We have made several purchases from GNC Auctions. They are friendly and quick to help.

This was my first time here, and everything was explained to me on the processes, and everyone was so nice. I will definitely buy again.

We've bought quite a few pieces from GNC. Some of the bad reviews are absolutely unfair. The entire process is readily available online. Looks like some people were unprepared and lazy. The entire staff have ALWAYS been kind and friendly. They pick your items, that are usually left of some type of a cart for YOU to take to your vehicle. If it needs to be disassembled...that's on you.

Participating in local auctions can be a delightful experience, fostering community ties and supporting local businesses. However, my very first interaction with GNC Online Auctions based in Winchester, was far from welcoming. As a local resident eager to engage with community businesses, I was disheartened by the service I received.
Upon arrival at the home property for an online auction pickup, I was immediately asked if I had brought help, a question that set a rather unwelcoming tone for the visit. As a first-time participant, I was unaware of the protocol and thus unprepared. I was told that staff on-site would not be helping me (which was ok by me!) while also being chastised multiple times for not bringing help, which made me feel uncomfortable.
When one of my items, which was zip-tied to a wall (to everyone's surprise) proved difficult to remove, I was bluntly informed that it was my responsibility to bring the necessary tools for item removal and they wouldn't offer me a pocket knife. Despite my polite inquiries and apologies for my oversight as a newcomer to their auctions, I was then told to go back a re-read my auction paper about bringing tools. The response was dismissive and unhelpful, underscoring a lack of empathy or customer service.
Moreover, encountering a misrepresented item—a vanity with broken legs—added to my disappointment. Though a refund was offered, it was not before a demeaning suggestion by a third worker that I should "just take it and glue it," which felt dismissive of legitimate concerns over the item's condition.
Comparatively, my experiences with other auction companies across Virginia have generally been positive, highlighting a stark contrast in customer service quality and respect. Unfortunately, this experience with GNC reflected poorly on Frederick County's auction businesses, challenging my pride in our community's ability to welcome and respect both locals and visitors alike.
The kindness of an out-of-town couple, who assisted me with removing my purchase, was a silver lining in an otherwise disheartening experience. It reminded me of the warmth and helpfulness that should define our interactions, especially in community-centric businesses.
In conclusion, while I am an advocate for supporting local business and believe in the importance of community solidarity, the treatment I received at GNC Antiques was unwelcoming and discourteous. Customer service, especially in local businesses, should be about building relationships and trust, not about alienating those who wish to engage positively with the community.

The new owners are not transparent in the commission they take, they said commission in based on lots, however they provide a commission chart however it doesn’t match up . For example one of my items sold for $52.50 by their chart that would be 30 percent, across the board they charged me 40 percent on all of my items . They missed several of my items on the list of sold items. In addition two of my items were put in a different auction different lot. Most of the positive reviews were for the former owner changed hands in 2020. I would not recommend this company, if you are selling items.

I just got back from GNC , to discuss missing items and there fee structure. Lack of transparency , very misleading. For example, I sold an item for $ 52.50 based on the fee structure that would be 30 percent. However across the board they charged 40 percent on all my items regardless of the price. I would NOT recommend this company very shady.

There is no difference in paying with cash or credit card; they charge a 15% buyer's premium. False advertising on their website.

GNC Auctions participates in HiBid's "Negative Feedback" scam, which is part of HiBid's faulty bidder rating system. Essentially, if one auction house dings you for any reason, or no reason at all, almost everyone else will too. Your feedback score plummets quickly and almost no one will do business with you. If GNC wants to play that scam, that's a problem for their business. They won't be getting mine, and they don't deserve your either! Avoid this auction house unless you want to be treated badly.

When auctioneers are using internet auction sites to generate more customers, hence higher sales prices with greatly reduced expenses/overhead, they then have a greater responsibility to disclose important information to buyers/bidders. Most internet buyers are not able to preview due to being a great distance away and depend on honest and accurate disclosure of the merchandise in which they are interested. This disclosure allows bidders to make informed decisions about the items that they are buying. Also, they don’t feel duped when they receive items which are clearly marked but no mention is made of markings or photos taken of the marks which the auctioneer knows would diminish the hammer price of the item. This concept is called “Deception through omission”. I’m not sure if Scott and his team understand this concept. I will never spend another penny with GNC or Scott. Please be very careful about how you conduct business with this place. There's a reason that GNC Auctions has a 1 star rating on Yelp! Save your self from the aggravation that I experienced...buy elsewhere!

Huge scam. I bought a few video game lots online and when they showed up they were just the cases. No where in the description did it mention no discs were included
