Few employees are knowledgeable, but that's not why I'm giving a bad review--nor is it that it's hard to get hold of people on the phone. I bought a Bosch dishwasher and paid for installation. The installation was faulty, but in such a way that the problem (door popping open during the cycle) wasn't apparent until a few months later. (They put the screw on the edge of the wood--it took a few months to splinter.) The repairman confirmed that this was an installation issue, and I had to pay for it, but Home Depot and their installer said it wasn't their responsibility because I'd passed the 48-hour mark. I will think twice before ordering appliances from HD because of this issue.

I went into the Winchester VA location to buy a zero turn lawn mower. After spending almost $4000 on a lawn mower they gave me a packet (owners manual) with no keys and asked me what I did with the key and said that they are always with the manuals. A store associate and manager dug thru a very unorganized box of multiple zip lock packets of manuals and came across one and said if there's a key give that packet to him. After further investigation the manual and all contents were saturated with water and full of mold and dirt with pages sticking together. This is unacceptable for a store that sells multiple lawn mowers weekly to have such un organization.

As long as you choose to go in and do your shopping, there shouldn't be an issue. The times I encounter problems here are for the curbside, delivery, or pick up in store, orders. Also, if you have thin skin and happen to be a woman, this isn't a store for you. Every single man in this building will, inevitably, crack a joke about women and their deficiencies when it comes to home improvement. Just be ready for it. They have recently taken away the 10% Military discount on tons of items throughout the store. Apparently millions of dollars in profit just wasn't enough. That just makes me sad for them. If they're hurting that bad, we can afford to pay full price. The store is always pretty clean. The staff are typical to the times we live in. They'll help if they really have to, but don't think they'll approach you with any kind of preemptive courtesy. I LOVE Home Depot, but this particular location makes me want to update my status to: It's complicated.

Prodesk have the worst service, laziest workers, and ignorants, and you can't complain to the idiots managers they won't help either, I'll avoid going to that Home Depot until they change all the staff who don't know anything about Construction and don't want to learn either.

I got a good deal on the Vigoro mulch for my landscaping project. It is on sale now. My landscaper picked it up. So easy to coordinate.

Here's a great one: I ordered a dewalt 27 cc string trimmer from homedepot on line. When I received it I noticed it was an MTD product( I known that I wouldn't have bought it)meaning that it's the same as Troy- built ,cub cadet and many other names. Then in wrapping this thing and adding a supplied handle I noticed another dissatisfaction: it weighs too much! Somewhere over 13 lb. I put in some 2 cyc gas and ran it a little. I mentioned my complaints to my wife and she wanted to give it a go.In ten minutes this thing ate all the string and would not advance any more. The next day I took apart the head and two metal pieces broke off, making it useless.I've installed an after market head( because you cannot find the part). I boxed it up and took it to the depot to return it. First 2 associates said no problem, then the Boss of the returns dept comes over and says no. It's not our problem call Home Depot on line . So I did and they said to take it to any store. I returned with the trimmer in the box, Same store And the witch Boss says : After 30 days gas powered equipment cannot be returned. This boss is just nasty! And with this treatment, I urge everyone not to shop there.

We had a fantastic experience working on our kitchen renovation. Tyler and Karen in the cabinet section were fantastic with helping us draw up our kitchen and get everything ordered. Once the cabinets came in, we had some issues with scheduling the delivery, but Keeley went above and beyond helping us make sure we had the cabinets delivered in time for our project to start! The whole group at Home Depot has truly met our expectations. Thank you all so much!!!

Don't waste your time. Salesperson had no clue how to tint the Rustoelum HOME floor paint I wanted. Called for help from someone in another part of the store who supposedly knew how to do it. Then after I waited 20 minutes he told me, sorry no one is coming to help. Then I could not buy the other items I tried to purchase because I didnt have my military ID & they couldnt look me up by my phone number...when they've done it before. Left all items there & walked out. Wasted an hour of my time for nothing. Will never return.

I always find the people in this store extremely friendly and willing to help me with all of my projects. The fact that they have remained open and have clearly set up standards to keep people as healthy as they can during our time of pandemic is definitely a plus. And when they can maintain those standards when dealing with those who clearly DO NOT care about others makes them a 5 star store all around!!

Purchased a gas grill with free assembly online, chose the options to receive email and text when the grill was ready for pick-up. Which I did receive both stating that the grill was ready for pickup. Once at the store, the clerk went to retrieve the grill and came back to the counter without the grill. The grill was not assembled and it would be 5 days before it could be assembled. I was asked if I wanted to wait or take the grill with me, I took the grill unassembled. I understand this is a free service but a follow up stating about the assembly prior to going to the store would have been nice and saved myself and the store time.

Home Depot in Winchester is not enforcing the mask policy that the governor executed! Let's not keep COVID going Home Depot!! What is your policy and why are you not enforcing it?? Please let people know before they contract the virus from your store!

After a previous horrid experience at the “blue store” we went straight to Home Depot and what a great experience. Lorena and Riley were absolutely amazing and so helpful during our purchase of a zero turn. Thank you!!

Ordered GE appliances at the end of January. Delivery today and driver refused to deliver. He offered to leave them in the carport only (house being built, nothing was going on inside though for this reason). He told his boss he was afraid to get stuck and said there were no steps to house (all a lie; he backed up to carport where steps are so no mud or anything). Only options they gave me to retrieve said appliances would cost me money (another day off of work to try again even though nothing on site will change; rent a truck myself; etc) or cost me time (house needs to be finished). Not please at all. Will not be purchasing from them again! Their delivery agency (ForwardAir) is terrible! Buyers be aware!
