAAAHH!! Ive dealt with MUCH BETTER BANKS!!

I would give this place more stars if it wasn't for their drive through banking. It's extremely frustrating when I follow the rules and pull into a lane that says OPEN and wait my turn and then someone that clearly can't read pulls into a CLOSED lane and the tellers help them before me or anyone else that's patiently and correctly waiting their turn. I don't think that's right. They should tell them to leave the lane and go get in line, in an OPEN lane and wait patiently like everyone else. I wouldn't come back to this branch if there was another one close by. This has happened to me so many times here I'm at my wits end. Please tellers, please do right by the customers that are doing the right thing.

Its an average bank. Lotsa nonsense policies and rules. Tried to get a debt consolidation loan for $8,000 for a personal loan and a credit card maxed out. Each with a 17.9% Interest rate. They approved me for 18% and $218/Month which is $70/month MORE than I was already paying. The point of a debt consolidation loan is to LOWER my monthly payments. Totally missed the mark on that one. Mobile app is outrageously confusing. And, as a lower class customer, I get 6-9¢ a month interest yield. Again, not impressed. You cant get debits from your savings, so you cant set up a bill to be deducted from your savings. Its MY account, MY money, let me handle my financial strategy. You just hold my money for me. Also, only $20 a month in ATM surcharge rebates and, heres the catcher, there isnt a single ATM within 30 miles of me. If there is, I haven't found it. Howabout I get my surcharge rebates for unlimited times because of unavailability of ATMs?! Only reason I switched was because they were theonly bank that was in Hawaii that was relatively close to home when I retired from the Army. No contest with USAA. I will be going back to USAA. Then, there is the stupid posting of pending deposits. I get a pending deposit showing 3-5 days before it actually posts. And, if it says that it will post on a certain day, you would expect it to be there that morning. NOPE. 12am the NEXT morning. Ie: pending deposit on 27th. Actual time deposit, 12am, or later one the 28th. Why not just say the 28th???! Soon as my stuff is paid off, Ill be going back to USAA. Sionara NFCU!

I have been a member since 1993. During that time I have been completely satisfied with their products and service. Over the years it has only gotten better. I especially enjoy dealing with my branch here in Winchester, Va. Everybody there is so pleasant and helpful. I now have to deal with another bank for reasons beyond my control and the experience has reinforced to me how good I have it with NFCU. My NFCU branch deserves more than 5 stars.

I have been a long standing member and I have to say this credit union branch is great. The representatives that work here are always so friendly. If you learn to avoid Friday payday and early Monday morning or the next business morninf after a holiday then there is never a wait.

HOURS: 9am-6pm M-F and 9am-2pm on Sat. Closed on Sun. Just like any bank branch the hours aren't great, but for those who use NFCU and live out in western VA, its nice to have a branch close. Walk up and drive thru ATMs. I had time to write this review while I waited in the parking lot for the branch to open...on my day off.
