Do not, I repeat, do not use this pharmacy. They have the most incompetent employees. They cannot find your prescription because they do not know how to find anything in their system and they will look you in the eye and say your physician never called it in or that the physician must have deleted it, even after you've told them you just spoke to the physician and they called you to confirm it had been sent to the pharmacy.it is difficult enough these days to navigate the health system (insurance companies, hospitals and physicians); CVS just adds an additional layer of time and frustration to get your medications. Customer service is clearly not at the heart of how they run their business I would not give them any stars, but at least one is required to post a review.

This pharmacy is a disaster. First of all, they always say you have to wait a few minutes. Then, when you ask for your prescription, they tell you it is on hold. Then, you ask why is it on hold. They do not know. Would you look again, I ask, Then they say the medicine is not in. Come back at 5:00 pm. The next day, the medicine is not in. And because you are frustrated, you ask why and then another lady starts saying, Sir, we said we are sorry for the inconvenience. Okay....but this medicine has been on order for three days and three trips. Sorry, I just cannot go there anymore. Customer service...no, not here.

Zero stars!! This store lacks proper customer service and the staff needs to be trained. After trying to receive assistance one clerk response to helping me resolve the matter was "there's not a damn thing I can do!" And tried to dismiss me asking for someone else to assist. Had I not been trained in customer service I would've cussed him out. But the best way to respond to ignorance is no response at all. I'll be calling to speak to the manager another time since he was not there. I didn't get the chance to get that guys name. Very loud and obnoxious.

Boorish and unprofessional are the two words that come to mind in describing the customer service at this location. I had to return two times for a bottle of prescription mouthwash that needed no preparation. Just pull it off the shelves and sell it. That would be too much to ask here, though; they needed at least 45 minutes to do this simple and quick task. If you question them even a little bit, you get lip back. If you're looking for friendly, quick and quite adequate service from CVS, I'd suggest you go to the one on North Frederick Pike, just a short drive from Amherst. The CVS on Amherst? If I could give zero stars I would. Avoid it if and when you can.

It has become painfully clear that the Amherst CVS Pharmacy is woefully under-staffed and unable to provide even marginally satisfactory customer service. For three days, and within previous weeks, I have waited on the phone for 10 minutes or more for a human answer before hanging up in frustration. I have witnessed it in person as long lines back up with customers waiting to either pick up or leave a prescription, with the phone ringing unanswered and cars backed up outside. The staff there are busy and working as hard as possible, this is not a criticism of them. This is a poor management issue which has become chronic.

This place is a joke! They don't CARE! Lost 2 of my prescription and gave me an attitude over it because I couldn't remember the name of the diuretic that I was having refilled. Both prescriptions that they've lost were being transferred from another pharmacy. If they can't handle this SIMPLE task, how can you trust them to fill you prescription accurately?
